  1. This is about my favourite Lego station ever. I've always loved Jayhurst's Big Boy
  2. Just wondering, how much is all the PF in a City train set worth? I would think that it loses some of its price being integrated into the set rather than sold separately.
  3. Nice. There's definitely a change in quality between them. If you post more, can we see some pics of the train in your profile photo? I really like the look of that one.
  4. I have supported this, but the locomotive and tender are very similar to the Winter Holiday Train
  5. The horizon express had no 'extra cars' set(s), so I doubt this one will. There has been absolutely nothing on the new station if it will happen at all, but 60195 is the Arctic Mobile Exploration Base, and 60197 the passenger train. 60198 is the cargo train, and 60196 isn't on Brickset at all, so I think it is a special set, not shown straight away, like the coastguard 'Sailboat Rescue' for example.
  6. Is the trailer different? I don't see any differences - the side looks identical, which just how well you did this model. Please can you point out what the trailer differences are. Sorry, just saw the box between the back two pairs of wheels on your model that doesn't exist in the picture. I guess I can tell the difference, then. But what else is different?
  7. Now where's the caboose gone!? Love the side-dump car - shame it doesn't have a dumping function. The other two look good too. How old is the wooden flatcar in the latest video? Also, do you have multiple ones of these cars (except maybe not the caboose)? A long train of them would look really good.
  8. Quoting myself here, as we seem to have come back to it. What you do is get the modular train station from Lego IDEAS(or something of that type): https://ideas.lego.com/projects/879f2041-22ea-4b06-9e34-ed074c4ce83a and have this train tunnel above, done much better, much less crowded, with an actual gap in existence either side of the tunnel. Fit these either side of a block of modular buildings, with the station in the middle, and wow it's amazing it works really well and looks really good. That's just a solution of mine that I haven't actually used, but just seen. I prefer the one seen above, however, as it's BIGGER and BETTER. That one could have modular buildings going along the two long sides, and have a big set of tunnels at the very end, with a level crossing for the road. NOTE: This isn't mine. It belongs to these people: http://www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/414053
  9. Do you think we'd get this too? https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=4035&name=Window 1 x 2 x 3 Train&category=[Window]#T=S&C=5&O={"color":"5","iconly":0} They match, so ....
  10. Dark red is definitely the right colour for the train and coaches, and it would give more variation in your train colours. We've had three bright red trains since 2010, and I don't want another.
  11. I'm more a train fan, but I check this topic regularly to se if there's any news on the Hogwarts Express. I really don't like the previous 2, and I'm hoping for a UCS or D2C Hogwarts Express. That would probably mean I bought the other Harry Potter sets too..... Anyway, I love this set and see some more good sets coming soon after. I find Susan Bones, Faukes and the basilisk rather weird, though. Why is it apparently themed round the second film but has Quirrel?
  12. Might just say that on Lego IDEAS there is a very detailed brown crocodile locomotive that has got more than 480 supporters in the past six or seven days, PF equipped and looking very positive at the moment for reaching the 10K mark. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/899ca545-49a5-4102-aef8-154bb71ac6ea
  13. It may seem a bit boring to you, but I would go all black, all dark grey or all light grey.
  14. Nice! Is it remote control?
  15. I'm not really sure what's happening with the new power functions - Technic 42082 uses the current motor and that's a Summer 2018 set.
  16. Over in the train tech section, some leaked images of this years Lego CITY trains have been found, and they seem to contain Power Functions 2.0. The boxes usually show the IR remote, but this something different. Bluetooth control, possibly? That would make a big difference to Technic too. Apparently this has already been mentioned a few pages back - sorry!
  17. Maybe already mentioned, but the new 60198 is definitely not worth €250.
  18. I kind of meant will the passenger set have 16 curves and 4 straights and the cargo set with 20 curves, 8 straights and 2 points.
  19. The only ideas MOC that I know of related to trains to reach 10,000 supporters was the modular train station created by LegoWolf. It, as everyone knows because it never came on sale, was not approved. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/879f2041-22ea-4b06-9e34-ed074c4ce83a
  20. Do we think the track for the train sets will be the same? The new cargo train seems to have buffers.
  21. If they bring back 7996, they had better change it slightly so that you can operate each switch individually - having two controlled by one switch was an awful idea.
  22. Really nice! Are there Power Functions lights fitted in the front lights?
  23. It's good to see this torso coming back. It was also in the 2010 cargo train set 7939, and the 2011 red cargo train 3677. But I prefer it to the one in 60052 and 60098 that the drivers have, so it is a very good sign of 2018 Lego trains.
  24. Where did you get those stickers? Because I like them and want them! And also, how did you make the beds in the bottom?
