  1. Those seats really look amazing! too bad they can only work when there is a wall behind the seats...
  2. @nerdsforprez Well said. I agree that buying a product you know has problems and then trying to make profit off it is a bad thing to do. The market is changing, and TLG needs to gets that in their thick skulls.
  3. I think the wheels from one of the newer supercars would be better to get the "modern studless" look than these. I wouldn't use the old shifter, that would be pretty boring. I think upgrading to something more than a 4speed would be a good idea.
  4. Imagine you paid way too much for a product that isn't LEGO, and the product doesn't look or work the way it was advertised, despite the high price tag. What would you do? You ask for a refund, or send it back and ask for a replacement. And how would you react if the seller just sends you an equally same bad product again? You'd be angry, and probably return the product and be done with it. I feel like some of you are measuring TLG with double standards. I think expecting to get a high quality item when paying a premium price is not wrong at all.
  5. Wow, it looks very good, especially for a B-Model! I am happy to see you found another project to keep you busy Driving performance seems to be pretty good as well, I guess apart from the obvious weight savings the removal of the remote gearbox helps with actual performance Nicely done, and I would like to see more B-Models from competitor brand sets! I think this is the 1st one here on EB Technic.
  6. Exactly what I was thinking. For MOC's it it is very bad if TLG always chooses a different weird color like:
  7. @amorti Old version (used here) New version with axle cross (available in crome silver as well tho @Samarth )
  8. At least the #5 and #6 Panel will be available in orange...
  9. No it wouldn't. The older mold Maccaroni Tube pieces don't have an axle cross inside. It is like trying to connect two 1x1 bricks bottom to bottom.
  10. I will not only do instructions for a clean version of this car, but also a clapped out drift missle version, with color mis-matching bodypanels because they had to be replaced after all the small accidents drifters get into on the togue. Something like this: To be able to do this I challenged myself to build the car to follow the lines of the bodypanels on the real car. So now it is theorethically possible to make every single bodypanel a different color, without using stickers! @syclone thank you Funny you spotted that single stud below the taillights. It is not supposed to be the trunk lock, the lock is about 1 stud higher on the real car. I left that stud there to attach some kind of 1x1 plate round, maybe one of these pink "Dots" hearts or something similar. Many Japanese cars have some cute little stickers, decals or cutouts. I like that, it ads some character. Sadly there is no "Broken-Heart" printed heart tile, that would have been perfect
  11. I am not saying it isn't possible, I am saying you can't do it and expect it to look proper. It might be my perception or whatever, but imo the sunk in bodywork created by the curved wheel arched are not present on the real car. Yes, there is a set-back bodyline running across the side of the car, but it is very very shallow on the real car, and shaped nothing like this. Sorry if this sounds very critical, but I just think it looks weird.
  12. Driving performance seems pretty good! But I really dislike the use of the wheel arch panels on this car. You can't just take wheelarches that curve inwards and use them in a flat side! Of course it is going to look weird...
  13. Finally a small Update. I finished the rear Bumper and reworked the taillights. I was not happy with my old taillight design, but I am happy with these: I was unable to close the gaps in the rear bumper completely, but that was to be expected if I curve it. If you have any improvement suggestions I'd be glad to hear them
  14. Very cool, and smooth operation! The PF Battery box and SBrick are only there for the lights I assume?
  15. Why use Spraypaint? They should have just ordered them from from GoBricks.cn: Link I just got another 10 of these guys (Link) just a few hours ago, along with >1kg of brick friends
  16. It looks very nice! One thing that does bother me tho is that there is such a massive gap between the wheels and the wheel arches. I know this is a bus and not a sportscar, so maybe fitment isn't something you care about... If you look at the pic of the real bus you posted the wheels pretty much fill the wheel arches completely. How about using some flex axles inside the wheel arches to reduce the gap and recreate that black wheel arch edge the real bus has? I think that could work as a quick fix without having to redo the bodywork
  17. @aniking Yes almost all of the blue pieces are from GoBricks.cn. A small ammount of pieces I got from Bricklink. Also @OnyyX would you mind embedding your pics instead of posting a link? I don't have an Instagram account, and I bet I am not alone
  18. The ground clearance on the rear axle looks very small, and the rear axle itself looks like it had one too many MCDonald's. Did they try to encase the rear diff with panels? portal wheel hubs would have been very beneficial here, but it seems they went for the new planetary wheel hub instead.
  19. I like the progress so far! One thing I find weird is why you chose to route the steering controls up through the turntable. I would have just put a HoG on the back, like on the LEGO red all terrain crane. I think controlling the steering could get a bit weird if the HoG is mounted on a turning superstructure.
  20. I don't want to nitpick, but isn't this supposed to say "studless" instead of "studded"?
  21. Amazon.de does offer the 911 right now, so I think it is save to say it'll be available on Amazon US as well.
  22. I think some of the propeller's performance suffered from not being fully submerged. Still, interesting comparison.
  23. @msk6003 I don't think the idea is all that interesting right now. We just had a car focused contest, and I think people like some variety. Also, the "Concept car rule" would work to undermine the "fantasy car" idea. The Lamborghini Egoista is just one of many concept cars that have been featured in games. Many Supercar Companies make concept cars that would be allowed, more than one might think.
