  1. Cranes Etc. was a good source of info for the EB Technic Triple contest back in 2013.
  2. Welcome aboard, Mikael.
  3. On the other hand, it seems easier to wrap a big-fig hand around a minidoll than a minifig.
  4. I used to use a lot of brown for BoBS builds. I haven't really had much breakage other than a piece or two because of me applying force at the wrong spot with the brick separator.
  5. Technic pieces are also common in Friends sets. They provide functions like working garage doors (open the blast door), ski lift, etc. 13L flex axles even comes in dark pink now.
  6. Will the protocol specifications be released like with the Power Function IR?
  7. That's a baby pile driver. So cute, it could fit in with a Japanese Kawaii display. Definitely one for a MOD and improvement topic. Baby B model won't stop me from buying the RT crane.
  8. If you have lived long enough, you'll notice cycles and patterns. What's old is new again. For me the B model doesn't matter that much. I stopped building the B model after TLG stopping printing the books for the B models.
  9. Congratulations and happy father's day!
  10. Welcome to Eurobricks, LegoHoops.
  11. Welcome back, Nucleur.
  12. Welcome aboard, Henry.
  13. Thanks for sharing. The raised crossover would be awesome for crashes. I don't recall a baby crib before.
  14. Aye, the BoBS Cup tournament is coming to Bastion, assuming Prio doesn't blockade Bastion in the months of August/September. A little hard to have a tournament when the players can't get into port. Maybe we can do a sea water football/soccer tournament as a backup plan. A winner's trophy has been commissioned for the tournament. (Winner will have to provide a mailing address to receive trophy.) Let's Make a Trophy by dr_spock_888, on Flickr
  15. Welcome aboard, Fraunces. Have fun.
  16. Custom building your own if you can. That way you can make the tables fit LEGO base plates perfectly. Also at a height that won't hurt your back.
  17. Minidolls are pretty similar to the small Polly Pockets of the 1990s. They bend at the waist and not the legs too. They came in a pod like those new Friends pod sets. Then Mattel came out with Fashion Polly Pockets that didn't look like Polly Pockets. Like them or not, minidolls helped expand LEGO's reach (revenue) into other market segments. As long as minidolls keep making money, they'll be produced.
  18. Also a good way to reuse those ball joint pieces if they cracked instead of throwing them out.
  19. Depends on how LEGO pure you want to be. It's your hobby and it's really up to you. Unless it is something like a contest with specific LEGO content rules. Cheaper alternatives would be build your own. Micro-controllers, bluetooth modules and motor drivers are really inexpensive from China. For the price of a S-brick, you can make several of your own if you are into that sort of thing.
  20. You can try doing a tracert www.eurobricks.com and see if a router along the way is slowing things down.
  21. Minidolls have their own headgear. They should fit minifig heads without any nosy problems. 41351-20 by DrSpockFriends, on Flickr
  22. Other girl toys like Polly Pocket, Pet Shop, etc. that came out long before LEGO minidolls also don't have moveable legs. The girls just make them hop around when they play with them. I guess it is alien to you guys who don't have daughters.
  23. Thanks for the review. It looks like a fun set.
  24. Thanks for the tear down. Are there antenna traces on the other side of the PCB? What is the range like for you? Are you getting about 5 meters that Sariel(?) got over in the Technics forum?
  25. DK Books is published by Random House. Marvel is published by Hachette. I guess Random House doesn't have the book rights.
