  1. What is the sound of one hand clapping? How about it's smell? If a tree falls in a forest, and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound? If a tree hits a singing lumberjack, would be still be okay? Is there anybody out there? Will you still need me, will you still feed me, When I'm 64? If the speed of light is 299,792,458 meters per second, what is the speed of dark? Which came first the chicken, egg, or the Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant? What is the name of The Doctor?
  2. Is it possible to put each number in alphabetical order? As in One would be under "O", and Two would be under "T"... What would happen if someone ate a piece of Pi? As in how much could you eat of said Pi and still have room to eat a wafer-thin after dinner mint? What is at the other side of Black Hole? When exactly is the time described in the phrase 'day after the End of Time?" What happened to cause the Big Bang? What does "M" in "M Theory" (Quantum Mechanics / String theory ) really stand for? When do the cows come home? In which county / town / city did the devil land at in the song "The Devil went down to Georgia" How many angels / demons can dance on the head of a pin?
  3. You mean like this? i made these back in August of 2014. Here's the LDD file: http://www.mocpages.com/user_images/80135/1409666462m.lxf
  4. Actually, that's supposed to be trans red. Sorry for the color mix-up and thanks for commenting!
  5. This idea is spun off from another thread, as there was the seed that got me started on this: http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=112920 I think Blacktron 3's color scheme could be something like this: black, trans-black cockpits, bluish grays and lime, with yellow and black bumblebee stripes. Blacktron split off from Classic Space, so why couldn't they take some parts of classic space technology / ideas with them? Anyway, here are my Benny's ssS! version in Blacktron III colors. I figured this would be the easiest color change for Benny's SSS. When built in real life, this part should be where the classic space logo used to go on the nose: http://alpha.brickli...858p01#T=C&C=11 With the crew areas visible. I took the liberty of removing the SpaceKitty seat and both of the repair bots. Rear view, and the ldd file for the cruiser: http://www.mocpages....1438719213m.lxf and here is a fighter, one of millions in the BT3 fleet. This fighter was made from the LEGO Universe Classic Space rocket. it does not separate into sections anymore, and features this print on the nose: rear view. LDD file for the fighter: http://www.mocpages....1438719540m.lxf The figures are as follows: Leader / commander: http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?M=col038#T=S&O={"ii":1} Robot helper: http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?M=col166#T=S&O={"ii":1} soldier (suit only): http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?M=sp110#T=S&O={"ii":1} (all figure pictures from Bricklink)
  6. okay, here is my idea of Blacktron III with Benny's ssS! I figured this would be the easiest color change for Benny's SSS. When built in real life, this part should be where the classic space logo used to go on the nose: http://alpha.brickli...858p01#T=C&C=11
  7. I think Blacktron 3's color scheme could be something like this: black, trans-black cockpits, bluish grays and lime, with yellow and black bumblebee stripes. Blacktron split off from Classic Space, so why couldn't they take some parts of classic space technology / ideas with them? I'll upload a Benny ssS! in concept Blacktron 3 colors in a couple minutes!
  8. I agree with your guidelines 100%, and if i owned any Blacktron (I or II, or maybe a mashup of the good parts of each as III) that's how I would customize it.
  9. Thanks, and I just realized how much my concept of Analog and Codebreaker with the corrupt Space Police looks like Knight Rider mixed with the Dukes of Hazzard with maybe some Blade Runner thrown in for good measure. (I don't know, haven't seen the film... yet) Here's a pic of Codebreaker and Analog fighting with a Space Police IV patrol car: Here we see the most infamous (or famous, depending on who you're rooting for) "criminal" on the SP IV "detain on sight list": the duo of techno-mage Analog and his hovercar Codebreaker. They are seen here fleeing a blockade of a planet thought to be secretly in cahoots with a rebel cell. The space police are chasing the two blockade runners, all the while leaving the door wide open for the rebel cell to evacuate. By the time the two outrun the chasing force, the planet's cell will be completely gone, and any remaining evidence of them being their in the first place will have been destroyed. Another victory for Analog & Codebreaker!
  10. Before reading, PLEASE NOTE: These vehicles are just the super secret police vehicles from the LEGO Movie, re-branded to tell the story of SP IV. Also, my brother helped me a bit with the story writing, specifically the part about the space congress. Background for the Space police version 1 -4: In the original Space Police, they were just that, a police force in space. They would round up bad guys and put them in jail to await trial. After the prisons became full and the Blacktron Wars got really close to home, they turned into a SPII, an army of police men & women ready to fight any battle any way that it took to win. After the war was over they were scaled way back in terms of power and influence. By 2007, the Space Police had been put under the control of the Universal Space Congress and turned into their third incarnation, which was basically SPI but more refined. Instead of throwing them in jail, they put them in stack-able, easier-to-maintain cyro-pods to await trial. Then the Black Hole gang (secretly under the sway of the Blacktron) arrived. They destroyed several SPIII stations, and sent many convicts free. Meanwhile, Blacktron officials officially denounced the Black Hole Gang and spread rumors of police corruption and gang / police cooperation conspiracy throughout the Congress via their agents. The SPIII were able to stop those rumors and put the Blacktron's plans in the spotlight, but at great cost. With Congress' eyes opened to the Blacktron's plan of severing the ties between themselves and it's only protectors - the Space Police- the congress gave everything they had to the police who then stopped the war by vaporizing the Blacktron home-world . Unfortunately, the all-alien Black Hole Gang led to some anti-alien polices to be installed in the Space Police, now in their 4th Incarnation. This has led to clashes between the Police and Alien Rights groups. As of January 1st 2014, The Space Police have made the Universe more like a military state under their control. Even the space congress unofficially serves them as payback for the SP saving the known cosmos in the war. Everyone officially denies it, but at the same time they know who pulls the strings and what will happen to them if they talk. Some people try to stop them, but they almost always disappear - another loose end severed. It is almost as if the Space Police had turned into the very thing they sought to destroy. The OCTAN corporation helps supply the Space Police with the latest in crowd control, armored vehicles, uniforms, and barely-legal tactics and military-grade "stun" weapons. The vehicle seen here is a Radically Advanced Design (or R.A.D.) Hovercar, rushed off the production line to combat the remains of Blacktron and the Black Hole Gang. The car utilizes a standard OCTAN fusion reactor for power. These officer drop ships are any figures worst nightmare: pulled into service during riots or "times of great threat, peace disturbances or etc." These ships are actually used as fear weapons; the sight of one is sure to make an rebel cell move it's HQ or think twice about doing so, as even if it's just empty and on it's way to the repair bay. These ships were originally equipped with holding cells that have been removed in place of the much-feared but never photographed "Cryogenics Unit", also known as Division 13. These ship will take the people and any witlessness to the Division and put them into icy storage, for "retrieval at a later time and safer location". This is a mod of set 5985 (Space Police Central) and the cell design from the LEGO Movie set 70815. (Super Secret police Dropship) The exterior of the base features two holding cells and a repair garage capable of fitting a police patrol hover car from set 70802 (Bad Cop's Pursuit) with just a little overhang at the rear. I also made the cafeteria a little bigger and one floor taller. The overview tower is a little larger, having moved the front forward a couple studs and adding another section of windows to the bubble dome. i even changed the color of the windows to trans-clear. The rear of the model features openings allowing for access to the inside. From left to right you can see the cafeteria on the bottom floor of the nearly windowless building. The top floor of said structure features the commander's desk with computer. The next section has the garage on the lower floor, while the command bridge oversees the landing of large dropships and medium size patrol craft and smaller speeder bikes. The weapons rack is up there too, just in case. (oh, and by the way: the color coded bricks are used to describe different threat levels to officers & civilians: The Green brick means it is situation normal for everyone. The yellow bricks means heightened threat level, civilians are advised to take extra precautions but are allowed in most places still, but identity cards may be required. Red means extreme conditions, such as a war within the city or severe riot. Martial law is in effect, civilians are ordered to stay home or at work, no one leaves or enters high-risk areas, and identity cards are a must: no exceptions.) The right of the model features a targeting range and holding cells. The model is mostly modular, with the cafeteria building being disconnected from the main complex. The holding cells are movable too, being loadable into transport vessels or dropships. NOTES: Here is the ldd file for the station and the three ships: http://www.moc-pages...1448477121m.lxf Also, here is how to build your own SP-4 officers: The uniform for these officers is supposed to be the Super Secret police outfit ( http://alpha.brickli...lor=63#T=C&C=63 ) with plain black legs ( http://alpha.brickli...lor=63#T=C&C=63 ) and this CITY policeman's hat ( http://alpha.brickli...lor=63#T=C&C=63 ) while the head is the standard yellow smiley head ( http://alpha.brickli...Color=3#T=C&C=3 ) The vehicles are Bad cop's hover car (found in this set: http://alpha.brickli...=70802-1#T=S&O= ) and the dropship, found in set 70815 (See it here: http://alpha.brickli...=70802-1#T=S&O= ) The small enforcer hover scooter poly-bag is also used by SP IV when needed. (link to it: http://alpha.brickli...=30282-1#T=S&O= ) Any thoughts / comments / complaints / opinions are welcome! EDIT 7/27/16: Added real life models and space police precinct station.
  11. Thank you both for your kind words. I'll pass along the compliments to my dad.
  12. Thanks for stopping by! My dad's builds have been blowing my phone up today, as I posted them here on Eurobricks, MOCpages, Flickr and several Facebook groups at around the same time. People have been liking the models all day and when I told him about it all, he couldn't believe it that in just 7 hours 34 people have like it on Facebook groups alone! That's more than any of my builds so far. Sorry if it's off topic, I just can't believe that he's gotten such good feedback! Anyway, here is my interpretation of his stuff: I have faithfully recreated the elevator and added some parts that did not exist in '99, such as the red windscreens used a funnel, and a conveyor belt with handle. I also did some major goofs, such as making the building one stud too thin, (it should be 16 studs wide at the base), but I hope I compensated enough by making the funnel tall enough to let the tallest official train car I could think of go through without problems. This model was originally designed back in the late 1990's by my Father for his 9V locomotives. After completion, It sat in the Basement alongside his other custom models including his tunnel, grain elevator, bridge, and water tower. Fast Forward a decade to 2006. I had played with his models all my childhood, using them for my own trains until he built me my own smaller single track version in black & red around 2006. I longed to figure out how to build my own, and in in 2005, I discovered Bricklink & LEGO Digital Designer. I didn't really use them together until 2010, when the first version of my dad's shed was built. It wasn't very good, but it led to this model back in 2012: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/335344 From there I made the roof removable, and then I added newer windows, and a less expensive color scheme. By mid 2013, it was compete, at least in digital format. I think it's pretty evident what this should be. I originally built these three models in LDD in the middle of last year 92014), but have never built them in real life. My thoughts on them are the following: Do they do a better job at representibg real prototypes than the original models? ...maybe. Do they have same basic look as the originals? ...yes. Would I take these over my dad's creations? ...no! They lack the blood, sweat and tears that my dad put into his models, and as such, a part of him is missing from these reproductions. it's like copying a ancient Greek vase with high quality replica version. They may do it better in a mechanized factory, but they don't put their soul into each and every hand-crafted one. That's my two cents, and I'm sorry if it ran a little long.
  13. Here are my Dad's custom buildings from the mid 1990's - early 2000's, excluding his train tunnel (which I forgot to to take pictures of). Pictures taken from my cellphone, so please excuse the crappy pics. This double track train shed was built by my father way before I had built my first LEGO system train. It was originally single track and used parts using several copies of set 6380 (Emergency Treatment Center) from 1987. Around 2005, I rediscovered the model and he decided to add a second stall to the engine shed, which he did (using a rather new website called Bricklink) He even added brick built re-railers to in-between the rails. Here is the rear of the shed, which can't fit any of my custom engines or large-N-long official trains like the Emerald Night. This is the grain elevator that my dad hasn't finished (yet). It has been sitting since 1999-ish with white splotches where their should be old gray. (see over by the loading bay) It also needs work on the delivery method to the train cars. Right now it just has a open spot in the roof and swinging double doors to stop the flow of tan 1 x 1 cylinders to the track below. I have suggested adding a conveyor belt to the building to increase capacity, but only time will tell if it is implemented. The bridge was built in the mid 1990's by my Dad and features the base-plate from set 6552 (Rocky Retreat) from 1993. This factory was by my Dad around the years 2000 - 2004 with parts from several Sand Red supplemental packs available at that time. It does not feature any interior, nor does it have a removable roof. But this thing is built STRONG: you have to really put your weight on it to press the roof together. It has never been determined what this factory made in-universe, though for my own purposes, I pretended it made beverages. What beverages, you ask? Why, Dr. Leg O. Brick's Root Beer of course! Thoughts, comments, and complaints are always welcome!
  14. As a Lego Universe player from the Launch to the very end, I must say you've made the faction leaders look very good.... however, all you are missing is a Baron Tyhonus / Darckitect figure to lead the Maelstrom. Other than that, I must say you've done the Nexus Force proud!
  15. He's old enough to join Eurobricks, but doesn't want to right now. He bought the original set of Bricklink last Christmas, and had been modifying it almost non-stop ever since. Also, I will ask him about the potential for lawn details, as it's a very good idea!
  16. That model is very much awesome, but the police woman Super Secret Police torso + helmet is just as cool. I just might have to borrow that combo for my SPIV officers.
  17. Thanks for commenting and pointing that out: I will lower the front wings when I build it. by the way, it will cost me $19 to build this model, minus S&H from three sellers.
  18. This is my brother's MOD / MOC of the 1993 LEGO set number 6398 (Central Precinct HQ) I took the pictures, he made the building, and we collaborated on the text. Once again, this is NOT my moc, and you can see it at his MOCpage here: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/417074 This building is one heavily modified set. It features a new printed 1x1 sign, along with new computer terminals and a modern swing open design for the back stairwell. Here is close up of the main sign of the precinct. This part of the model lacks a back half because it would make it harder to access the opening jail cell (which you can escape from by way of a loose wall), break room, and equipment storage locker. The top floor is an unused office room. This portion of the station features the 911 call center (top floor), digital record storage room and detective office. (second floor) The main reception area is on the ground floor. The swing-open back stairs makes it easier for fig to access their desks, and for play value because if you can't reach the figures, what's the point? The stairs only open 90 degrees, and lock shut on a Technic pin. The police station features a heli port for the copter that provides an eye in the sky during high speed car chases or foot pursuits. Here we see some of the cars of the precinct. These police interceptor's are used in everything from street patrol duty to high speed chases. (when used with the helicopter, of course.) The stations front side features two balconies overlooking the street, with one having a walkway to the helipad, and the other being just a rest area when you are on coffee break. This is is my brother new favorite picture. Please leave comments, complaints, and questions below. I will forward them to my brother. Thanks for stoping by!
  19. In here you will find all my odds-and-ends of space related stuff that is not Space Police IV orientated. This thread includes hover cars, space tankers, and occasional buildings of the cyber-punk Dystopia / futuristic theme. Smokey's Space Garage A small portion of this model is based off set 5980, (Squidman's Pit-stop, as recreated in LDD by Marco9999) from the Space Police III line in summer 2009. The rest is my idea. Fictional backstory for this model: The pit-stop building was originally painted a bright red with trans-neon green windows, and was used as a manned M-TRON radio message relay outpost until the company moved on to another method of communication via automated hyper-space message satellites. After being abandoned by the company in 2200, the building sat vacant until Squidman found it floating in interstellar space around 2207. Squidman and his cyborg helper, Squidtron, then opened up a spaceship repair business called Squidman's Pit-stop that was a front for illegal spaceship modifications and smuggling for the Black Hole Gang and it's members. After the gang was utterly destroyed in 2211, Squidman seemed to go clean, and set up the a legitimate business called Smokey's Space Garage with help from Dr. Hamm "Smokey" Porkchop, a fellow retired evil-doer. They used the old pit-stop as a base of the new business venture, but really the three former villains decided to go on with their life of crime, but in a good way by helping the less fortunate victims of the Space Police IV regime. They do this by giving them means and money to fight back against the oppressive police state, with the biggest supporter coming from techno-mage Analog and his space car Shatter-point. The inside of the building has various spray paint cans and fuel drums lay about in a carefully-constructed illusion of disarray, as the entire facility is booby-trapped. For example, the sign on top of the building is actually a weapons launcher with a number of radar-guided dark-matter missiles, while the entire asteroid is equipped with a red-matter bomb at it's core, ready to destroy the base with a instant black hole just in case of a overwhelming attack as a desperate last resort... luckily, that hasn't happened, and the SPIV are oblivious to the robin hood-like second life of the Smokey's Space Garage and it's crew. This picture shows off the revolving weapons / tool wall.. It only opens to a code word and hand-print scanner combination. If one is used without the other in quick succession, the red-matter bomb will arm and begin it's countdown. If another code-word is entered, the bomb at the core of the asteroid will disarm and reset. The garage feature a cold nuclear fusion reactor to power the facility, it's defenses, and refueling any visiting space ships. The entrance to the reactor is guarded by an airlock and is connected to the fusion control room, which also controls the secret defenses for the outpost. Squidman is on the left, and Squidtron is on the right... or maybe I've got that backwards? No one really knows for sure who is who anymore, or if they are both robots, with the real Squidman somewhere else in the universe. Here is the figure for Dr. Hamm "Smokey" Porkchop. Three of these are used on the signs placed throughout the model. If you see a white 2 x 4 tile, then this sign goes there. (It's not on Bricklink yet, that's why there is no link to it!) OCTAN space tanker This OCTAN truck is on the smaller end of hover tankers. It can fit in tight and hard to reach areas with it's small size and high maneuverability, a still carry two different types of fuel in the two side pods. This type can carry Nitro-oxide2, propane. It is a regular supplier of various fluids at Smokey's Space Garage. This ship should feature the following printed parts, this goes on the front of the ship, while two of these go on the side pods This OCTAN tanker has three engines: two sub-light and one hyper drive. The model was inspired by Bricksky's alternate build of set 60016 from 2014. The pilot of the ship is wearing the standard OCTAN spacesuit, circa 2217. Here are the LDD files for the tanker and garage. What do you think? Comments are always welcome, be it complaint, praise, question or otherwise!
  20. Can anyone else see the potential for a Bone suit from Lego Universe? All you need is this helmet to complete it: http://www.bricklink.com/PL/85945.jpg Now all we need is a Mosaic Jester outfit to complete the non-faction Crux Prime quartet: Bat Lord, Explorien bot, Bone Suit, Mosaic jester.... Oh, and the Zombie Pirate Captain looks cool too!
  21. The first post has been substantially updated to include a new LDD file, pictures and real-world background info for the GS-6 engine class. The model has had many changes made to the frame / wheel arrangement / front bogie to make it into a true 4-8-4. I also parted the engine out to the tune of $170 (US), which should (fingers crossed) be purchased soon, at least by next month. Enjoy! Also, I'm sorry if updating these models bothers anyone. I'll stop if need be.
  22. Sorry, that was a long and odd title, I couldn't think of anything really catchy. Also, I put this in town forum because it involves land-based town vehicles with some sci-fi features thrown in for good measure. (I hope this is okay, but you mods can move it if you want!) Also, I will update this thread when need be to prove these have been built in real life and are not just digital models. Classic Space car (Benny the Blue astronaut) This is Benny the 1980-something space guy's car while on Earth. It was used to travel to the movie studio when making the LEGO Movie, and is now normally parked at Benny's summer home in Bricksburg. The model features a row of space-ship styled seats and "double" tail lights. (I used a trans-red grille to create a nice effect.) the white tile above the rear bumper is supposed to be Benny's license plate. This part goes on the sloped rear of the car: http://www.bricklink...sp?P=30363pb021 Here is the car in real life. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1434990478m.lxf Neo-Nexus Force automobile (Bob from LEGO Universe) Here we see Bob's car for use on Earth. Bob uses the car to travel from his Military Surplus shop in Ironwood to a classified location where he then moves on to his base, Ice Station Destiny, which is located in Polaris star system. This car can seat one figure and is supposed to have this print on the 2x2 slope situated on the trunk: http://www.bricklink...sp?P=15068pb004 Bob's car can also fly using the same basic STARK hover technology as Nick Fury's S.H.I.E.L.D. car does. (Bob is a good friend of Tony Stark and is also on good terms with Bruce Wayne, as he tests out their new tech for both of them) (real world picture goes here when I build this model) LDD file for the car: http://www.mocpages....1437422963m.lxf Treasure Raider (Johnny Thunder) This is Johnny Thunder's car, and has been used from the Great Pyramids of Egypt to the Great Wall of China, to the depths of the Amazon jungles of Peru and even to places not listed on any map where dinosaurs still roam the Earth. The car features seating for two an full-size spare tire (perfect for those times when you jump over a cliff and cause a dented wheel hub while trying to make your getaway from the approaching enemy forces) Here is the real model of the car. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1404178315m.lxf Evil Intentions (Lord Sam Sinister) Here we see the car of Lord Sam Sinister which may or may not have been involved in stealing artifacts and treasures the world over, and was definitely not involved in the botched attempt to ransom the Great Sphinx of Giza's nose. It also was never anywhere close to being hauled onto a battle-cruiser named the HMS Vladeck, which by the way, is not from the country of Ogel. It most certainly was never photographed headed to Antarctica, where it won't locate the lost City of the Ancients. (also known as Atlantis) The car can seat two people, and is supposed to have this license plate where the white 1x2 tile is: http://www.bricklink....asp?P=3069bpa1 Here is the photograph I wasn't talking about before. The LDD file is available here: http://www.mocpages....1436387276m.lxf This concludes the post for now... more vehicles may come eventually.
  23. The Retro Rocket Topic: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=106512 LDD file: http://www.mocpages.com/user_images/80135/1437328544m.lxf Bob's hover car Topic: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=106512 LDD file: http://www.mocpages.com/user_images/80135/1437422963m.lxf
  24. Time for an update! The Retro Rocket I removed the original cockpit from this LEGO Universe rocket, and replaced it with the one from the rare Nexus Force rocket poly-bag, number 55001. I then ordered two of the newly created rockets from Bricklink a couple of days ago, where it cost me around $13 US, S&H not included. That's about half what the original set 55001 is even selling for on Bricklink! Now the Astronaut, that's another matter altogether... This rocket splits into three modular parts connected by Technic axles: -Nose Cone -Cockpit -Engine LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1437328544m.lxf Bob's car (version 2) Since I revamped Benny the 1980-something space guy's car, I have been looking for a way to redo Bob's car. While searching for a way to make it look better, I remembered set 76004, (Spider Man: Spider Cycle chase) which provided inspiration to make the car bigger. After several attempts, I finally got it to an acceptable level of perfection... except for the front grille. (something still looks slightly off there!) Also, Bob is included in the LDD file! Anyway, the car can seat one figure and is supposed to have this print on the 2x2 slope situated on the trunk: http://www.bricklink...sp?P=15068pb004 The car also now has hover mode! LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1437422963m.lxf The first post has been updated.
  25. Well, you could always do a Jake Raines-style team in a different setting than Egypt, or Rodney Rathbone and Co. from Monster Fighters doing something other than the monsters that were already done. You could use the CMF "Monster" series as a starting point. (link: http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=104386 ) Here are some story ideas I've come up with sand not used: Lost at Sea - ghost passenger liner (think RMS Titanic) or pirate ship take them to "Midway Pointe" (as in both a land feature and place in time), a mysterious land under Antarctica where you aren't dead, but aren't alive. (like you could be in a coma and wake up in your body and not remember anything that happened, or dead and just holding on to your former life.) While there, the Adventurers realize they are losing touch with their Earth selves and are becoming dead, as they need to navigate to the Inner Sea of Sorrows (deeper in the depths of the Earth, where the hot molten mantle is for us mortals but before the iron core) to become alive again. The Inner Sea of Sorrows is where malevolent spirits and evil people go to rot before can they move on to whatever comes next. Eventually, they come to the Earth's iron core and the Grim Reaper himself, who shows them something about the early 1920's future (think bad world events from the Crash of 1929 all the way to the Atomic Bomb in 1945) and says something like "Why go back when you will live through this?" Then the adventurers team have to make a decision: stay and "move on" or go back and face reality! (What do you think of that?)
