  1. I started a thread last year about the ‘next Creator Expert Building - Rumours and Discussion’. Looks like this is it - first new one since Big Ben in 2016.
  2. I’m gonna assume it was booted cos if u go onto the 4DBrix website there’s an announcement that says: ‘Due to a sudden change of the Bricklink User Agreement we're, unfortunately, no long allowed to sell our products through Bricklink. We're currently working on the interface for a European webshop. Meanwhile our European hub remains operational and you can purchase our products through them. You can reach them by email at: info(@)4dbrix.eu.’ That sounds like they didn’t have a choice to me.
  3. I’ve always thought this would be an ideal Expert set. We’ve had a modern passenger train, a modern cargo train, and a 20th century steam train - but no 19th century trains, and this is the obvious choice.
  4. There was this thread a while back, where the 8881 battery box was used as the fuel tank underneath the train as well as giving power on the 4511 World City train. The 7740 uses a different method again. I’d say you should use 8881 when you can because it lasts longer and is less than half the price of 88000. But remember it’s heavier.
  5. I’ve always wanted a zoo, and more cargo related stuff. Any shops would be welcome too - a butcher is probably by top pick there.
  6. Construction is one of the best themes in my opinion, for example 7905 Building Crane from 2006 which is massive! However there is one set coming out this year tagged ‘construction’ - 60252. Hopefully this will be a proper large crane of some kind - I’ve still not got a crawler crane and want one similar to 7632.
  7. Cafe corner had a hotel as part of it, though that’s coming up to 13 years old now. Plus CC had no interior. Is a hotel a possibility with CC?
  8. Truly amazing modular - can’t believe you’ve got 32 minifigs into one model! Looking forward to seeing more MOCs from you in the future.
  9. Really nice design and progress. I recommend the old 9v magnets - those plus brick-built buffers would look more realistic than the all-in-one part that comes with trains from sets today (BL parts 2920, 73092)
  10. Great MOC! I love it when people integrate Lego shapes into their MOCs, like this one and Eight Studs from Bricklink. Would be interested to see it integrated into a city.
  11. Haddock 51 posted this topic in this forum a couple of years ago Anyway, good luck!
  12. Looks great! How many of the wood pattern parts do you need per gondola?
  13. Make a circle so that you can run the trains. In my experience, motion gains you more attention because children find anything that moves far more interesting than anything else. My guess is your visitors this show were mostly adults - you get an audience with a wider age range with motion of any kind. Tracks are also an important beginning to any layout - if you get 2 full circles of track you can then build additional modules on those - otherwise you may make modules but not have a full circle - this way you can have both! Anyway, great design and looking forward to seeing more in the coming year(s)!
  14. Everyone support Sword of the Seas to get a new pirate ship through!
  15. A bus station is definitely more likely than a train station - ‘sigh’ - though if something like that happened I reckon it would just be another modular with a bus stop on the side. I also honestly reckon a modular police station has no chance with the combination of hundreds of AFOL MOCs, the regular police stations (as far as I can see modulars are normally very rarely made in CITY form (e.g. no French restaurant in CITY) rather than every year in some form) and the detective’s office which is part of a police station. I’d like to see a museum of some kind (the designer of the new IDEAS set Pirate Cove has had another project of a modular museum reach 10000 supporters) and I really like the tall signs of CC and PC so would like another modular with one of those.
  16. I’m so pleased this is being made a set - one of my favourite IDEAS sets yet and from an excellent designer too - I’ve supported over 25 of his designs and hope to see more in the future!
  17. Some people cut the end of the track off to make it easily moveable - though not sure this would work with 9v track.
  18. How would an A4 Pacific sell? (The class of the Mallard, fastest ever locomotive, reaching 126 mph)
  19. Thats certainly a good idea - i can't thing of a single MOC where I've really thought 'I want that' that uses the current buffers - producing the magnets would also be a good addition.
  20. If AS is retired, when do you think LEGO Shop@Home will go out of stock? I missed BB last year because it went out of stock in November, but PC the previous year lasted until March at least.
  21. The best garbage truck and the most realistic IMO (I don’t know if they look different outside the UK) is actually 4432, released in 2012.
  22. I would personally recommend 7 wide as a minimum, but I’m a junior here so you can’t really go by only me!
  23. This one’s certainly better than the other one imo. Are you gonna build a Railjet?
  24. Amazing - can’t wait to see it completed and in real life. When do you think it will be completed?
