Hello everyone! I would like to apologize if it is not allowed to show our lego’s collection… it is considered as spam may be? Sorry in this case. It includes MOCs (LDD0xx), MODs (xxxx+LDD0xx), Lepin figures ("-F" from "false")... from all the episode films (I-IX), with referenced names from Wookieepedia (https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Main_Page). This videos had already existed, but today they have been updated because of the Chistmas adquisitions. The LDD files are available if someone wants any of them, feel free to improve them. Whenever people see my collection they always comment on how large it is (even though I'll usually only have about 5% on display at any time due to space) and I'll usually correct them by saying that it's small compared to some people's. I have (as of right now) 466 sets and including lose pieces approximately 120,000 parts. I'd consider my collection to be small. I was just wondering what other people would consider to be a "large" collection? -
Edit: Show the most recent photo. Over the past 6 months I have been pulling all the shields I could find from my collection. I am 56 shields shy of having a complete collection. I have created a bricklink wanted list and am considering sourcing the remaing shields that are priced under $10 (all but one of them). I also need to source some more number tiles. The black 2x2 radar dish and the black 3x3 disk pieces are placeholders for missing shields. The black 1x1 round plates are placeholders for missing number tiles. After a lot of work I'm happy to present you: LEGO Part Manager - Version 1.0 This program helps you managing your currently displayed models and your other "ready to build" parts. It's able to calculate, which of your parts can be used in new builds. Description / How to use it If you start the program for the first time it will show you kind of a login page. There you need to enter your Rebrickable API Key (Go to your profile page, click settings and get your API Key) and User Hash, which you can generate here. After pressing the "Connect" button you can see all your set lists and part lists. All pre-selected lists are used in your normal Rebrickable build calculations. When clicking the "Download selected" button the program starts downloading all the selected items. This may take a while and in the mean time the program does not react fast, because it is busy... (Should change with the next versions.. ). When the download is complete, you can input all your displayed Sets / MOCs on the display tab. Please use the same MOC number as on Rebrickable, otherwise the program can't find the MOC. Take an example from the image and screenshot below... After downloading the sets, it will also show up the names. Now you can go to the build tap, where you can input the Set / MOC you want to build. After pressing "Calculate", it could look like so, then you have all the needed parts in your parts collection. If you are missing some parts, it looks similar to that. The file "NeededParts.csv" could be upload to Rebrickable as a private MOC, in order to see the part images or whatever... Current version: 1.0 - from 18.09.2016 (See change log below) Download program (.exe) here. Take a look into the source code here. You can compile your own version of this program on any operating system (Linux, Mac) since it's written completely in Pascal. Features Imports set lists and part list from your Rebrickable account Build calculations only with unused parts Change the display / set lists always possible Uses the Rebrickable .csv format for further use of the file It's Open Source Limitations / Bugs No name based search, you need to input the correct set / MOC number GUI needs some updates... Works only with the Rebrickable API, no other part sources... Also need to add more comments in the source code Changelog Version 1.0 - 18.09.2016 Initial release I hope that at least a few people are going to use this program and providing ideas for further improvement. Hi. I'm a Lego Technic MOC builder but when I got into Lego years ago I have got a lot of sets and made some... interesting MOCs. I'm considering to change up my display setup to make it look better, and I thought asking for advice and suggestions would be a great idea. Here's the collection as of now: The left shelf has my MOCs and the right shelf has sets and space MOCs. (The posters above are going to be removed) Left Shelf On the top of the left shelf are cars I made over 3 years ago. They're not pretty, and I probably won't be taking them apart for new builds since I'm giving my full time to Technic. On the middle of the shelf is some custom Bionicle figures I made as part of a weird story I made on the now defunct Lego.com gallery. On the bottom of the shelf is a... quirky house with a living room, kitchen, closet, bathroom, and bedroom that I made probably four years ago, broke, and rebuilt. It serves no use and its use as a display piece is kind of worthless, but it's one of the biggest things I built at the time. The playground on the middle shelf used to be connected to the right of the house. It hurts to remember having it on my dresser not playing with it because the house wasn't pretty. I should rebuild the house into something new but I'm keeping it as a memory and since all the pieces are a different color and I have no idea what to build. MineCraft Display A ton of MineCraft sets I got to connect to each other and make a cool display. Unfortunately I ignore it often and never got to my plans to put a MineCraft wallpaper up to make it look like a set box, but I'd like to. Right Shelf Just built sets and space MOCs I made forever ago. Top Shelf I expanded the shelf above by placing two poster frames and holding them up with a bar mounted in the wall, making it easy for removal and since I don't want to use a permanent structure. I like it but it's impossible to see items placed all the way back, so I don't know if I want to keep it or not. Here's the bar it was on... And here's the shelf I put the boards on top of. A lot of the items on the shelves are builds I don't have as much interest in as the large Creator cars I want to display here so I'm open for ideas. If this was your space to display your Lego collection, what would you do? How would you display creations you like and the ones that are not as interesting?

Having recently bought the Spider-Man Bridge Battle set, I thought it would be amiss not to display it and make a chaotic diorama out of it. I recently learned that in the general figure collecting world, it is well-known that most plastic bags are bad choices for long-term storage of figures. What happens is a lot of plastic bags, especially the ones for food, are not designed for long-term storage. A lot of them contain acids. In time, entropy does its job, and the plastic decomposes, releasing fumes. In sealed bags, this can cause damage to figures. Now, I've heard a solution is to poke holes in the bag to allow the figure to be ventilated, but I find this to be useless, since I am also trying to protect my minifigs against humidity and mold. It seems that the safest way is to get polypropylene bags, which are designed specifically for collectibles and are the ones used in bags for comic books. If that is the case, I have hundreds of little baggies to replace... -

I was hoping people could share their Star Wars fig collections here. I would start this off, but unfortunately I haven't been able to bring my collection with me to my apartment (and hence why I enjoy seeing other people's collections even more ).

This is an attempt to start collecting gearbox designs in a single thread. To get started, feel free to add existing gearboxes, but please always add a reference to the original designer. Also be sure to add some information on designer motorized or manual sequential or direct special features like paddle shifters and number of gears, e.g. 5+R. That will also help me in making an index in the OP. Or even better, if it can not be classified along these lines from the entry here, I will not add it to the index. Thanks! -

Hi, I'm looking for optimal storage of my Lego brick collection. It is about 40'000 bricks, less than 1'200 different parts, mostly from Creator Expert, Architecture and Technic sets. At the moment most sets are built up, but I'm looking to disassemble most and store the sets, sorted by part (but not color). I would like to estimate the volume per brick type. Does anyone in this forum know of list of volume/size of the bricks by design/part? Also if anyone knows of proper values of the bulk density of of the most common types of bricks, plates and tiles, please post. While were at it, does anyone know of a list with weight per brick? Do you collect LEGO Star Wars sets and minifigures? Are you a Star Wars army builder? Do you need some Star Wars gifts for the holiday season? ...well, keep reading! After many years of collecting, I have amassed an extraneous collection of Star Wars LEGO builds and minifigures. When I was younger, I had some friends that collected Star Wars sets and minifigures, so I got into it with them and sort of kept it up through college. I really do not have much LEGO time anymore and my LEGO-related interest is in building MOCs mostly in the Castle theme, so this Star Wars collection is for sale. Available are three groups: PREQUELS: Episodes I, II, III (Group Price = $3000, includes builds and minifigures) TRILOGY: Episodes IV, V, VI (Group Price = $2000, includes builds and minifigures) CLONEWARS: Clone Wars (Group Price = $1000, includes builds and minifigures) All currency is in USD or United States Dollars Shipping to continental USA will be free. I would prefer not to ship this order internationally, but I may be willing to consider it at buyer's cost. This image is the first landing image in the album. I have a set list on Rebrickable that covers most of this, though please keep in mind that it is not as good a reference as the pictures. There also may be some items on the Rebrickable list that are not included in the sale, as there are a few sets I plan to keep that are Star Wars related. At the time of this posting, Rebrickable values this collection around $7500 for a very loose reference. The pictures in this Flickr album cover everything offered. They are titled based on the group they fall under. All picture titles starting with "123" are in group PREQUELS All picture titles starting with "456" are in group TRILOGY All picture titles starting with "CW" are in group CLONEWARS Pictures are in a specific order, with an overall group photo of builds or minifigures followed by detail photos where needed. Builds are shown first for each group (no minifigures included in these pictures), and minifigures for each group come after the builds. Many of the instruction booklets will be included, though they are not pictured. If you want to know specifically about the availability and condition of instruction booklets, please ask in a PM. I also have quite a few boxes for these sets, though not nearly all of them. These will be included for their respective sets. The descriptions should be fairly distinct about condition, though I can safely say that these are all in excellent condition or good used condition. All old, marred, nicked, bitten, discolored, etc. parts have been removed (except the cracked slave Leia torso...). Some parts and minifigures are from Bricklink/eBay purchases, but I have verified that all parts are in excellent/good condition. I’ve been collecting Lego since I was a child and I have a ridiculously large collection, 90% is built or deconstructed and stored in labelled bags per set. i’m getting to a point where I need to stop buying Lego or move to a bigger place as there is just so much, what would the community do, sell it off individually (taking the rest of time) or look to sell as a large lot? are there even places that would buy such a large collection and where is the best place to advertise/sell if I go down that route?

The recent discussion of scale (Ideas Blacksmith vs. most other sets) got me thinking. It had never occurred to me that sets being built at different scales would be an issue. Ideas is usually higher detailed and larger scale, and that's what I wanted out of that set. It being in a different scale always seemed like a bonus to me, rather than a problem. It sits on its own shelf, so that didn't bother me. So, scale inspiration aside, I wondered how other folks display their collections. I've recently moved to a new house, and set up my home office with some new features, so I thought I'd post some pics. Since we were remodeling the house anyway, and this room had some pretty substantial crown molding, I had some acrylic shelves made and installed RGB LED lights behind them so they'd light up the acrylic. EDIT: I just noticed how apparent it is that I've got one major hole in the shelving, and you can guess what's going to go there. Office 1 Office 7 Office 6 Office 3 How about y'all? How do you display your castles when you're not building?

Bit of backstory: When I was just a kid (born in 81) - my first major Lego Sets after the little airport and space base - I saw these sets and went wacko. Begged and pleaded for each-and-every set. Somehow - some way I managed to keep them intact and together over the years. Due to various issues I was unable to do much due to living situation - then that changed thanks to a good job and pulling out of debt. I've since become a Star Wars fanatic and started collecting UCS sets - but Mtron always held a very special place in my heart. My first major collection. I intend to keep it that way. I found that I was a little hard on my lego's so I had to recover/replace some parts - and missing 1 manual - 250 USD later and some patient waiting on Ebay - I can finally say I have the entire collection. I also discovered that there was a bonus set that I had missed that required 3 of the models to make this one - hence the 200 bucks or so - I bought the 3 extra duplicates of my collection to make that one special bonus. And here they are all on display. Notes: What you see is the following sets: 1478 - Mobile Satellite Up-Link 6811 - Pulsar Charger 6833 - Beacon Tracer 6877 - Vector Detector 6896 - Celestial Forager 6923 - Particle Ionizer 6956 - Stellar Recon Voyager 6989 - Mega Core Magnetizer 6862 - Secret Space Voyager (bonus "super" set - 6877, 6896 and 6923 required/used) 6704 - Extra figure Somewhere in there I may or may not have modded a couple sets for the extra parts left over from the super set - and took some creative licensing (all extra parts) 6710 - Blacktron Space Landing Plates - 3 sets of them 6971 - 2 Space "Lunar plates" from my old yet horribly broken set (I regret this) I have all manuals - no parts missing - I only lack original boxes - back in the day those where original paper - no cardboard - I regret that - but at least this survived. Now If only I could figure out what this entire collection is worth? I'm also inclined to find a MOC MTron Base for my collection. - In any case - may you enjoy and share the memories of the epic 90's. I decided to make a little themed "mining operation" showing off my collection - bought a whole pile of neon green studs due to shipping restrictions - cause why not. Yes you may or may not spot the Ice Planet models in the background - don't mind them :) Trivia Fact: This was the first time they introduced magnets into Space Legos I hope there are still some die hard MTron fans out there - love to hear from you! Hey there! I'm in the middle of working on a large project for school - one where we're almost completely free to do whatever we want for it. I've chosen to develop an all-encompassing and ideal design for animal-, UV- and dust-protected customisable and situation-adjustable LEGO collection shelves for optimal displaying of sets and models in an aesthetically pleasing and space-efficient way. Didn't know where else to share my LEGO workshop/cave so I decided to make a new topic. This is my computer room/AFOL workshop where I design my MOCs, build LEGO sets, and display my work! I use a motorized standing desk I got a few months back, and I haven't used an office chair since. I recommend one to any AFOL, as my neck hasn't been killing me since. The display area is two Ikea shelves pushed together, inside a closet with the doors removed. On top is the boxes for all four current 1:8 Technic Hypercars, as well as the Defender set and my old Mindstorms-powered Lexus LC500 MOC. On the shelves below is the Lamborghini Sian, the Ferrari Daytona SP3 (in many pieces), the Creator Expert cars, some Star Wars sets, my Speed Champions collection (with brick-built car stackers by Brickengineeringdude on Rebrickable), the Technic Audi RS Q E-Tron and Peugeot 9x8, The Office set with my Dwight's Trans Am MOC along with various other sets, and some Minecraft sets I got years ago, connected together into two dioramas. I plan to post updates in this topic with more pictures of my workshop eventually as it grows and things change. The Technic stuff, for instance, will all be pieced apart in about a month so I can start making a new 1:8 scale supercar MOC. I hope you enjoy the pictures, and I'll gladly respond to any comments regarding anything in my workshop I haven't mentioned that you'd like me to show-and-tell.

Hello! I’m starting a new topic where I’ll post cars in the SpeedChampion series sizes, including those from this series :) A few years ago I started buying Lego for my child, then I started buying Lego for myself))) ...and among the sets there were wonderful cars - different cool ones, 6stud wide. Then there were several 8wide models and now... This year I decided to organize the “collection” a little, allocated a separate shelf for it and will try to talk a little about the cars :) I've already shown my modified Citroen from the IndianaJones set (I'll have to add a couple of photos to this post), but today we're talking about a different model. I had a Bugatti 75878 :) Over time it was disassembled into parts. Beautiful - isn't it? :) Since it is better to have all cars in the same scale, the Chiron was restored in sizes 8stud. The side brand line was taken almost as in the source code, because I haven’t come up with anything that looks better, and I haven’t seen anything among MOC's. But the front and rear parts have been changed. I didn’t bother much about the back anymore. The main goal was optics, at first I assembled it in full width, but still cut it down to make it more like the original :) With my nose I had to go through several options and settled on this one. This is probably the best part I have :) I still have the part with the radiator grille sticker from the kit, but it is already quite shabby and will look sloppy :) It might be better to use another part of the windsscreen, but this one has side windows that are close to vertical, so it will be like that. We managed to fit a 16-cylinder engine into the base (there is a small camber angle in each half). In general, the result is in front of you :) Thank you all for your attention! I was just on the 'Everything we know so far' page for 2021, which I check regularly, and realised that despite I having known about both these sets for at least a month, I've seen almost no discussion of them Eurobricks. If there has been, can a mod please merge or delete this post. Just for the details: 10280 Flower Bouquet 756 pieces US$49.99 / EUR49.99 / £44.99 10281 Bonsai 878 pieces US$49.99 / EUR49.99 / £44.99 These are the first two unbranded small 18+ sets. The PPP seems pretty good. 10281 is listed on Brickset now, but with no info. 10280 is not. Interestingly, 10281 has been put under 'Sculptures' - the fourth in this category, after Statue of Liberty, LEGO Minifigure, and LEGO Dragon (all released 20 years previously). Both sets are scheduled for release January 2021. A leaked image of the Bonsai was posted on Instagram today, probably resulting in Brickset adding it to their inventory. What do you think of these sets? Is the small size a good thing? Do you see many more being released in the future? If so, what? Discuss below.

Hi all! For no particular reason, I am interested in finding out every time the Moon has been included in a LEGO set in some form. Given that there isn't really any reliable way to find this out (i.e. through Bricklink or similar), I thought it would be fun to come here and see if any of you know of any sets that include some representation of the Moon. If you know of any, please include the set's name and a short description of how the Moon is represented. Note: I completely respect that this is completely trivial and that most people won't care, but I posted this just in case anybody knows of any relevant sets to help me out on my useless little mission. I'll start with a couple of examples from sets in my collection: Harry Potter 76407 Shrieking Shack and Whomping Willow; includes the moon on a rotating clear stand behind some clouds, represented by a glow-in-the-dark 3x3 round tile. Ninjago 71813 Wolf Mask Shadow Dojo; includes the eclipsed Blood Moon as seen in Dragons Rising season 2, represented by a large printed dish held up above the dojo by a transparent piece. I'm interested to see if anybody knows of any other sets! (I know they're out there, I just know there's no way I'll be able to make a complete list all by myself, hehe)
