Not ten months after I gave up the idea of doing a System scale Naboo queen's cruiser with space for minifigs, hachiroku24 knocks it out of the park with his excellent build, Nubian Royal Starship MOC. This video is his build: Using spare parts and wrecking my old build, I pounded my version of this MOC out last Saturday, squeezing some light grey bits from other builds. Even though I've only used about maybe 60-70% of the original build, the result is stunning. A long awaited piece for the Phantom Menace display. I am sorry that I forgot to remove the distracting blue decals from the Mandalorian speeder parts while taking these pics - will take more pictures soon of this build as I try and swap out parts to improve it over time. I was able to get the base pretty close (except the nose) and the top, but took many liberties, especially with the underside and interiors. As for the middle, the original build uses two plates for reinforcement but since I am desperately low on light grey wedges I tried to make it work with only one plate thickness. Really happy with the 4 small interiors - throne room (Queen Amidala from Gungan sub can only lie down with the lid closed), cockpit for Ric Oliee, Droid bay with a little hyperdrive build in the middle and the loading ramp. I sacrificed a bit of slope here to accommodate my interior. Still need to install some landing struts for the underside. Love hachiroku24's use of the flat 3x3 macaroni piece on top and bottom of the cockpit. It really pops from all angles and this build is swooshable as hell! Looks so great next to the N1 cruiser. This is an inspired build, and I'd like to send a special shout out to hachiroku24 for sharing this and other fine builds on his channels. -
When minifigures do some bad thing in your LEGO city, you need minifigure policemen to take care them. In order to let minifigure policemen response in time, they need a police car. This moc has the functional hood, doors and trunk. The Dreadnaught Class Heavy Cruiser is a Star Wars warship well known from the lost Katana Fleet of the Thrawn Trilogy. At 600 meters, it was roughly half the length of a Venator and could be configured with varying combinations of turbolasers, point defense cannons, and missiles. Most of these would be located in the hull "blisters" similar to Mon Calamari ships. I was recently acquainted with the cruiser as I'm reading through the Thrawn Trilogy (Half way through the second book at the moment). Not the most sophisticated-looking ship, but a fun one to design nonetheless. As usual, it's designed to 1:2600 scale. Some additional views in the spoiler below...

TURTLE TANKER (NEW) Hello again everyone After re-watching some of this prior to watching the new series I decided to go back and update some of my old Clone Wars models from a while back which were originally posted on the From Bricks to Bothans (FBTB) board. As I said these are not new models but have been updated for new parts which were not around when these were first built. The original versions of these were built way before the Planets Series so I have also had to buy the figures. The old versions can be found here (with some very bad and grainy photography!): http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=140779 TWILIGHT First up we have the Twilight - The Twilight was a Corellian G9 Rigger-class light freighter owned and operated by the Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker during the Clone Wars. Skywalker and his Padawan, Ahsoka Tano, used the ship to escape from a battle on Teth. The original version was grey and sand blue but I decided to ditch the sand blue tints. I also updated the top cannon as the 1x1 brackets were not available when this was first built – just the neck bracket piece. I also wish they would bring the old fingered hinge plates back as I still have old grey ones for the bottom wing as they are the only piece that work so it can fold up properly. These are now rare but are very useful for mini builds as you do not have to add an extra layer of plates for imperial shuttle/Skyhopper (hint) wings for example. It shows my age that luckily I have a few of these lying around! TRIDENT Next up the Trident - the Trident-class assault ship, also known as the Trident assault ship, was a model of aquatic gunship manufactured by the Colicoid Creation Nest. They were used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. This one is so old the cheese slopes were not available when it was first built so I have used the cheese slopes to update the head to give it a more rounded appearance – previously this had a jumper plate and a tile where the cheese slopes are. I have also updated the “limbs” with the 1 x2 plates with handles and clips, replacing the old finger hinge plates and also added the tooth pieces and added the round tile for the cockpit. Those cone pieces are still not both available in normal red though so dark red it has to be! Meh. BTL-B Y-WING STARFIGHTER Thirdly we have the Republic version of the Y-Wing Starfighter. The BTL-B Y-wing starfighter was an assault starfighter/bomber that flew combat missions for the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars. This did not have a major overall – mainly new white pieces as the old ones had yellowed. I have added some of those curved 1 x2 slopes which weren’t around and a couple of the round plate with a bar which are very useful for cannons on minis! The shape of the nose has been built using the horizontal hinge plates instead of wedges so that is only 3 studs wide. HYENA DROID BOMBER Lastly, for this post, the Hyena Droid Bomber - the vulture droids big brother. These were droid starfighters manufactured by Baktoid Armor Workshop. They were designed for heavy ordnance bombing runs. Based on vulture droid designs, Hyena bombers had wider and sturdier hulls with huge wings to gain stability during flight. This one had the most drastic rebuild as I rebuilt the centre section completely. Instead of the 1x2 slopes with grilles I have used the new 1x2 curved slopes for the heads both on top and underneath. I also made the centre section a stud wider. Let me know what you think. Hello all. This will be my design for the Arctic Contest, the "Arctic Cruiser". It is an artcic cruiser that can quickly transport people from one place to another over snow and ice. There is room for 3 (including the driver). He can move very quickly (unfortunately the Lego engines are not, but imagine that) over snow and ice. The Arctic Cruiser is controlled with the Control+ app. For this I use the "Audi RS Q e-tron". Unfortunately the pictures are not that clear as the weather here is quite rainy. There is certainly no snow at all... This was the idea I started working with. Arctic Cruiser I'm a bad builder when it comes to vehicle bodywork. I don't have many orange and white bricks either, so my Ford Raptor was torn down to have some orange bricks. I started with the drive and almost immediately came to the white motor wheel in the track. Fits exactly in the tracks. I think I reassembled it 10 times, but here is the result. Tracks For those who recognize it, I copied the principle of the gull-wing doors from the old 8466. Gull-wing door For the steering, I once again fell back on the tilting chassis, which works fine. At first when the images for the Imperial Light Cruiser were released at first I was very excited, because I didn't have a Star Destroyer style ship, but once I looked more closely, I was quite disappointed at how it looked. I understand it's a playset first etc, but the biggest issues to me were how wide the front gap was and how high the bridge was. Mixing between the Arquitens and the 546 Cruiser is understandable at this scale, especially if using promo images etc, but the proportions were so off for both. I've tiled off more of the surface of the cruiser. The spine is now 3 studs wide and the bridge is lower. I refuse to use stickers so for the windows I represented them with clips. The ship is already very sturdy and can be "swooshed" by holding the sides so personally I didn't see the need for the handle taking up all the space in the bridge (and making the proportions off). The bridge is held on with 2 studs and inside there is enough space for a couple of figures sitting down. I haven't decided what to do with it but it will either be Dark Trooper storgage or Grogu's cell. I wanted to keep the spirit of being a playset so I tried to find a way to add a Dark Trooper drop mechanism but due to the large wedge tiles making up the base, there was no room for an opening door. You can also see I have tried to angle the ship behind the docking bay a bit more. H The Gankona (Japanese for "headstrong" or "stubborn") is our recreation of the Teroch-class Mandalorian cruiser as designed by Ansel Hsiao (also known as Fractalsponge). Ansel is an artist specializing in hard surface modeling and vehicle/spaceship concept design. His work is truly amazing, and many of you may already be familiar with his work as our Proclamator-class Star Destroyer is based on another of his original creations. Please visit the hyperlinks included below to view and support his work. The Teroch is evocative of everything Mandalorian. Meaning “pitiless” in Mando’a, the Teroch is designed for full frontal assaults, reflecting the Mandalorian single-minded focus on offense with little thought for retreat or defense. Featuring a narrow attack profile with the vast majority of weaponry facing forward, only one turret is oriented purely for rear defense. In a frontal assault the Teroch brings five heavy turbolasers and four quad turbolaser batteries to bear, allowing it to quickly wear down enemy shields. Two concussion missile launchers are located on either side of the ship’s neck for close-quarters combat. The Teroch’s size allows it to maintain a full squadron of Fang fighters. Often manufactured in conjunction with their motherships, these renowned fightercraft are deadly in the hands of experienced Mandalorian pilots. When engaged in frontal assault, the hangar bay housed within the neck of the ship grants launching fighters a measure of protection against enemy fire. Of course, with all crew and passengers in full beskar with jetpacks, who needs fighters? Aware of the ship's vulnerability against coordinated fighter attacks without a full Fang complement, engineers designed a unique anti-fighter defense system. A rapid-fire launcher mounted in the ship’s nose is capable of launching specially-modified seismic charges, mining an area of space. Charges are detonated remotely, discouraging tight knots of fighters and instead forcing enemies to spread out, making it easier for Fang fighters to engage enemies and complicating approaches by enemy bombers behind fighter screens. The Teroch’s massive engines grant it the maneuverability to efficiently keep targets within forward firing arcs, while two Class-I hyperdrives allow for quick redeployment against new threats. A highly manueverable corvette with complement of two Hylopetes-class starfighters. Standard crew complement of 7 bridge officers, 3 pilots, and 3 maintenance droids. Armament includes 4 heavy plasma beam cannons, 4 light plasma beam cannons, and 6 point-defense ion burst turrets, and 4 graviton torpedo projectors. Weapons and engines are both powered by a Callisto Shipyard's Mk. XLII Stellarator. Play features include: - Functioning turbolift allowing crew members to traverse the change in local gravity between decks. - Pull-out bed in the brig allows for both efficient space utilization and humane treatment of prisoners. - Fully retractable forward hull sections provide access to the bridge and hangar deck. - Removable roof on the middle hull sections provide access to the turbolift. - Retractable walls in the rear hull section provide access to the reactor, maintenance bay, and brig. Other notes: although this was created in BrickSmith, besides the extravagant choice of brick colors and light-up features, the entire ship is structurally sound and should be physically realizable in a different palette. Hey everyone! Just posting an update on my MC75 Profundity. My original version used some technic liftarm supports at the front of the ship that obscured the lower command fin and wasn't as attractive. After trying a bunch of options, I've settled on this design as a balance of structural support and appearance. It's probably slightly less stable than the first version due to having one fewer support point over a smaller base surface area, but the ship isn't really designed for swooshing anyway, so I'm pretty satisfied! I additionally made some parts changes to reduce rare part usage; the new version also cut maybe 150 bricks overall. I hope you like the changes! Although there are a few different variants of the ship that showed up in Rise of Skywalker, this is the base design as seen on-screen in Rogue One, commanded by Admiral Raddus during the Battle of Scarif. Although Rogue One and some online images were used occasionally for scale/size reference, I mostly used the MC75 model from the board game Star Wars Armada for the design (a fantastic board game for anyone interested in strategy games). Part count: 3,294 LEGO bricks Dimensions: 32 in. L x 7 in. W x 15 in. H The original version took about six months of off-and-on design work to finish in LDD. I spent another four months testing the new stand for the update. Stud.Io was resisting while the PDF instructions manual was generating, but it got there eventually. The Profundity is designed to-scale with LEGO's new ISD (#75252) as well as most other JD MOCs, including the MC80a Home One, MC80b Liberty, and MC30c. The height of the ship was a bit of a challenge, but in the end the tall stand turned out to be an advantage for mounting other Rebel ships. Both the Tantive IV and the Ghost are designs by LEGO (the Tantive from the new ISD, and the Ghost from the Star Wars advent calendar) modded only for attaching to the model. The Tantive can be placed docked inside the hangar bay, escaping the Profundity, or on it's own independent stand. The MC75 star cruiser is a Mon Calamari city ship repurposed for combat with battleship-grade heavy armor and a large weapons collar encircling the main body of the ship. The most well-known MC75 was the Profundity, commanded by Admiral Raddus during the pivotal Battle of Scarif. Boasting twenty point-defense laser cannons, twelve broadside turbolasers, four heavy ion cannons, twelve proton torpedo launchers, and six tractor beam projectors, the MC75 was more versatile than the MC80 and easily adapted to varying engagement styles. The most notable feature of the MC75 is an armored outrigger fin extending the bridge command pod below the ship, a design choice intended to evoke the appearance of predatory fish feared among the Mon Calamari. A smaller fin above the ship housed the transmission array and primary sensor clusters. The large docking bay within the ship's nose was capable of docking ships up to the size of small corvettes (notably the Tantive IV). Although the MC75 lacked prominently displayed engine housings, twelve Kuat Drive Yards Gemon-15 sublight ion drives hidden beneath the rear armor plating allowed the MC75 to match the cruising speed of starfighter escorts. I tried to be as accurate as possible to the on-screen appearance of the MC75, but decided to sacrifice the grills in the sides of the forward weapons collar. Unfortunately the scale also prohibited adding the 8 smaller sublight engines in the rear of the ship. Clearly the model isn't a 'swoosher,' but overall it's remarkably sturdy! Honestly the test build went much smoother than expected, given the complex angles and the continued presence of gravity (haha). It took about twelve hours to assemble using Stud.Io and making corrections/fixing errors; should be significantly less using the manual. Thanks for looking - hope you like the design!

Hi everyone, I have build my own version of the 6492 Hypno Cruiser. It is motorized and I will add an IR receiver for the kids at Lego World next week. Here is a picture from another angle. Hello to all, I am new here and wanted to share my very first creation with you. This is Toyota Land Cruiser FJ70 pick-up. I build it by using bricks from following sets 42000,42030,42042,42043. I took inspiration from RM8 creations but also in the past I was driving this car quite a lot in raw conditions and I have big sentiment related with this Toyota model. Pix and Video are not pro quality as this is my very first approach to build and share LEGO creation so please don't judge me too harshly form this point of view. I hope you will enjoy looking at this model. In the near future I have plan to make simple video how to build it. To avoid another long time MOC in WIP Nirvana I started this time with little help from LDD. Dimensions, main frame, angles... took me about a year to set these parts. Because of the LDD file I generated instructions and and part lists for me. On the picture you can see an early version of the ship and one of the latest with much more details. For the moment only one digital render of the ship. There will be some adjustments/tweaks in the "real" version but most of it works fine for me. The goal here was to build a MC80 flagship for my Rebel fleet that was: a) As closely to scale as possible with 6211 Star Destroyer. b) Larger (longer) than any of my other Rebel capital ships i.e. Phoenix Home or Tantive IV. The result is below, a build I will continue to preen and cycle out better parts/colors for. I think there should be a smattering of more small orange pieces. I am more concerned with how it looks on the shelf now than with any screen accurate considerations. But it does scale very nicely with the Star Destroyer so far (pic to come). The engines are a little... large. Truth is, those blue minifig stands for Lego Dimensions are way more useful to me in a build like this. I will likely shrink the main rear engines somehow but I also need to figure out how to add the other dual engine pods on either side behind each large shuttlebay. There isn't any inside space, but I do display it with my A Wings, B Wings and next to the bridge part of 7754 Home One Mon Calamari Star Cruiser so it looks good with lots of Rebels hanging out in front of it. Would like to hear any suggestions builders may have on improving it. I was only using my spare parts for this so I could certainly invest in some better components for it someday. After a looong time, I finally finished it! This is the Thunderwasp (from Thrawn. Apologies if it does not look like it) which measures about 5/6 the length of the SSD Executor. Hi everyone, I'm back with some new old creations! Those are models that I built between 2008 and 2011 and which have now been disassembled. This is my Midi-scale model of the Acclamator-class assault transport seen in Attack of the Clones, the outstanding Dark Horse "Star Wars: Republic" comics, the 2003 Tartarovsky Clone Wars cartoon, the 2008 Filoni Wars cartoon, and the videogame Empire at War. I built this when I was 13 or 14 years old, so please don't be too harsh on me, I like to think I've improved since then. This Classic Space ship was built for my brothers' fleet by me. The windscreen is not available (yet), but it does come on a 2017 not-yet-released Star Wars set. I believe I am the first to use that cockpit for a CS build. This ship features six guns and five crew members, with seats for each inside the easily accessible interior. The front of the ship should feature one of this print. The model has two smaller boosters and one (quite large) engine made of 20 smaller ones. The front canopy and the middle roof lift away individually to reach into the crew areas. Each of the five crew members has a seat. Behind this leaded glass resides the nuclear fusion reactor, the heart of the ship. The five brave crew members, one of which should be wearing this uniform instead as the ship's commander. I don't know if this one will be built in real bricks, to tell you the truth, as my brother may or may not ever build it. (But if he doesn't I will someday!) -

Upon receiving the 2016 Clone Turbo Tank I soon became curious of it's potential. I had seen rather negative reviews with the Tank as the subject matter, and soon became worried that I had made an unwise purchase. However, I happened upon BrickBros UK YouTube channel and soon thought of an idea. Perhaps I could turn this around. Using pieces from the Clone Turbo Tank I began work first on a Venator-Class Star Destroyer. Within a short period of time I became convinced that this particular vessel wouldn't work, so I decided to start over again and attempt a Pelta-Class Frigate due to the 2016 Rebel Combat Frigate being on my mind. Once finished and run out of plates I glared down upon my abomination and decided that I would rather see what Eurobricks may try. So here I leave you with a quandary. Imagine: The Galactic Republic ordered a shipment of cruisers from Kuat-Drive Yards to be delivered to Coruscant. Upon arrival it became apparent that there had been some sort of misunderstanding: the shipment contained only Turbo-Tanks! Instead of succumbing to dread, republic engineers decided to use the parts from the tanks to construct the cruisers they had ordered. Your Goal: (If you choose to accept it) Construct an alternate vessel using ONLY parts from the 2016 Clone Turbo Tank. This can either be done in LDD or reality. Upon completion upload an image (or more) to this topic. I suggest for the LDD creation that you use the following file: Clone Turbo Tank Sadly, due to my economic status there will be no prizes for a "winner." However, the best looking ship will most certainly join my fleet of Republic Vessels. The following vessels would be appreciated: + Consular-Class Cruiser + Pelta-Class Frigate + Aquarius-Class Light-Cruiser + Acclamator-Class Frigate + Venator-Class Star Destroyer I would share images of my failed attempt but I fear that its disturbing complexion my cause a disruption in your appetite or cause nausea.
