  1. Hi everyone. It's ages since I've posted a new MOC here on Eurobricks but I wanted to share my latest creation, a coastal scene called "Fun at the Seaside". The model is inspired by my memories of family holiday at the seaside and depicts a nostalgic and vibrant beach scene, with the main focal point being a large Victorian Pier. The pier itself is packed full of details including a functional Ferris Wheel, some arcade machines, an ice cream shop and a hotdog stand. At the head of the pier is a traditional bandstand complete with a brass band and there is also a spot for fishing from the end of the pier. A series of steps lead down from the pier and on to the beach. I've included a couple of beach huts which can be removed from the model to give easy access to their interiors. There are lots of details and little stories happening on the beach. These include a couple having their picnic ruined by a mob of hungry seagulls and a boy (based on my own son) building sand castles. There is also a minifigure being buried in the sand. I have fond memories of doing this to my Dad when I was a kid, so this minifigure is based on my Dad. On the opposite side of the beach are some tidal rock pools that the children can explore with their nets. Nestled in the cliff face is the entrance to a mysterious sea cave. The cave interior can be accessed from the back of the model. Thanks very much for checking out my latest design. I hope you like it. I've decided to give this one a shot on LEGO Ideas so any votes of support would be greatly appreciated. https://beta.ideas.lego.com/product-ideas/9b032038-cfc4-489a-84a9-44f10e80823e Thank you very much!
  2. I'm mega excited to share my model has been approved to become a future LEGO IDEAS set. Thanks very much indeed to anyone who supported the model. Can't wait to see how the final set turns out.
  3. Hey, thanks a lot. I agree about the top of the pillar box being a bit big. that is something I may re-visit in a future update at some point. Thanks a lot for supporting this. I'm hoping if it can reach 10K then it may stand a better chance of being accepted than some of my previous Ideas submissions.
  4. Hi everyone It's been a while since I've posted any new MOC's on Eurobricks but I wanted to show the latest project I've been working on called "Red London Telephone Box". In the past I've included miinifig scale phone box's in a couple of my other MOCs, which gave me the idea of building a much more detailed, large scale model of this British cultural icon. Although the red phone box can be found throughout the UK my model is based on an early version of the phone box called the "K2" which was designed specifically for use in London. As well as the phone box itself I've also included a red British pillar box and a street lamp complete with hanging flower baskets and plant pots. The front door can be opened to reveal a vintage telephone and detailed interior. LEGO IDEAS Thanks for checking out my latest MOC and I hope you like it. Whilst designing this I felt that it would make a pretty good submission for LEGO IDEAS. If you'd like to read more about the model or give it your support on LEGO IDEAS then I'd be very grateful. https://bit.ly/legotelephonebox Thank you very much.
  5. Hi everyone, there are just a few hours left to cast your votes in the LEGO IDEAS "Do You Want To Go To The Seaside" contest. If you've not voted already I'd be very grateful if you could check out my entry and give it your vote if you like it. The model is called Seaside Memories and is inspired by my childhood trips to the seaside. https://bit.ly/Legoseaside
  6. Glad you like it. Thanks a lot. The minifigs will be having an even happier time by tomorrow if this one gets the most votes and wins the contest.
  7. Thanks very much, I'm glad you like it. Yes these kind of traditional beach huts seem to have had a resurgence in popularity over the last few years and apparently there is a waiting list for people desperate to buy them. They certainly do have a lot of charm and character. Anyway thanks a lot, I'm glad you like the model.
  8. Hi everyone I wanted to share my latest creation called "Seaside Memories". It's a little beach scene inspired by my childhood holidays at the British Seaside. The model contains less than 250 bricks and is built on a 16 x 16 plate. I've included 2 traditional beach huts and striped deck chairs, sandcastles, a picnic on the sand and much more. Everything you need for a fun day out at the beach. The beach huts both feature simple interiors details. I entered this model in to a recent LEGO IDEAS contest to design a seaside themed set. I'm really pleased to say that today it has been chosen as one of the 15 finalists in the contest. It's now down to a public vote to decide the winner and if this model wins it will be made in to a future gift with purchase LEGO set. If you like the look of the model then I'd be hugely grateful if you could give it your vote on LEGO IDEAS. Voting is open until 25th May. https://bit.ly/Legoseaside Anyway thanks for checking out my latest MOC and feel free to let me know what you think.
  9. Thanks. Yes it took just 38 days.
  10. Thanks very much. I'm over the moon it's reached 10K so quickly. And thanks to everyone here on EB who voted for the project on Ideas. I'm really grateful.
  11. I just stumbled on the pics on Instagram earlier today.
  12. Leaks of the new creator Ferris Wheel and Space shuttle are now online. They look pretty good, especially the shuttle. One of the alternate builds of the ferris wheel looks as if it is a fairground dodgem car ride. Can't make out what the third build is.
  13. Thanks a lot for supporting it on Ideas. Thanks very much. I was really pleased it made it to 5K so quickly. Actually it's almost at 6000 now. Thanks. I have thought about designing a railway station before. Maybe that will be my next project.
