I created this topic to share my Nexo Knight Army! Most pieces are Lego, others are custom, or third party. Note: some Nexo Power Shields are custom printed, and not scannable for the game. I really hope you enjoy! The Monster Army

A Faithful Tribute This is a follow up to the very successful 5002812 – Classic Spaceman Minifigure from 2014 and 5003082 – Classic Pirate Minifigure from 2015. It was no surprised that LEGO was going to continue this rather special trend of celebrating classic themes through these exclusive promos. This set is a direct homage and tribute to 6012 - Siege Cart; a small impulse LEGO Castle set released exactly 30 years ago. Unintentionally this promo becomes even more special as it’s released a few weeks after the passing of Daniel August Krentz, a retired LEGO designer who worked at LEGO between mid-1970s until 2000. Daniel is known to many us as the designer of 375 – Castle. Packaging The primary aspect of the box design is very reminiscent of most of the boxes between 1960 – 1965; the white studs covering the entire box and the LEGO logo in the top left. The box doesn’t scream attention to the contents much like the current products do, instead they show a small and simple vignette of the set with an extract of the booklet included and the 2016 stamp. Other nice details of the packaging include the LEGO System logo from 1950s on three sides. To open the box, you have to slide open the drawer on the right hand side which contains the pieces and booklet. Not only does the contents of the product reflect the classic sets, it’s also presented through the packaging and experience as you open the box which is one of the many reasons why this series is clearly a success. These easily have the best packaging of any LEGO product alongside Architecture, LEGO Ideas and the two exclusive Technic sets (41999 & 42056.) Booklet The booklet starts off with the simple instructions to build the Minifigure and model. It follows up by documenting the classic LEGO Castle sets through a timeline starting with the origins leading up to 2016’s Nexo Knights. Which follows a similar pattern with the previous two promos in this series. With the future instalments I can only guess it will be a similar scenario by promoting a new theme / sub-theme that links back to a classic LEGO theme. Surprisingly this also comes with a sticker sheet / postcard; the stickers are images of Minifigures represented throughout the Castle themes as well as the two LEGO logos. On the reverse side it’s a typical postcard design with a ‘castle / knights’ twist! I wish it was just a postcard with an awesome print showcasing this set instead of the stickers which slightly decreases the exclusivity of this promo. Minifigure The Minifigure is a near replica of the official castle sets, the difference being the weapon of choice; the long axe is a rather odd choice, perhaps an alternative weapon such as a bow and quiver could have been included instead. The printing is fantastic, both on the torso and the shield. I really appreciate that the torso or printing wasn’t over done or didn’t represent the ‘classic’ torso. That’s was one aspect that took away from previous promo (5003082 - Classic Pirate Minifigure.) Model The only noticeable difference between this model and the one included with 6012 - Siege Cart is the use of brown slopes over plates for the front bow shape, my guess is they weren’t available in the 80s. Besides that, pretty much every detail and feature from the original model has been replicated into this model, including the shield attachment at the front! Much like the printing they’ve stayed faithful and not over done the details to bring the design into modern day. Final Analysis / Conclusion Comparing this promo to the previous two; it’s easily the superior of the three! Not only does it reflect and celebrate the classic castle theme it also gives a faithful reproduction to a classic set: 6012 - Siege Cart; rather than including a random assembly of parts as did ‘5003082 - Classic Pirate Minifigure from 2015. It’s a perfect example of what a faithful homage and promotional product should be! 9.5 / 10 In the memory of Daniel August Krentz (1937 – 2016.)

Having only started collecting LEGO minifigures about 18 months ago. I have about 200 so far. I do not know exactly how many because they are all over the place. I have tried making up stands like the excellent design by Splat http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=56557 but in the end it worked out increasingly expensive as the 4x1x1 Brick W Bow became more and more elusive. So I'm interested in what many of you members are using to display your collection. I know the IKEA Ribba frame is popular but it doesn't allow you easy access to the figures and not expandable. I got a couple of the official LEGO minifigure display cases but even they are now discontinued. I recently saw the case below online but the only place I found available in the UK is from Smyths Toys: http://www.smythstoys.com/uk/en-gb/toys/lego-bricks/c-827/lego-classic/p-11769/lego-large-minifigure-display-case/ But at £30 each for the large one, it seems very expensive. Has anyone here got one? Is it stackable with the original LEGO minifigure case? I like it because it will minimise the dreaded dust problem.

Hi I have decided to create a custom minifigure of James Bond for each of the official films, which will eventually include the soon to be released Spectre. For each film, I am trying to recreate Bond's 'signature look' which is easier for some films than others, any ideas, comments and criticism is welcome. These are the ones completed so far, all are purist Dr. No Being the first film, I went for Bond's iconic tuxedo and, since the only guns are revolvers which don't really match what Bond uses, I have given him a Martini glass. From Russia with Love For most of the film, Bond wears a light grey suit and tie, this one I think is a good match. I have given him the sniper rifle he uses in the film and the brown suitcase represents the Lektor machine he is assigned to steal from the KGB. Goldfinger One of the most famous scenes in Goldfinger has Bond and the villain play a tense game of golf. The outfit here is very similar to Bond's but in the wrong colour, his sweater should be a dark red or brown, but I haven't found a better match so far. He is seen here holding the bar of Nazi gold he wagers against Goldfinger in the match. You Only Live Twice In You Only Live Twice, Bond must disguise himself as a Japanese fisherman in order to infiltrate Blofelt's base. I have recreated that look here with a black kimono and Japanese wig. While Bond himself does not actually wield a samurai sword in the film, several other characters do and it seemed a good fit. On Her Majesty's Secret Service The first film without Sean Connery, hence I have given Bond a different face and hair. For much of the story, Bond impersonates a Scottish Baronet, in appropriate attire. As he proposes marriage in the film, I have given him a wedding ring. Licence To Kill One of Timothy Dalton's two films sees Bond pitted against the evil drug dealer Franz Sanchez and cut off from MI6, so his sharp suits give way to more practical clothing. As the story revolves around drugs and money, including $5 million dollars Bond steals from Sanchez, Bond has a bank note here. These are all of the Bond's I have completed so far. Most of the other films are somewhere in the pipeline! Coming soon; The Spy who Loved Me Moonraker The Living Daylights Die Another Day

With the new baby pieces LEGO has produced in 2016, I had to wonder: How do Minifigures age? Besides their torsos and arms cracking, I mean. Do they start as baby figures and then get short legs and then get normal legs and then they're an adult? Or do the babies stay babies forever, the children stay children forever, and the adults stay adults forever? Or perhaps something else entirely. YOU DECIDE! Actually, don't. We'll all just discuss it. It's not for one person to decide.

I've been making a lot of minifigures and it is high time to post some that have been on my harddrive for months! These three were an effort to make more female characters from an Action & Adventure Theme. It is a shame that the ratio seems to be around five guys and one girl with named character releases, most of the sub-themes have at least one female character. Reasons aren't important as to why there are so few and it was easy for me to make these from my collection. So on to the figures! Tia Thwait-Fuller Daughter of a well known archaeologist-adventurer and a respected historian, Hypatia ‘Tia’ Thwait-Fuller took after her father more. Libraries, archives and curating collections were her future and she loved it. However when a mystery map with a riddle and a story was uncovered in an old storage room, Tia began to obsess about solving it and finding where the map led. With her parents busy she decided to take off on an adventure of her own. She appeared in my MOC of an All Terrain vehicle Gelert. After getting the lady scientist CMF I had a head for the bookish character and built the rest around that. There is a lot of Twilight Sparkle about this character, with a hint of Evelyn Carnahan and just a little ‘hidden depths’ from Lirael. I used a torso from Pharaoh's Quest, CMF Librarian hair and the Map from Pirates of the Caribbean. Eleri She only goes by one name. Part mercenary, part adventurer and all independent. There are few clues as to Eleri’s past. Rumours have it that she is an heiress of titles and money who rebelled and ran away to the far-east. Whatever her past, Eleri is known as an expert tracker and outdoor survivor who’ll hire herself out more for the thrill than the payday. Also appeared in the Gelert car. I originally built this figure as a fighter of monster mutant plants in a posing/forced perspective MOC experiment that didn't go so well. There was basically a lot of homage to Ellen Ripley (in fact when my brother in law was having a nose at my LEGO he asked why I’d made a Ripley figure.) in the creation of a figure to fight mutant plant monsters. When that didn't work she became an adventurer. Chuck some Tomb Raider and a healthy dose of any runaway-rebel-rich-girl you can think of to get the character I was aiming for. Dino trousers, the CMF swimmer's torso, Space Heroine head and Frodo's hair. The machete is of course Brick Arms. Dr. Regina Thwaite-Fuller Adventurer, wanderer, a society lady that her peers both admire and stare aghast at. She set out for fun and discovery and gathered some extras on the way. Now having collected a doctorate and a family she is slightly less reckless and the handy firearm takes care of the other threats. The bone-kicking business can get a little exciting after all. This figure came about when I wanted to make a Mustrum Ridcully type character with a twist. Monster Fighter characters remixed into something new. With hints of a few female characters from fiction and history (Or, the popular perceived image of certain historical characters). A Monster Fighters head and torso, Indy legs all combined to make a character that, on reflection, might be a bit over-armed...

It is my pleasure to announce that the 2014 LEGO Minifigure Catalog is now available. It contains more than 650 Minifigures with detailed photographs and meta data. The book is a whopping 192 pages. I have limited the distribution options to Amazon and hence was able to reduce the price to only $32 USD. This is the biggest year book so far and I dare to say my best one so far.

Hi After the overwhelmingly positive response to my James Bond project, which is still a WIP, I have decided to make a sister project of Bond's famous adversaries. Like the Bonds, these will all be purist and I am open to any suggestions, feedback or constructive criticism, enjoy! Please note, some of the descriptions may contain spoilers for the associated movies. Dr Julius No (Dr No) "Unfortunately, I misjudged you, you are just a stupid police man" The first Bond villain, Dr No plans to demonstrate the power of SPECTRE by sabotaging US Space launches from his secret base in Jamaica. Having lost his hands through radioactive exposure, he has metal claws strong enough to crush a gold statue. Donald 'Red' Grant (From Russia with Love) "I get a kick out of watching you, the great James Bond, find out what a bloody fool he's been making of himself." Grant is SPECTRE's most formidable assassin, sent to kill Bond aboard the Orient Express and steal back the top secret Lektor machine he took from the Russians. The figure is carrying the exploding briefcase that causes his downfall after he blows his cover as a fellow British agent by ordering red wine with fish. Auric Goldfinger (Goldfinger) "This is gold, Mr Bond. All my life I've been in love with its colour... its brilliance, its divine heaviness." A millionaire obsessed with Gold, Goldfinger embarks on the crime of the century, to break into Fort Knox, but doesn't plan to take a single bar of gold... Elektra King (The World is not Enough) "You wouldn't kill me. You'd miss me." After her oil tycoon father is assassinated, Elektra inherits the King pipeline, bringing crude oil from Azerbaijan to Europe. She and Bond become extremely close, before she reveals her villainous intent to monopolise oil production with a nuclear meltdown in Istanbul. Gustav Graves (Die Another Day) "You're a rare challenge, Mr Bond. " A wealthy diamond miner, Graves has developed the Icarus satellite, supposedly capable of increasing daylight in parts of the world which normally spend months in darkness, however he is in fact the disguised Colonel Moon, a North Korean war criminal who Bond supposedly killed. Graves and Bond meet during a fencing match, so I have re-created that look here. Le Chiffre (Casino Royale) "I hope our little game isn't causing you to perspire." A maths genius and expert poker player, Le Chiffre is also a terrorist banker who uses his skills with statistics to play the stock market, but when Bond prevents a terrorist attack on Miami Airport, his plan to profit from a drop in airline stock fails and he must turn to the casino tables to recoup his loses, hence he is seen here with a gambling chip. That's all I have for now, I hope to post some more (and better pictures!) soon!

I've run contests before, but since I want to spread my outreach for this contest, I have decided to post this one here. So, without further ado, let me introduce the... This new contest is being run in conjunction with a current animation project, titled Project U! So, what is this contest, you may ask? Well, read on to find out! Official Rules 1. You will create a new and original character and cast them into one of the four Nexus Force factions: Sentinels, Assembly, Venture League, or Paradox. 2. While the character is restricted to one of the four factions, they are not restricted to the classes of each faction (ex. A Sentinel character doesn’t have to be a knight, samurai, or space marine). 3. You will submit a five-point turnaround of one and only one character (unless it is important for the character to have a maximum of one companion). In addition to this, you will also submit details that tell the character’s name, age, personality traits, and any other important information. 4. When submitting a character design, there is no restriction on the medium used. You may use actual LEGO pieces, LDraw, LEGO Digital Designer, pencil and paper, pen and ink, paint, digital paint, vector drawing, 3D Max, Autodesk Maya, etc. 5. You will not be restricted to actual LEGO pieces (as the characters in LEGO Universe were not). However, if you want to be more inventive, it is recommended that these pieces are modeled after pieces that can be bought from third-party vendors (Brickarms, BrickForge, etc.). 6. Mustache Maniacs Film Co. staff members cannot participate in this contest. 7. All entries MUST be accepted by December 31, 2014. 8. To submit your entry for this contest, make a reply in this thread that contains character description and all of the required images. All live posts will be considered submitted. Prizes 20 finalists selected from the different branches of this contest will be featured in the final Project U film, Legends of the Universe (scheduled release: 2020)! 1 grand prize winner selected from the 20 finalists will play the part of the character they created! With that said, be sure to have fun and good luck! P.S.: I haven't entirely dabbled in minifigure customization, but have created several animated brickfilms (this contest relates to one of my in-development films). If you are not familiar with my work, here is a link to the official Mustache Maniacs Film Co. website. http://mustachemaniacsfilmco.webs.com/

We seem to always get 6 sets for every theme/subtheme. Last year we got the Doc Ock Ambush really late and it surprised us. Well there's currently only 5 Marvel sets for 2013 so far (3 Iron Man 3, 2 Ultimate Spider-Man). What do you think the last set will be. I'm thinking maybe a Fantastic 4 set or something like that. Maybe also a Wolverine set (based on the movie).

I know TLG has made Lego the lone ranger but what happened to classic Western or pirates. Do you think Lego will bring back western in a non Disney theme and make it more like its classic mid 1990's counterpart. If they Bring western back will we see flat foot thompson or a new cast of villains and sheriffs. What do you think. When do you think they might bring it back. If you don't think they'll bring it back why. Sincerley CullmanCreations

Hi, I am new here. I just bought and received a Black Widow Minifigure from eBay. However, it was sealed in its own little bag; the type of bag used for Captain America's shield and Iron Man and Loki's helmet. I did a couple of Google searches, and it did not seem like the Black Widow Minifigure comes packaged in its own bag from the LEGO 6869 Quinjet Aerial Battle set. I checked and my figure has all of the moulded LEGO trademarks it is supposed to have, and it even has the LEGO neck paint. I highly doubt my figure is a bootleg because I have bought multiple sets from this seller before, and he has 100% positive feedback of over a 1000 feedbacks. Is there an explanation for this? I suspect it could be a replacement Minifigure from LEGO, or maybe it really is fake?

Here are the minifig superhero and supervillain MOCs of which I have pictures. I have a few more I haven't photographed yet. I'm mostly not into heavy modding but I'm also not a purist as you can see from the third party parts. Apologies for the rubbish photography. My only camera is my phone which dates back to the dawn of time. Wolverine! Hawkeye Riddler (already posted on EB - reposted for completion) Electro

This is what happens when you cross a minifigure and a Mixel... Even though I MOC'ed it, I can't figure out if it's two eyes on eye-stalks with a body as a head (i.e. with a mouth and brain behind the armour) or whether each 'eye' is actually a head in its own right with its own brain. What do you think of this MOC? And is this a one- or two-headed creature?

As both a fan of the Lord of the Rings and of yellow minifigs, I had to mod my minifigs of the Fellowship of the Ring to change their skin tone. Along the way, I also added some third party pieces such as the BrickForge staff and sword for Gandalf, and the BrickArms sword for Boromir. I actually created these minifigs a long time ago but have only recently got the IT necessary to post the pic below. Since the picture was taken, I have made a few additional changes such as removing Frodo's tear. Hope you like the minifigs!

Hi guys, I have been unsuccessfully browsing Bricklink for pieces to create one of my favourite characters in the Lord of the Rings. Given that many of you are experts in Historic Themes, I was hoping that somebody might be able to help me out. This is a picture of Glorfindel as he appears in the LEGO Lord of the Rings video game. I have the hair and head and surely could find a dark blue cape, but I couldn't find anything that even remotely resembles the torso and legs. I would greatly appreciate any ideas and suggestions! Cheers, Michael
