  1. Practice makes perfect. You can come by my warehouse and help put shipping labels on envelopes and boxes.
  2. They are probably modeling equipment cooling vents on the sides of real life locomotives. Like the grill in front of your car's the radiator.
  3. Funny, the thought of MODing it to a Friends train has crossed my mind. It would go well with my Friends locomotive MOC from a few years ago. I even used the same yellow-orange / bright light orange for the trim.
  4. Thanks for the extra pics.
  5. It seems there are no train doors on the passenger car either. I guess they can use their magic to get in and out. Hope they don't get splinched in the process.
  6. You could throw the pictures up on some place like postimg.org.
  7. $5 for updated graphics. Those box graphic designers may have charged an arm and leg.
  8. This reminds me of the Monster Fighter's Ghost Train a few years back. It had no tracks and couplers (if I recall). It wasn't hard to MOD Ghost Train to PF and magnetic couplers. Large driver wheels would be welcomed for MOCing good old box cab electrics.
  9. I think yellow-orange. There seems to be a slight shade compared with the minifigure's yellow hands.
  10. Welcome aboard, Dorian.
  11. Looks like they're Canadians. I wonder if they are using an ESP8266. It is not too difficult to MOC (my own controller) WIFI with it.
  12. Nice work. The XL motors have enough torque to strip the small bevel gears if the wheels are stalled. I used the same gears for my Techball robot. It wasn't pretty when I had to push another robot. It is likely you'll be spinning your wheels before that happens.
  13. I am not really into steam, so this would not be pleasing. A Creator Expert EMD DDA40X or GE 8500hp gas turbine would be better. Or any unique looking electric.
  14. Wire-wrapping is a quick and cheap option if you're not into soldering. Do-It-Yourself LEGO LED Light by dr_spock_888, on Flickr Depending on the power requirements and availability, I like to use AC to DC adapters. Otherwise, it's rechargeable batteries.
  15. Depending on what you're printing, Avery transparent works pretty good. Multi-Purpose Machine by dr_spock_888, on Flickr Other times, printing on white label paper may work better. Baldwin DR-12-8-1500/2 Centipede by dr_spock_888, on Flickr A Brother p-touch label maker could be used for white text on clear. Day 140 of 365: Train Coupling Danger by dr_spock_888, on Flickr
  16. I'm liking the passenger train. I don't think I need to get two sets like I did with Horizon Express. There are many prototypes with just an engine and two passenger cars on railpictures.net.
  17. I guess we can ask and watch their body language as they answer with "no comment".
  18. Worst case, you can also use the 8293 Technic Power Function Motor Set. It has the AA battery box instead of the smaller AAA box. It'll work but take up more space. The 8293 set also comes with a M-motor.
  19. Neat bi-plane. Does it seat one or two?
  20. Welcome aboard, Pilgrim. Do you watch John Wayne westerns on YouTube?
  21. Will the new unit support IoT? Will there be tools to migrate NXT and EV3 programs to the new Mindstorm programming environment?
  22. Can EV4 be used for Internet of Things projects and builds? When is EV4 coming out?
  23. Welcome aboard, Bublehead. I like to build for playability and solid like IBM Selectric typewriters.
  24. Welcome aboard, xadrian. Do you have a backup plan if you can't get all 62K bricks?
