Hi everyone I'd like to present my latest MOC, a new modular building called Bricks & Blooms. I hope you like it. Bricks & Blooms is a modular Garden Centre built over 3 levels on a 32 x 32 base plate. in total it uses 2587 bricks. The facade is supposed to give the impression of being 2 buildings side by side but it is of course just one single building. The front to back measurement of the building is quite narrow, similar to Parisian restaurant. This is because I wanted to maintain plenty of space at the rear of the building for the main outside garden centre / plant sale area. THE MINIFIGURES I've included 6 mini figs and a cat with this MOC. Left to right they are: 2 customers (a father and his daughter), The garden centre shop keeper and gardener, the chef and the Aquatics shop assistant. THE GARDEN CENTRE AND GROUND LEVEL DETAILS The main garden centre area of the store is situated on the ground level. Outside on the street, I've included a tree, bench and lots of plants and flowers for sale. The garden centre also has a fruit and veg stall that sells it's produce directly to passers by on the street. Inside the shop I've included the cashier desk and more plants and gardening tools for sale including a little lawn mower side-build. Here is the interior of the fruit and veg stall that is accessed through a door at the back of the cashier desk. A door at the back of the shop leads out in to the main outdoor gardening area. Here I've included a large glass canopy covering rows of tables holding bedding plants. There are also more flowers, pots and other gardening products including a water feature. The stairs at the back of the building lead up to level 2. LEVEL 2 - CAFE/RESTAURANT No garden centre would be complete without its own cafe/restaurant. The cafe on level 2 has a fully equipped kitchen with serving desk and tables and chairs for the minifigs. There is also a small balcony in the cafe that looks out on to the street below. LEVEL 3 - AQUATICS Many garden centres here in the UK also have departments that specialise in pet fish and Aquatics. Bricks & Blooms is no exception and has it's own dedicated Aquatics section on level 3. The Cat below seems to have its eye on the goldfish. The door behind the desk leads out on to a small roof terrace area. FLOWER CART The model also includes a flower cart. Hello fellow EB members Here I have made a Tearoom which has been converted from a former signal box and railway carriage still moored at the station platform. A flimsy excuse to make a railway carriage which has been on my to do list for quite some time. Tearooms and very popular and common in the UK and you can get more than just tea! Cafe CoCo. A European inspired corner building with a Cafe and apartments above. I thought I'd try and build something smaller and I'd be done quicker - how wrong I was! Gave me an excuse to have another go at a window technique I'd not used for a few years along with a different themed roof. As usual they can also be found on my Flickr page here Regards!

Hi everyone I'd like to present my latest MOC, and the follow up to my previous Modular, "The Queen Bricktoria Pub". This time I've designed another British style building, a Post Office, set some time during the late 1950's. There is much more to it than just a Post Office though. Read on to find out more... As you can see this modular building has 3 floors and is built on a 32 x 32 base plate. I have designed it to appear as 2 separate buildings situated around a small town square. The post office is intended to be the main focus of the model but the building on the right also contains a fish & chip shop and other businesses. The Minifigures I've included 6 minifigs with this MOC. From left to right they are: Post Office Worker, Post Office Manager, The Postman, Chip Shop Owner, Cafe Barista and a Business man. Brick Square and Ground Level Details Both the buildings are arranged around "Brick Square". I've included a small flowering tree in the centre of the square and outside the post office there is a pillar box, bench, rubbish bin and flower pots. Outside the fish and chip shop is a table with parasol. The Pillar box is a simple build made up from 2x2 round bricks, plates and tiles, stacked up and held together with a technic axle running through the middle. The shaped slot section towards the top is made from a red wheel flipped on its side. Sandwiched between both buildings is a shared stairwell which can be accessed from the street. This is how the minifigs access the upper floors. The Post Office The pictures below show the interior of the post office. Mail Sorting Office On the floor above the post office is the room where all the mail gets sorted, ready to be sent out. This room is accessed via the stair well outside the post office. Fish & Chip Shop Another iconic British building - a fish and Chip Shop. The shop sells chips, battered fish, burgers, sausages and drinks. Coffee Shop Above the Fish & Ship Shop is a little cafe with a coffee machine, cake stand, table and seat. In the corner of the cafe is a stair case leading up to the top floor. Office Above the cafe is an office used by a local businessman. I've included a desk with drawers, telephone and paperwork. There is also a grandfather clock and plant pots. Mail Van I have also included a vehicle with this MOC, a vintage style Mail van. When this set was on Black Friday sales a few years ago a lot of people created their own modular versions of these sets. So here are mine... I decided to do a cafe, of course, and a florist instead of a bike shop. One of the alternate buildings in the instructions was something resembling a florist, so I thought I'd go another way instead of another bike shop. I really liked the dark red and black color scheme since it is not seen too often. For many years I've been a fan of doozy models and have a bunch of them pinned on my Pinterest account! And finally I was able to build one of them: the little charming European Café Shop! Managed to put a lot of details and tried a few techniques that I had in mind for a while but also some new stuff! What’s your favourite detail? Mine is definitely the small chair and the lamps! A little urban renewal to transition the Detective Office part of town with the more classy modulars... my latest modular is "Chop", a small Asian fusion bistro in an Art Deco storefront. Oddly enough, I've wanted to use fish as an architectural element for a long time. 1st floor interior: Decorative wall panels. 2nd and 3rd floor feature a nice but somewhat cramped 2 bedroom aparment. Hi All, It's been awhile i wish to MOC one modular cafe out from Lego bricks. At the end, i choose to moc a famous cafe chain, Starbucks cafe. A lot of studied and reference has been done to come out with this MOC. I did include the little Starbucks barista in my moc too. Hope everyone will like it and feel free to comment. Cheers. Apartment and Coffee Shop MOC by TopperTwist, on Flickr Hello all, this is my first MOC posted on Eurobricks! The exterior of the building is quite simple, and was inspired by old buildings around New York City. Minor SNOT techniques throughout, with the use of dark red as an accent and dark tan as the main color for the rest of the building. The bottom is a hipsteresque coffee shop, and the top two floors are an apartment. Exterior- Back by TopperTwist, on Flickr The back of the building (intentionally) looks dilapidated. Some texture details with exposed "pipes" and overgrown foliage. First Floor Interior by TopperTwist, on Flickr The interior of the coffeshop features a large main counter, with a whole row of flavor pumps beneath the windows. Other details include a coffee maker and decorative gas pump (from the Town Plan) and some paintings. Second Floor by TopperTwist, on Flickr The first floor of the apartment! My favorite part, for sure. Includes an open-concept kitchen, dining area, and living room. More details can be seen on Flickr, as well. Third Floor by TopperTwist, on Flickr The top level is the bedroom and bathroom. Bathroom is in the bottom left corner. There is also a large rug on the floor, and some furniture details. The painting above the bed was inspired by another Eurobricks user whose building skills I really admire, Kristel. She used a similar style painting in her beautiful Sand Blue Townhouse! Hi! This is my very first post, so I think I should give a short introduction to myself. When I was a kid I used to be a huge Lego lover and builder, but afterwards I haven't almost touched a brick for almost 20 years. Just recently the passion came back thanks to the modular buildings... I really love those models! I want to present here my very first MOC, the Comptoir Florian. The name come from my favorite tea house, located in Bruxelles (Rue Saint-Boniface 17) that I used as inspiration. Most of the bricks come from the Palace Cinema (10232) and the rest are parts I found in the brick wall in the nearest Lego Store... that's why sometime I was a bit too limited with the colors available. It's a half-size modular building composed by two floors: the ground one with the bar and the second one with the tea room. Here is the front view: And the back view: Detail of the entrance: Ground floor with the entrance, the bar, the stairs to the second floor and the door on the back side: From the back side: Detail of the bar, with a samovar, the tea boxes on the shelves and a chinese umbrella as decoration: Under the stair there is a small room used to store stuff: Back side, with a rubbish bin and some flowers: View of the first floor: Details with the fire place... I love the lamps hanging over the tables and the stairs :) : In the other corner there is a bookshelf with some books for the customers. On the walls there are a few modern paintings: The stairs with the lamps again: And now the top level with the facade and the roof: On the back there is a terrace with some flowers: So, what do you think? I would like to find some space for a small toilet (maybe in the room under the stairs) and a stair to access the top terrace.

I really like the modular buildings, which makes LEGO company. Each new official LEGO modular building is not similar to the previous one. Each new set is an interesting building, which occupies a large part of the standard base plate 32*32. Pedestrians, in turn, have to huddle on a narrow strip of sidewalk. In such a small space it is difficult to create something interesting from the life of minifigures. I want to propose to build a long pedestrian street which there is in every city. The most interesting is always happening on a pedestrian streets: street performers, musicians, artists, street cafes with the cheerful companies and so on. My project is fully compatible with the official Lego modular buildings. If you make several similar sets, you can create a long pedestrian street where you will be able to create all sorts of interesting stories and situation with your minifigures. This is a very exciting and interesting! My project is the begin of walking street. In the buildings there are a jewelry store with a jeweler's office, a hostel, a souvenir shop and a small cafe. I think the pictures will tell you about my project more than I can write.

I built this little diner to fit into my Modular town. It occupies a single base plate and can serve as an end cap to a row of buildings, but has facades on three sides. To date, this is one of my favorite builds. A little close-up of the marquee: Ground level view of the restaurant: A little profile shot: And then the top came off! Plenty of seating inside: Hamburger, fries, milkshake, or a fresh slice of pie today? The staff is always friendly and helpful. There's always a hoppin' tune playing on the jukebox. Previously I made a MOC modular building, a bank, which has a piece of land on its side waiting for construction. It was to be a restaurant and finally it is done! It is not a big one as it only takes half of the 32x32 plate, but it contains what all the Lego citizens' needs for food! This building is a break from the typical European style that prevails in the original Lego modular building sets. I think a city should be developing, advancing, and things change including building styles. I tried some new elements here, with a more open façade (basically removing the façade for balconies and setting back the entrance), while taking a cleaner approach on detailing. Quick overview with the bank on its side: Let's go inside now! The entrance on the G/F floor is set back a little for a bar area. This is where people gather at night especially on Fridays! I also try sliding doors for the entrance :) At the entrance, you will see a little fridge next to a green counter. On the other side is a cake rack. In the morning, there will be breads for those who want to grab a quick breakfast. 1/F is a restaurant. Utensils are stored neatly. Someone is celebrating her birthday with friends! Well that's a huge cake! The other half of 1/F is a balcony area for semi-open dining experience. Looks like someone is not pleased when serving a rich man... "Hey that's not the tips I am hoping for..." The top floor is also a restaurant area, with an open grill kitchen. Look at the hood! Now an overview with some of my modular buildings, which are easy to recognize. The building style is a little different but still, to me, harmonious with the others. Hope you all like this creation!
