  1. I see that the Lego Ideas vintage tram was not approved. Opportunity missed!
  2. Does anybody yet know what the trains of 2018 will be yet? Also, will there be a station (the WV station I think makes this more unlikely) and anything else for that matter?
  3. Have you seen this? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/INSTRUCTIONS-for-SIX-custom-Christmas-cars-for-Lego-10254-Winter-Village-Train-/291986899046?epid=2059622610&hash=item43fbc68066:g:2NcAAOSwXeJYCJ0K They look like some pretty good extra carriages.
  4. You regretting not getting the WV train last year now ElectroDiva? It says on the LEGO store that this set is Coming Soon but not the return of the WV train.
  5. Couldn't you get four of these and make a square or rectangle? That would look pretty cool without MOC work needed.
  6. This is amazing! Could you possibly post the instructions or LDD file?
  7. All this is is that there have been a cargo train and a passenger train every four years (2006, 2010, 2014), so a passenger and a cargo train would be expected in 2018 too.
  8. What do you think of an ice cream parlour?
  9. What about a shopping mall? Or is that too big? Or maybe something like a zoo or aquarium? Maybe real companies like McDonald's or Costa or something like that.
  10. Good choice! Unfortunately there aren't any extra cars, cranes, or lorries/trucks that you can get from the LEGO shop, but you can always make it longer by purchasing MOCs or carriages from other sets off eBay. Heavy haul train 60098 carriages are quite easy to get hold of as it is another current set. However, you can get more track as a simple expansion.
  11. What about a whole theme on trains? You could have global trains (e.g. The Mallard, Stephenson's Rocket, a much better Hogwarts Express, Eurostar, Flying Scotsman), assorted buildings (e.g. signal box, engine shed, train wash, gantry crane, coal hopper), special track pieces (e.g. crossover, t-junction, turntable, diagonal crossover, figure of eight).
  12. I think that in LEGO City, they should release a train with each sub - theme, like they do with things like helicopters. This would mean that we could, going with the current sub - themes have: A police train A fire train An airport train such as an airport shuttle Many More And what about a Great Vehicles Train? I really want more LEGO trains but I only have a few CITY trains (7938, 7939, 60051, 60052, 60098) and the Winter Holiday train. Is it? At least in the UK, the heavy haul train 60098 is still available. It doesn't show any signs of retirement either.
  13. May I ask how much it cost to purchase the bricks and where you bought them from?
  14. M_slug357, you say that this has been discussed before. Where can I find this discussion so that I can get more information myself?
  15. Are you able to share the LDD file? It would be great if you could, as this is a beautiful little shunter.
  16. I recommend that you buy a cargo train - probably 60052. This set comes with a good track and a good train, as well as a realistic crane. Around Christmas and times like that, you can get 60052 for about £110 pounds on Amazon - £40 cheaper than the LEGO shop.
  17. I only came to LEGO trains in 2013, and as this was after the Emerald Night had been and gone, I missed getting this amazing train. The Emerald Night is a 1085 piece set from 2009, and due to it being released at this time, can only be bought at extremely high prices - money that I don't have. It currently costs around £600 to purchase new on Amazon, £350 used on eBay, and on BrickLink £260 used and complete. But my question is this: Should I buy all the pieces individually, and if so how much would that cost, or should I buy the set for the cheapest possible price from BrickLink or another website for LEGO? I think that this train is possibly the best LEGO train set that has ever been made, which is why I want this one in particular.
