  1. Have to enjoy my manual wagon/estate/variant while it lasts. Where in the world is Spock now? Correct. Thanks.
  2. Can the coffin be a rainbow of colours and pieces with stickers?
  3. It's summer road tripping time. Where in the world is spock? What do you plan to replace it with?
  4. I suppose they could also sell off your LEGO to offset the funeral costs.
  5. Flickr is a better platform for curating your MOCs. Instagram is for likes so post the best shot of your MOC. You could download the best ones off your flickr and upload them to Insta over a period of time to build up a following. I am not on Insta but my LUG is. Our social media coordinator could post my MOCs on Insta if they find them post worthy.
  6. I think big juicy sets reviews would pull in more eyeballs. More views help you to continue to receive sets for reviews. At the end of the day, LEGO probably want to see your metrics reports. Join a LUG. Someone in the LUG would probably buy those small sets for birthday loot bags or is a completist.
  7. Maybe stud.io is somebody's domain name.
  8. A 4x4 turntable works too. May provide a stronger connection over the 2x2 table.
  9. I daily'ed a manual in Toronto traffic for a long time. It's something to keep the mind from going numb. It had an old school throttle cable. I could modulate it like one pedal driving. Foot off the gas and it slowed right down. I hardly used the brakes if I timed the traffic movement correctly. Unlike my new car with a drive-by-wire throttle which wants to keep going at the same speed and I have to brake more. I had to learn manual when I bought a new car. (The manual was $1500 cheaper.) It's good skill to have in case you have to be designated driver for someone's manual. I spec'ed my current car to have minimal fancy electronic features. Convenience can turn into inconvenience when things eventually go wrong. Money not spent on complex system repairs can be allocated towards more LEGO.
  10. Anybody feeling a bit "uneasy" about the future of automobiles? Will we get to a point where what it is, is so far removed from the place it started, that some of us no longer has the same interest in it? For example: no manual (transmission), no care.
  11. Too much work and other life stuff getting in the way of LEGO building like preparing for road trip. (Our AFOL convention is not until November. Plenty of time to panic build GBCs?)
  12. Could canceling the Bricks in the Six hotel room booking and camping out in the Subie free up funding?
  13. LEGO do not pay the RLOC's bills. As an RLOC, they support you with sets for reviews, prizes, etc. On the other hand, not Recognized means you are more free to talk about leaks, leaked images, and do other no-no things that fall under the Recognized condition umbrella.
  14. It is LEGO's program. They can do whatever they want with it. They put time and money into it. I'd think they would want some of value or return on investment from it. At the end of the day if you want to be part of it, then you will have to play well by their new rules.
  15. Older than yellowed white 2x4 bricks. Egads, I've been on EB for over 16 years. Got to be 18 and over to join EB if you want to comply with their site guidelines. Or at least behave very maturely. It got rare in this place after posts here stopped being counted towards your total post count. Some members abusing it for higher ranks ruined it for others.
  16. I guess I should've read the pfx blog update: https://shop.fxbricks.com/blogs/news/new-products-available
  17. 1. Had some basic LEGO in kindergarten. Dark Age until college, secretly bought some sets. Dark Age again until the kids came along. 2. Yes, when the kids were little. Tip: buy them sets you would like to have if they enter the Dark Age. 3. Not really my thing unless I'm creating a standard for a group collab to follow. Providing the group a studio file is helpful to have everyone on the same page. 4. Not applicable. Have reached critical space issues for sets. 5. Missed out on 9V trains but had more realistic HO scale. 6. Not available in Canada yet. I think it is more fun DIYing it with microcontrollers like the ESP32. With DIY, you can be smart and make your battery replaceable. 7. Some times, depends on the mood. 8. Yes. They make it easy to move and setup my GBC modules at events and shows. Line up the baseplates, lock them together, hook up power, and entertain the crowds. 9. Sorting? One of these days, I'll get around to it. 10. Yes.
  18. I think with any new programs or new job openings, you would have to apply to get in. The new programs may have new terms and conditions. If you don't meet the new T&Cs, your application can be rejected. It is no different than meeting the conditions of the Eurobricks site guidelines to be a member of this forum.
  19. Do you access to a 3D printer? https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6689297 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3333595
  20. I would mill it out with a CNC machine or use a Dremel with cutting disc set up like a tiny table saw.
  21. You can also use the 88010 remote with the PoweredUP! App. Have the PU App read the input from the remote and process the output accordingly to the train hub with the motors. Or make an adapter to fool the PU train hub that a PU train motor is connected.
  22. The tram is nice. Candidate for a pantograph or trolley pole mod?
  23. Nice work. I ordered similar modules from AliExpress bundle deals but haven't done anything with them yet. One of these days...
