  1. Wow, that is beautiful.
  2. @Blondie-Wan that's interesting reading your last post. The rules are pretty complex I reckon so thanks for clarifying some of the those. Does that mean for example that if somebody submitted a model based on something out of Ghostbusters that it wouldn't even be accepted on to the site?
  3. Thank you very much for that. I like the look of this one and have been watching it eagerly over the last couple of days. It looks a fun model and I like the way the designer has presented his images of the model. The one thing I can think of that might stand in the way of this model is that it could be considered as clashing with Speed Champions sets, not sure if that would be an issue or not.
  4. Thanks a lot, and thanks for supporting it.
  5. Thanks. ? It all came about through reddit. Last week I posted my model on there but rather than putting it in the usual Lego subreddits, I tried a different approach and posted it in the one for Leicester, my home city, in the hope it might drum up some local support. It was from there that it caught the attention of the radio station, and they sent me a message asking if I wanted to do the interview about it. Thank you. I did the interview earlier today. It was good fun and a great experience. I'm a bit disappointed though that it doesn't seem to have given me much extra support yet. Obviously it's quite difficult to verbally give people a Web address over the radio, so they had told me they'd run a feature about it on their website containing a link and all the details on how to vote. So far they still haven't done this though, so that means a lot of the listeners would have no idea how to find my project, let alone support it. Thanks. It's this one, The Old Workhorse - Traction Engine. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/2a2ec583-9836-4868-8dc7-6b3bb0a2fe80
  6. Still can hardly believe I'm doing this but, BBC Radio Leicester in the UK have invited me to do a LIVE radio interview about my Lego Ideas project tomorrow morning. I am exited but pretty nervous as I've never done anything like this before. Still I feel very lucky I've been given the chance to promote my project in this way.
  7. @Kalais Your Ship in a Bottle animation is fantastic!
  8. My Lego Ideas project has now passed the 1000 supporters milestone. Thank you so much to everyone who has voted for it, I'm very grateful. If you like the model please continue to vote and share it with anyone else you think might be interested. Thanks a lot guys! https://ideas.lego.com/projects/2a2ec583-9836-4868-8dc7-6b3bb0a2fe80
  9. Just fantastic. I really love this building in particular. I really love the colours you've used on this one and all the details like the dogs above the door. Great work!
  10. Just spotted this on the homepage. Wow! "A humble 0-8-0T"... This is anything but "humble", it's absolutely incredible. The amount of detail you've included is breathtaking. As well as all the exterior details, I really love the cab interior. An amazing, brilliant MOC.
  11. It does say 20,000 parts on the ideas page but I believe he means there are 20,000 parts/components that make up a real jet engine. Not the amount of lego parts included with his model.
  12. I agree. I personally don't think they'll pick one of the space based sets, especially whilst Saturn V is still on the shelves. I could imagine this being produced as a retail set though.
  13. The Rolls Royce jet engine has now reached 10,000 votes. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/f18a11c6-f704-4827-b06a-fba84e5818df
  14. Yes you're right. But what a set that would be.
  15. Didn't realise at first glance that this was micro scale. That's the only thing that puts me off the set. It looks like a fantastic model but would have preferred a minifig scale set.
  16. That is a stunner. Love the bridge with the water running underneath. I have been trying to figure out a way of building a modular that incudes a small bridge and water running beneath, but still being compatible with existing modular buildings. Not sure it would be possible without raising the height of the pavement though which would stop it from connecting properly to the other modulars. I'm working on it though!
  17. Supported! I do like your Lego vehicles, they have a lot of character and the brick built doors are a neat touch too. The New York Taxi you've got on Lego Ideas is great too.
  18. Great reading this 6380 was one of my first ever large Lego sets when I was a kid. A true classic.
  19. I've created this new image of my Post Office MOC using a different rendering method which gives a more realistic result in my opinion. Also included in the image is my Lego Ideas project The Old Workhorse - Traction Engine.
  20. Fantastic and instantly recognisable as Winterfell. Some of your close up shots remind me very much of how Winterfell (and all the other locations) look on the animated titled sequence on GoT.
  21. That's true I guess. If they took away all reference to M&M's then that would kind of kill the whole point of why the designer created the mode in the first place.
  22. @Digger of Bricks Thanks so much for mentioning my model.
  23. I'm sure this one has probably been mentioned on here before but I wanted to post this masterpiece by FlagsNZ https://ideas.lego.com/projects/3e109877-243f-4a25-b9ad-96aa7d87ca6e/comments_tab#content_nav_tabs Love this model and there is some clever parts usage going on. I was especially impressed with how the tiny cabin windows have been created. 1x2 grill tile pieces positioned end on to create the texture of the windows, very clever. Surely this thing has got what it takes to reach 10,000.
  24. I voted for this project a couple of weeks ago so I'm pleased to see it reach 10,000, big congrats to the designers. I can see where people are coming from with the comments about children perhaps accidentally swallowing Lego bricks. I don't think it would encourage kids to eat Lego though any more than existing sets with food elements in them do. If this was released it would probably have a 8+ age rating on it anyway so most kids of that age would know better than to put Lego in their mouths. As for this needing to be licensed by M&M's. They certainly look like M&M's on the photos but in the UK we also have "Smarties" and other similar brands of candy that would all work equally well in this model. So I think this could be sold as a generic candy machine rather than exclusively M&M's.
  25. I really like it. The black and gold detailing look very nice and the red flowers above really stand out. I also like the stripey colours on the walls of the upper floor. I think this injects a nice bit of colour. The overall shaping of the building is very nice and the dome on the roof looks good. Also the interior is great, especially he mahcine turning the green liquid in to gold. I wouldn't know where to start designing an Art Nouveau building and I think you've done a really good job of capturing the style. The renders are top notch too.
