  1. My current RR station's / towns are named as such - buildings are shared between most of them, so they are all interchangeable: Lego City (art-deco terminal station for use with my local LUG's train shows) Amber (Toy Story / Western / rural town - Named as such because the town is frozen in time. Also the setting for my version of "Woody's Roundup" TV show) Legoredo (Western theme - another station on the same line as Amber, but closer / named after the to the U.S. Army fort of the same name.) River Bend (Disneyland RR station inspired, so 1890's - 1930's town)
  2. According to Rebrickable inventory of the set, sand green.
  3. Mission was scrubbed for today. Cause unknown at this time. Really cool MOC, by the way!
  4. In addition to the manor house, I'm also working on a black one of set 40448 - Vintage Car (from Ideas) for Emmet and Lucy to drive around in. I HATE those loose-fitting surfboards on the sides, so I've created a workaround. Some other things have been changed in certain places (I'm looking at you, front bumper!) and those eight 1x1 double curved slopes have been replaced with the new 1x4 version for added strength. I originally wanted to do the car in red, but the wheel arches are sadly stupid expensive in regular red. Blue was also an option, until I learned one of the 1x1 brackets needed are not available in that color yet. Thus, black was my only remaining choice. I sadly can't do a more completed version of this model outside of real life, as about 12 parts are missing from the LDD program. However: the model has been ordered, so real world pictures will be here soon! (Until then, here is a picture of the actual set 40448 to give you an impression of what's missing.
  5. Good ideas @Guyinaplaguemask! I'll see what I can do, but I make no promises on whether it will work out in the end. The inside details for Emmet's house, as they stand right now IRL. Most of the pieces of furniture are missing a few parts.
  6. I vote Purple, as we NEED purple air-tanks and helmets. My runner-up vote is teal. (Once again, teal plays second fiddle to purple. But, thankfully, the stakes aren't as high as they were last time...) Great MOC, by the way!
  7. As of today, I've got 593 parts found, with only 436 more parts to find before construction can begin on Emmet and Lucy's home. ...I'm gonna need a bigger bin to store all these parts! Also, @Guyinaplaguemask the cabinet you are talking about is a smaller version of the Vanishing Cabinet from the 2010-11 Harry Potter theme. (I shortened it by a bit in height and changed the hinges.) The AC / heating stuff for the attic is still being decided. (I'm not really sure how to pull it off, to be honest.)
  8. If they EVER release Cruella, I feel it would be best to include her car at some point later in Speed Champions. Removable "Battle damage" would be great play feature, knowing LEGO. It shouldn't be that hard to do, as we got the James Bond DB5 and the F&F Charger just this Summer...
  9. and AT-AT's were also (probably) based off Tolkien's description of the Oliphants from The Lord of The Rings. Which I'll bet came full circle when the Return of the King film was being made. You can't tell me they all don't influence each other!
  10. Damn... That just killed my mood.
  11. "In Soviet Russia, marshmallows roast you."
  12. @Guyinaplaguemask, here is all the furniture for the house. ...although it seems a Duplo creature has snuck in here somewhere! But don't worry, Unikitty can take care of it.
  13. I like your idea of more furniture, and so I added some more to my digital file and parts list. Attic details (boxes, bins, etc.) are also on the list. I might add a tiny Duplo monster up there too... I'm not going to tile the floors, though... I have never really done that, and if I did, it wouldn't match the rest of my buildings. (pretend it's carpeting or something) Sorry @Guyinaplaguemask!
  14. Don't forget about Harbro / Tomy have a partnership with LEGO over Transformers, and Mattel wouldn't want to be left out in the cold with a similar deal. But who knows? All past bets could be off on this one... As someone who bought a Duplo engine at age 12 because it was a steamer and Lego hadn't released a proper one yet, I agree it was a missed opportunity. But maybe the contract said "only duplo"? Only LEGO would know that answer, and they aren't talking.
  15. Congrats to @KaijuBuildz on Thomas the Tank engine making 10,000 votes yesterday!
  16. Not trying to derail the discussion on Hogwarts Express, but a certain train project has finally made 10,000 votes on ideas. Thomas the Tank engine by @KaijuBuildz has made it this far and I'm really trying to hold out hope for the "Review Stage" minefield to come. No train has yet passed through it.. will Thomas succeed where so many before him have failed? I sincerely hope so: after all, little engines can do big things! I also invite everyone to check out his Flickr for the other engine's he's designed, such as Toby, Percy, Lady and Diesel 10!
  17. Following the events of The LEGO Movie 2, and using the proceeds of his and Lucy's film careers, Emmet got to work on building Lucy and himself their dreamhouse again. They made it a little bigger, a little better, and a lot stronger... just in case of any future Duplo attacks. It also features an attic for extra storage space. Unikitty lives in the house too, and has made the unused attic space her personal play-place. The MOC's color scheme was heavily inspired by set 70831 - Emmet's Dream House/Rescue Rocket. The building itself (not the furniture) was originally inspired by this Rebrickable MOC by user MIJbricks. The rear of the house features a chimney flue. The model also opens up like a dollhouse up to 90 degrees, and locks shut on a technic pin. On the front half's lower level is the living room, with record player, writing desk and couch. Upstairs is the bed, lamp, and a huge cabinet. The attic is Unikitty's play-place. (She seems really happy to see you!) In the rear half (lower level) is the kitchen table and fireplace. Upstairs is a vanity and Planty. Pictures of Emmet and Lucy are on the wall as well. Alas, it seems the house already has a Duplo infestation... In addition to the manor house, I'm also got a black version of set 40448 - Vintage Car (from Ideas) for Emmet and Lucy to drive around in. I absolutely HATED those loose-fitting surfboards on the sides, so I've created a easy workaround. Some other things have been changed in certain places, such as those eight 1x1 double curved slopes have been replaced with the new 1x4 version for added strength. I originally wanted to do the car in red, but the wheel arches are sadly stupid expensive in regular red. Blue was also an option, until I learned one of the 1x1 brackets needed are not available in that color yet. Thus, black was my only remaining choice. Thoughts? EDIT 9/14/22: real life pictures added, and text updated.
  18. Don't give TLG any ideas!
  19. I would also add that, since we are in the middle of our own pandemic, doing a set based on something VERY similar as @LegendaryArticuno suggests from medieval times would also be a PR disaster on a epic scale.
  20. ...and it would give us another Harrison Ford figure. So there's that. Personally, my list is: - BTTF 3 DeLorean (train track compatible PLEASE!) - The two American Graffiti cars - "Goldfinger" Rolls Royce Phantom MK III (needs two figures though: Oddjob and Auric Goldfinger are both must-haves) - James Bond's Lotus Esprit (with extra parts to make into a sub) from "The Spy who loved Me" - "Wacky Races" cars from the old 1960's cartoon series (this could be a sub-series, as there are about 8 racers usually)
  21. I wanna see somebody reskin the Hogwarts Express loco into GWR-accurate dark green instead of red, if it's even possible. Heck, BR black with red trim might be interesting too.
  22. I wonder if the Morbius set would have a sound brick for his catchphrase. It would sell a Morbillion copies for that alone.
  23. The following models are all modified versions of the original 1967 anime and (begrudgingly) the 2008 film, while the figs are customized and updated versions of the ones from the Lego theme: The Mach 5 (Speed Racer's car) This is half of set 8158 (Speed Racer & Snake Oiler) from the 2008 Speed Racer movie line. I tried to make the Mach 5 more accurate to the original late 1960's cartoon without using stickers. This includes some new (to the model) cartoon-accurate features: detachable sawblades and jump-jacks! (Sadly, neither of them fold away as in the cartoon... they just come off when not needed. Also, the cross-brace on the sawblades is to keep them from flopping around.) These extra features are not on my car as-ordered, but can be added easily in the future. The Shooting Star (Racer X's car) Here is a mod of half of BOTH set 8159 (Racer X & Taejo Togokhan) and 8160 (Cruncher Block & Racer X) from the 2008 Speed Racer movie line, as the car is oddly identical across both sets. I tried to make Racers X's car, the Shooting Star, more accurate to the original 1960's cartoon without using stickers, but this required heavy modifications, such as adding double headlights, exhaust pipe tips, taillights, printed side numbers (9), and smoothing out missing parts of bodywork using parts that weren't available to designers in 2008. The Mammoth Car (Cruncher Block's mobile HQ) It looks like a ordinary semi truck. But it's not! It's the mobile headquarters of notorious criminal Cruncher Block. This is a heavy mod of Jurassic World set 76948 (T. rex & Atrociraptor Dinosaur Breakout), restyled to be like the Mammoth Car from set 8160 (Cruncher Block and Racer X) from the 2008 Speed Racer movie line. I changed around a whole truckload of stuff with this build, so I'm not going to mention everything I did. The brand new trailer has a removable roof to access the inside details. Cruncher Block's mobile office from the 2008 movie - complete with piranha tank, desk, and weapons storage. I have good reasons for doing in the film style, though, as the original 1960's anime the Mammoth car was mostly empty inside, so it would look like an ordinary semi truck otherwise. The Brick Breaker (Rocket Racer's car) Now, I know what you're thinking: "He wasn't in Speed Racer at all! What gives?" Well; he was in the much beloved LEGO Racer videogame franchise, he is a race car driver, and has the word 'Racer' in his name. Thus, he belongs in my Speed Racer collection. This model is a total redesign of half of set 8898 (Wreckage Road) from the World Racers theme. I removed all the weapons and play features, redid the color scheme in a major way, added headlights and ID number tiles (1) to the car, plus I added the Rocket Racer figure from the Stuntz theme to the drivers seat. The Stars of the Show / Film I drew inspiration for these six (currently five and a half) figures from the original 1967 anime and the failed 2008 movie. As you can see, some parts are still missing, such as Racer X's black visor and Trixie's torso. (I have the legs I'm gonna use already pulled out and placed just out of frame) I also still need to re-design Taejo's car at some point, because the one Lego came out with officially is the weakest of the bunch IMO. Progress on the models / final thoughts (Sorry the photo is bad, I tried IRL to make it bright and failed, so I had to do so digitally. Some colors are washed out as a result.) The one in the digital background is the Shooting Star and what parts have yet to be found in my own collection or bought are featured on the screen. The real world model in the foreground is the Mach 5 which is awaiting one order to arrive to be finished. Pictures will be added once it's done. Thoughts?
  24. If it's not mico-scale, or minifigure scale, it must be a quantum scale version of the ship from the Antman and the Wasp set. $500 for a set you can't even see or be sure you've got it in your hands / dropped it. It's the perfect business strategy - a $500 box of air!
