Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Hi all, I figured that instead of hijacking everyone's threads with similar questions about modulars, to just create one thread where people can ask questions and the like. This way we are not junking up specific topics with questions about multiple modulars. I look forward to the discussion with everyone! ------------------------- :-: For Reference :-: We have had the following: Cafe Corner (CC) Market Street (MS) Green Grocer (GG) Fire Brigade (FB) Grand Emporium (GE) Pet Shop (PS) Town Hall (TH) Palace Cinema (PC) Parisian Restaurant (PR) Detectives Office (DO) Brick Bank (BB) Assembly Square (AS) Downtown Diner (DD) Corner Garage (CG) Bookshop (BS) Police Station (PS) Boutique Hotel (BH) Jazz Club (JC) Natural History Museum (NHM) The unique business's that have come out of those modulars are: Apartment (MS) Apartment (GG) Apartment (PR) Apartment (DO) Apartment (AS) Apartment (CG) Apartment (PS) Art Gallery (BH) Art Studio (PR) Bakery (MS) Bakery (AS) Bank (BB) Barbershop (DO) Book Store (BS) Cafe (CC) Cafe (AS) Dance Studio (AS) Dentist (AS) Department Store (GE) Detectives Office (DO) Diner (DD) Doughnut Shop (PS) Fire House (FB) Flower Shop (AS) Garage (CG) Gas Station (CG) Grocery Store (GG) Gym (DD) Hotel (CC) Hotel (BH) Jazz Club (JC) Laundromat (BB) Movie Theater (PC) Music Store (AS) Natural History Museum (NHM) Pet Store (PS) Photo Studio (AS) Pizzeria (JC) Police Station (PS) Pool Hall (DO) Recording Studio (DD) Restaurant (PR) Tailors Workshop (JC) Town Hall (TH) Town House (PS) Town House (BS) Veterinarian (CG)
  2. 10243 Parisian Restaurant $120 10251 Brick Bank $140 10255 Assembly Square $200 Need to make room on some shelves. All are adult built by me. I think only once. Instructions included. No boxes. Paypal only and would like to keep them in the US to save on shipping costs. Sets are still built so pics are no problem. I will keep them built on shelves till paid for.
  3. We decided to divide the LEGO 10251 Brick Bank into 2 separate buildings. The bank became Umbrella Bank This is the second building, which contains the Laundromat and an apartment with full interior. The apartment contains an elevator, rehearsal room, kitchen, bathroom/toilet, 2 bedrooms and a living room. It's not presented as an apartment with a family living there, but more as scenes that might happen in a LEGO world. Our version does not have much in common with the original version of the laundromat, except from the interior and a few details from the facade. The main colors are dark azur, dark blue, black and silver. Though it's a modular building, the size does not fit with the official modular buildings. It's 26x26 studs and 75 cm tall. This is the first of hopefully many tall modular buildings that eventually will form a street in our LEGO layout.
  4. Our Christmas project was an XL Brick Bank with full interior. Illumination is next on the wishlist. Happy New Year (DK_Titan & DK_Atlas)
  5. I finally managed to make a HD-video of the new modified XL BrickBank in my Lego Modular Square. I hope you like it!! For this Modular Square i used a total of 19 modular sets. The first three modulars are in their original size. All other 8 modulars are XL versions, each made of two sets. The footprint of the whole square, including its buidlings counts almost 62,000 studs. The measurements of the square are 336 x 184 studs, equal to 2.62 x 1.44 meters (=3,8 square meters), or 8,6 x 6,0 feet (= 51,6 square feet).HD
  6. Hello, The new brick bank built ! I hope you will enjoy. Finn.
