WIP Mini Ferrari Portofino

I wanted to include full independent suspension, with positive caster and MacPherson strut in the front and rear trailing arms, a working front-mid placed 90° v8 engine, working steering wheel + HoG, convertible top, openable hood, doors and trunk. From now on I plan to do the convertible top mechanism and I consider it quite a challenge as I would like it to operate as close to the real thing (google it) and I'll keep you updated as the build progresses. I have worked on the chassis for a while now and this is what I came up with: And yes, I plan to change that background, coloured cardboard doesn't really do the trick, I promise this is the last time you'll see it. -

[MOC] 1963 Corvette C2 Stingray

Here is my 1963 Corvette coupe and convertible. Features: Opening doors and hood Mini V8 engine Pop-up (revolving) headlights Double wishbone semi-independent suspension (from 8081) on the front and semi independent trailing arms with a floating diff' on the rear HOG steering (from 3 different places, depending on which version is built) Folding roof on the convertible. 15x 18944 and 20x 24116 blue curved panels from 42045. I like this one best; top down and bumpers off. Many more pictures on Flickr James Tillson I won't be making a LDD file for this but I will be adding a "how to make" video on Youtube soon. NOTES 1963 Corvette only has one door mirror and the aerial is always up in photos. The original design for the Stingray was the (Bill) Mitchell Corvette from 1958! -
This car MOD was inspired by the flying car named Lola from the Marvel set number 76077. (Iron Man: Detroit Steel Strikes) The color has been changed from red to yellow, though blue, red, and black are possible colors that can be built instead of yellow. I removed the flying car convertible wheels and replaced the printed front grille with actual grille tiles. I also added a licence plate, rear bumper, and side mirrors. The car can seat one mini-figure, and the cabin features opening side doors. LDD file coming for this model as soon as MOCpages is back online. Comments, Question, and Complaints are always welcome!

[EV3] Chopp3Rod - Motorized Hot Rod Convertible

I went retro this time around and decided to build something as big as I could without compromising the look. Chopp3Rod is the result of many hours of work, sporting both an attractive interior and exterior. The wheels are driven by independent direct drive via two Large Motors. A complex program allows the drivetrain to mimic a differential since a real differential was not used. Therefore it has an electronic differential! It sports many details, including a V12 engine, transparent lights, a Color Sensor headlight, comfy seats, clear quarter-panel windows, side exhaust, curvy wheel arches, rear tonneau cover, custom wheel hubs, and more! I am really happy with this model and how it turned out. -
Hello, CC small on Flickr For some time that I wished to build a real convertible. Well, I did not manage to hide a real removable roof in the back, but I am not dissatisfied with the result.
