  1. Update time! I couldn't wait any longer to post this: Bob's car is done, but the pieces for the updated Bright Hope haven't arrived yet. The updated engines for the Bright Hope should be here tomorrow, while the base's landing pad hasn't been ordered yet. While we wait for the last shipment to arrive, here is the LDD file for the updated Bright Hope: http://www.mocpages.com/user_images/80135/1444696694m.lxf
  2. Good work! I have built up my LU-based items over the years and though I was part of the minority who thought the game was good... too good to let go of. Here's some of my rockets if you want to see what I mean: Great work on your rocket by the way. I can't wait to see what you'll do next with this topic!! Long Live LU, may your memory spur on the imaginations of children yet unknown!
  3. So did I. I can imagine it being sung by the dwarven cast of the hobbit, except in Lego form, like in the LEGO movie... dang, someone one should do that and brick-film it while we wait!
  4. yeah, i'm not to fond of removing arms from torsos. Too much potential for cracking! Also, I have updated the Daleks and Davros. LDD file is available... I have also added the 10th doctor's TARDIS console.
  5. I'm planning on turning this 3 track long, 1 track wide train shed with no baseplates: ...Into this 4 track long, 2 tracks wide locomotive shed: As you may have noticed, I will be cutting a base-plate down to a 6 x 32 section to have it fit in the middle of the shed where there is no base-plate currently.

  7. sorry for the bump, but I built Benny's car back in July, and photographed it the day after making the above post. i then promptly forgot about it, until now. also, I updated the Classic Space Jeeps: The front hood should feature this print: http://www.bricklink...sp?P=30363pb021 The model features a removable roof and spare tire. I plan on getting two of these jeeps for the space base. Here is the LDD file for the jeep: http://www.mocpages....1444615201m.lxf I was inspired by the 2010 CITY set number 3182 (Airport) to make this new-and-improved control tower for my Classic Space / Jurassic World MOD. It is supposed to feature Classic Space printing on the blue 4 x 2 slopes, like this: http://www.bricklink...sp?P=30363pb021 The upper floor of the tower features computers for controlling the base. The first floor features a mysterious power source that provides electricity for the whole base. Here is what it looks like connected to the rest of the base. This is the bases' ldd file: http://www.mocpages.com/user_images/80135/1444671756m.lxf
  8. Thanks for the idea! I'll try making it rounder when i get it in real life, but I don't think I'll use 12's console at all. Heck, I might just part it all out since I don't need the figs.
  9. I did originally, but I didn't really like it that spikey. I think the part from Ninjago's Kai looked better, so that's what I used. Oh, by the way: welcome to Eurobricks! Thank you! Thanks, I've had my original TARDIS, Doctor, and console since 2012: This is how it looked. It was built from instructions by Doctor Andrew Sinister.... I can't find the link anymore, otherwise I would post it. I originally made the TARDIS so I could put the Doctor in a 1950's B-Movie kinda invasion situation, but I never bought the Alien Conquest sets, just the TARDIS... this is all that's left, and it was made in Microsoft Paint in 2012.
  10. Thank you! You could use this head and the appropriate hands: http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=3626cpb1367#T=C&C=90 Here is a pic of that head.

  12. This set has only been publicly view-able for about 24 hours and I have already designed a 10th Doctor TARDIS Console. It can even hook into the TARDIS just like the set, though you will have to change out the two fold-out walls to match the tan and grays color scheme of Ten's TARDIS. (The outside portion was recreated by user CM4Sci and posted to the Dr. Who "Ideas" thread on Eurobricks.) This console has a big flip-able switch, a bunch of printed slopes and tiles, and even a Sonic Screwdriver holder, just in case they ever release an official sonic for the 10th Doctor. But for now I'll settle with my "gem and a light saber holder" screwdriver design. I am also including the Doctor in yellow skin form and K-9 (same design as the LEGO Dimensions one) By the way: The doctor's suit seen here is a stand-in for this dark blue one from Alien Conquest: http://alpha.brickli...b0899c01#T=S&O= The console features two staircases to access the floor of the TARDIS, and four chairs in corners spots. Here you can see how the console attaches to the exterior: a 1x4 Technic axle slides into a receiver on the TARDIS wall / front door. Here is the exterior of the TARDIS from Lego set 21304 (called Doctor Who), as reconstructed by Eurobricks user CM4Sci. When I get the set i'm going to remove one of the panels (the one with the St. Johns Ambulance cross) and replace it with a plain dark blue panel, as 10 didn't have that on his TARDIS. The Doctor in his 10th (11th in you count the War Doctor) regeneration. K-9 is from Dimensions LEGO set 71204, which was recreated in LDD by Facebook user Mike MacMillian. I'm going to use printed black 1 x 1 tiles to say "K9" instead of buying the LEGO Dimensions level pack and using the parts there. LDD file for K-9, the Doctor and the complete TARDIS and console: http://www.mocpages....1444163432m.lxf
  13. Does the 11th Doctor come with a sonic screwdriver? I'm hoping so, because he might need it a bit more than a fez.... even though they ARE cool!
  14. Thanks! Yeah, the speeds were little wonky. I believe the speeds were written about in 2010 when I did my first version (see below for a pic), and were based on the Star Wars Wiki page for the Malevolence, and then stepped down for smaller ships. If was in space or atmosphere, I don't know: but light-speed travel in my Universe is the percentage of the speed of light you can go in the ship: as in, nothing can beat the speed of light. Thus, 65% of the speed of light is 9,6926 MPH, according to google... (at least, i think I did that right!) Thanks. This isn't everything, though: I've got plans for more: one of these... three of these (and the accompanying SW Rebels Stormtroopers)... ..and a couple of these. These two are the Avenger & the Impervious from the back-story of the Nevermore.
  15. I've swooshed spaceships (especially Benny's SPACESHIP!) and air-craft, even boats get the up and down motion to pretend they are in rough seas. I guess you could say this (to paraphrase a certain beer commercial): "I don't always swoosh LEGO, but when I do, I prefer spaceships... Swoosh often, my friends." Now i just need someone to make it into a meme....

  17. (Yes, I just made a reference to the Wizard of Oz with Doctor Who characters. Mind blown yet?) Anyway, I created this topic to list out some creations inspired by the Doctor WHO Dimensions sets. I was inspired by EuroBricks user Deskp (also known as deskp1990 on Flickr) to re-create his Daleks and add some of my own touches, such as making them build-able right now, without waiting for the Doctor Who TARDIS set or it's LEGO Dimensions counterpart to arrive. Generic Dalek This Dalek takes his orders from the Supreme Dalek, who then gets commands from Davros. Supreme Dalek The Supreme Dalek wishes to EXTERMINATE(!) all other forms of life, as does every other Dalek... except for a few notable exceptions, of course. Davros, creator of the Daleks Davros, evil creator of the Daleks, in all his infamy. He is missing one part, and that is the printed torso. I will use this one when I build him: http://alpha.brickli...Buttons Pattern I haven't decided what head to use yet, though.... maybe the original Emperor Palpatine from the yellow-skin era? LDD file for Davros, the Dalek and the Supreme Dalek: http://www.mocpages....1445474385m.lxf K-9 K-9 is from Dimensions LEGO set 71204, which was recreated in LDD by Facebook user Mike MacMillian. The 10th Doctor (11th in you count the War Doctor) Here we see him with his Sonic screwdriver.... so much better than sunglasses! As a side note, the Doctor should be wearing this dark blue suit: http://alpha.brickli...b0899c01#T=S&O= LDD file for the Doctor and K-9: http://www.mocpages....1443557576m.lxf Also of note: I have designed a 10th Doctor TARDIS Console. 18. (Moderators, please note: These ships are inspired by Star Wars vehicles / sets , but they are not linked to star wars in any other way. As such, please do not move this thread to Star Wars forum. Thank you!) also, sorry for the blurry pictures. These are the best I could do. The Nevermore was commissioned in 2009 as the second ship of the "Vanguard" class of Star Cruiser. The ship's only sister vessel, the Usher, was destroyed in 2010 by a Blacktron strike force while the Nevermore was just a skeleton-frame and a yard number. (The Usher was enroute to the Unknown Regions to confront a Fleet of Blacktron ships headed for the Imperial shipyards, located on the world of Titan IV) The Nevermore was finished at lightning speed and was launched the week before the Blacktron arrived in May 2011, and soundly beat the Blacktron fleet with the help of a prototype Ion Cannon attached to Titan IV's surface. After chasing the Blacktron from the sector, the ship was christened the Nevermore by his Imperial Highness himself, with it's symbol being the Raven. In August 2012, the ship set off with orders to join up with the Imperial frigate Lenore and two Assault Carriers named the Avenger, and the Impervious (among with several dozen support ships and fighters) to from the Home Fleet. Name: Nevermore Owner: Lego Empire Model: Vanguard Class Star Cruiser Designer: Imperial Design Dept. Manufacturer: Imperial Shipyards Engines: 16 Twin Ion Engines (TIE) Max Speed: 1,850 MPH Max Hyper Speed: 60% speed of light The Nevermore features 16 engines. As you may have guessed, this ship is a modified version of set 9515: the Malevolence made into Imperial Gray-scale. The command bridge of the Nevermore features Admiral Oswald Lyons seat (on the right) with Lt. Commander Eliza Burnside (top seat) and Doctor Andrew Sinister (bottom seat) Right: Admiral Oswald Lyons Middle: Dr. Andrew Sinister Left: Lt Commander Eliza Burnside The Lenore was built during the last Blacktron War in late 2010. It was built with an experimental engine system which super-charged the regular TIE reactor into a BO-TIE ultra-reactor. This will make the regular Twin Ion Engine obsolete... once all the kinks are worked out with the design. Until such time, the cream of the crop in reactor technicians and their associated equipment are stationed on the Lenore should anything go wrong. This ship can go faster at light-speed than the Nevermore, though it trundles along at slower speed when not at full throttle. (It's sort of like a conventional turbine: works well at full speed but it's not so fuel efficient at lower speeds) Anyway, the Lenore is currently stationed in the Home Fleet the Star Cruiser Nevermore with two Assault Carriers named the Avenger, and the Impervious, among with several dozen support ships and fighters. Name: Lenore Owner: Lego Empire Model: Poe Class frigate Designer: Imperial Design Dept. Manufacturer: Imperial Shipyards Engines: 3 Boosted Output Twin Ion Engines (BO-TIE) Max Speed: 1,300 MPH Max Hyper Speed: 65% speed of light rear view featuring the 3 BO-TIE engines. Right: Captain Patricia Romanov Middle: Dr. Edward Jekyll Left: Lt. Commander Landon Williams Both the Nevermore (top) and the Lenore (bottom) are in scale with each other. ...and here is the symbol of the mighty LEGO Empire. Well, that's all for now. What do you think? Comments, Questions, & Complaints are welcome!

  20. sorry for the late reply: here is my best attempt at a picture of this technique; The red parts slide, the blue stay put. (BTW: There are parts underneath that keep the sliding bogie from falling out.)
  21. "I'm fixing a hole" I'm fixing a hole where the sea gets in and keep my mind from pillaging... where it will go... i'm filling the cracks that run through the deck that keep my mind from pillaging... where it will go... and it really doesn't matter if i'm wrong I'm right, when i'm at sea I'm right, when i'm at sea... see the redcoats standing there who disagree and never win and never ask me why i'm at their door? i'm painting my flag in a colorful way, and when my mind is at sea, that flag will fly... and it really doesn't matter if i'm wrong I'm right, when i'm at sea I'm right, when i'm at sea... see the bluecoats standing there who disagree and never win and never ask me why i'm at their door? i'm taking the time for a number of things that weren't important yesterday and I still go... I'm fixing a hole where the sea gets in and keep my mind from pillaging... where it will go... (EDIT: spelling error!)
  22. (Note to mods: please leave this in the train tech forum, as it is be Harry Potter related, but it is more of a train build than anything else. Thanks in advance!) Since the rumor is that Harry Potter is coming back this summer, but without the Hogwarts Express. I thus made my own, but we will see if it gets built in real bricks by summer..... HP universe / Film History: Leaving from Kings Cross' Platform 9 & 3/4 to Hogsmeade Station at exactly 9 AM, the Hogwarts Express carries students (and sometimes faculty) to and from Hogwarts' School of Witchcraft & Wizardry in the Harry Potter series of books and movies. It has been seen in every Harry Potter film, from it's first appearance in the beginning of Philosophers Stone to it's last at the end of Deathly Hallows. (part two) The Hogwarts Express is usually only in the film for a short while, and it is generally a pleasant journey from Kings Cross to Hogsmeade, although Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and a certain Flying Ford Anglia might beg to differ! The Hogwarts Express is usually made up of four corridor passenger coaches, although sometimes a special fifth coach is attached with an open floor plan. The train is supplied with all kinds of goodies and sweets, from Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans to Chocolate Frogs. The locomotive is a heavily modified version of LDDModelmaker's Black 5 model with some parts from set 79111, Constitution Train Chase. The tender features a three wheeled bogie design modified from the one in Anthony Sava's ALCO MRS-1. The middle axle moves side to side, as to allow going through switches and curves without issue. The numbers 5 9 7 2 go on the sides of the tender... it's not prototypical, I know, but it works well enough. Also, The boiler is a modified version of set 79111's Constitution steam engine. In this false-color image, the red parts slide, the blue ones stay put to allow for the loco to go around curves and switches. (BTW: There are parts underneath that keep the sliding bogie from falling out.) The train is currently made up of five cars that are slightly different than the actual British Railway MK I coaches used in the films. The Hogwarts Express is usually made up of four corridor passenger coaches, although sometimes a special fifth coach is attached with an open floor plan. Also, the end car is not accurate to the films, but is what I prefer to the alternative: a gangway leading nowhere with no red light on the end. the baggage / coach car (known as a combine) three regular coaches guard coach This was made by me in Microsoft Paint sometime in 2014, and was based off a image from a Google search of the Hogwarts Railways logo. EDITED 7/4/2017 to bring up to date with new pictures and ldd file. Model to be built in real life sometime around Christmas 2017. EDITED 1/19/18: Since the rumor is that Harry Potter is coming back this summer, but without the Hogwarts Express. I thus made my own, but we will see if it gets built in real bricks by summer..... Any questions, thoughts, or complaints are welcome!
  23. My rule of thumb is that I use 8 wide for bigger US post-1930 steam engines (2-10-4, 2-8-4, 4-8-4) and 6 wide for pre-1930 smaller steamers (4-4-0, 2-6-0, 2-8-2, 4-8-0). All my diesels, and most train cars are 6 wide as well. Some of my UK trains are 7 wide, but none are 8 wide. I also use two studs (that's three studs away from the actual rail) on either side of straight track clear of stuff and 13 bricks high in the center to allow trains to get through, like on tunnels and bridges. However, I only do one studs from the track (two from the rail) for stations, so that pedestrians have a reasonable distance from platform to train.
  24. That's a good idea, i'm thinking about bringing it to a Gateway LEGO Users Group (LUG) display in October at a 12 inch gauge steam railway. Thank you! I'm thinking about adding more details, but personally I think it looks good the way it is. Also, I think my brother designed that pool table. I bought it off him a while back and never had a place for it... until now.
  25. Thanks, and sorry for the late reply! Thank you! If you liked Lord Sinister's car, please check out his house; http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=113860
