  1. I intend to add racing stickers, this isnt meant to be a street car, I want it to be a cup Mustang. I want to keep all the stickers official Lego, so I'm searching around for number stickers that look right to me. I have to see what sticker sheets I still have unused in my own collection even. And I dont think it still looks like a Camaro or that it's a just Camaro with Ford branding. Leave the stickers off the set and it's just a generic race car much like the real thing, that's what gave me the idea in the first place. The next step after putting stickers on this is to do another car in an actual NASCAR livery, one of the Penske or Stewart-Haas cars.
  2. Well, the actual race cars have virtually the same body with manufacturer specific fascias that mostly amount to stickers anyway, I applied the same thinking to the set. It looks better than the Camaro imo. https://photos.app.goo.gl/2tiNtYTnTSgu1ToJ7 https://photos.app.goo.gl/6RLuTLt4TmrzDvn38 https://photos.app.goo.gl/m7qh1s8fUecUW4pH9
  3. So I had to go to 3 Walmarts before I found the Camaro ZL1 today. Plenty of other Speed Champions, but I got the only ZL1 in a 30 mile radius apparently. Swapped the stickers from 75871 on to it, it looks fantastic. I hope we get another NASCAR stock car.

    [MOC] Car Spindle

I absolutely love the use of the classic town 4 wides for this. It fits the source material perfectly.

    (MOC) Shadow Squadron Microfighters

I really like these. They remind me of the sorts of ships I built back in the 90s and 00s, especially with the Alpha Team bodies and the UFO alien head of your Falcon pilot. Back then I used a lot more translucent green though lol.

    Future Star Wars Sets

Your best bet would be to recolor the Pelta-class Rebel Combat Frigate. Given that they just made that set. The likelihood of another Pelta anytime soon is very slim, as there are other ships that need to be done or re-released. After the upcoming Resurgent-class destroyer, the Hammerheads or CR-90 Corvettes would seem to be the most likely new star ships, though I'm still hoping for an Arquitens and Imperial-I or II class as well.

Summer sets are starting to pop up in the US. I went hunting for discounted sets at Walmart today and found the Clone tank, Tracker 1, BH BP, and FO BP.

    Modified 75175 A-Wing

I have all but the original and 75150, and this is probably the least accurate of the bunch. None of mine stay stock, all of them have been modified, but this probably took the most work out of the box to get close to the right proportions. I did most of the same mods as you, minus the engine, but I did remove the spring shooters and unsightly firing mechanisms.

I still believe that SSD they keep mentioning is going to be the new canon version of the Eclipse, and I'd bet that will be the set rather than a Resurgent-class.

So for the 40th anniversary of ANH we get two Hoth themed UCS, hot on the heels of the Insult on Hoth? Granted, the Falcon can be used for any OT/ST setting, but come on. That being said, I guess that is where our missing Hoth Leia went. Now Insult on Hoth is complete.

If it were sold in stores it would be a $20-$25 set. You meant to tell me that the design process is what doubles the price of this set over that of a non-exclusive with a similar piece count? Now, if you wanted to frame your argument as them recouping costs over a much smaller production run than a comparably sized non-exclusive, I could absolutely see that, but that would still mean the price is based on the set's exclusivity.

Planning costs of the box...OK then. I think you're stretching to defend the price at this point. People are already reverse engineering it, so it can't have taken that much time or money to design.

Recoup costs on a bunch of grey bricks and plates and the same Luke and Han in production for the DS (technically just their heads and hair, as the trooper body and helmet aren't exactly uncommon)? That $40 price tag is for exclusivity. Not that I have a problem with that. It's a collectible convention exclusive. It won't be in stores and it's not aimed at kids, so what do people expect?

Well that explains the otherwise random seeming bounty hunter pack. Selling those 4 characters to us is easy, but I was curious as to how they'd sell them to children. Apparently the answer was to put them in Freemakers. Very smart. And just think of how much AFOLs complain about that line. Shame they included Dengar again though, this would have been the perfect opportunity for Zucuss, and forced people to buy the Eclipse or seek him out on the second hand market.
