  1. Hi everyone! Not so long ago, I presented a WIP project I was working on, a 2WD Drift car. So the question is, why am I showing you this model. Actually, the best answer would be that I gave up too fast on the previous one and immediately move to the smaller scale. During building this model, I came to the realization that the problem with drifting in the previous car was not with tires (although suited drift wheels are much better), but with the floor I was testing it on. From that moment on, I was testing the model in a different place, where the floor is made out of wooden panels. Features Locked 4WD with different speeds on axles(front 1:1, rear 1:1666) Positive caster angle Working front and rear lights suited for Lego Regular Lego 49.5 mm wheels (15413+56145) Opening trunk Powered by RC setup (with gyro function - helps counter-steer) Design After the first failed attempt to build a drift car fully out of Lego bricks, I still wanted to use rubber tires and achieve my goals. In the time I was starting to build the model, there were at least two similar cars posted, which reminded me about @Anto Hoonicorn MOC. I wanted to preserve his idea of front axle in my MOC and enhance my model by giving its rear axle faster rotation speed, thus making it slip faster. The source of power still remained in A2212 BL motor, in the drivetrain you can see that it was geared down by planetary wheel hub. Model is steered by geek-servo directly connected to the axle, which controls the steering rack.   2. Hey guys! I present my new model, a BuWizz 2.0 powered Baja Truck! It features: Independent double wishbone front suspension, with servo steering and positive caster for better return-to-center Live axle rear suspension, powered by a buggy motor and BuWizz 2.0 My goal with this truck was to make a small, lightweight truck with excellent offroad capabilities and smooth suspension travel, while also giving it a realistic look with the least number of pieces. Overall I'm quite satisfied with the result!   3. kinda bumped into this by accident but i thought it would be worth sharing. Its a small mcpherson design with adjustable toe in/out and caster, steering works fine regardless. wheelbase is pretty much unaffected. srry for the crappy pics.
  4. My dream Porsche lives in the spirit of the 914 and the 924: A compact, lightweight, mass-market, rear-wheel-drive sports car.   5. After trying out the BuWizz with a big 4x4 offroader I decided to try the other spectrum - speed. For this purpose I designed a very simple, but robust racing car. The main features: - Rear wheel drive powered by two RC motors - Rather hard independent suspesnion on all wheels including realistic caster angle in front for best directional stability - Use of old x873c01 hubs for lowest possible wobble and friction - 4 point reinforced suspension for highest steering accuracy - 4x Tumbler wheels for highest possible traction and cool factor - 1x BuWizz running in ludicrous mode, providing enough power for the model to reach 25 km/h And this is how it works in practice: So how did the model work out? Well as you can see the racer reached an amazing speed, and survived quite many jumps and crashes. The suspension held up suprisingly well and no drivelinecomponent of the rear wheel drive ever failed, even though the BuWizz powered the motors with enough juice to powerslide the massive tumbler wheels on concrete. All in the model was a blast to drive and seeing it jump over shallow ramps of the garage house was simply breathtaking. I hope the BuWizz becomes a reality, so I can make even faster, more powerfull version of such vehicles such as rally cars and trophy trucks
  6. Hello you guys! My name is Ahmed El Shobaki, 25 years old, originally from Palestine, born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden. I've been reading through the topics for a while now in the Technic Mindstorms etc. section which led me to start a project of my own. After being inspired by very famous technic builders, namely Paul Boratko aka Crowkillers, Nathanael aka NK as well as Sheepo, I felt interested in building something extraordinary. Currently, I'm studying to become a MSc. Engineer in Advanced machine design at RIT, Stockholm where I only have some courses left before I get my degree. Enough said about me for now My project is about designing a smooth, great looking car as the fellow builders which previously were mentioned build, but I want it to be multifunctional. So I stated some criterias for the car to feature: Realistic suspension and steering (camber, caster, ackermann, multilink etc.) Front wheel driven by PF PF operated steering of wheels and steering wheel Remote controlled Fully mechanical automatic transmission. Pneumatic controlled doors with onbord compressor and remote controlled valve (open/close) PF Lights Two-seater Last but not least, easy access to batterybox as well as other functions like e.g. openable boot and hood. Three days ago, I learned how to use SR3D and now I'm almost halfway through with my model. I haven't built the model IRL, so the project can be either a real success when I finally build it or a complete failure hahahaha This is due to my regular work in the university where I'm an experienced CAD-designer and design stuff first in CAD before I manufacture something.
