  2. Hi Everybody, I want to document the way of the FOENIX - Warrior with LEGO Bricks as a MOC. The FOENIX - Warrior is a combat Fighter against injustice. The idea is to build LEGO MOC Vehicles, which the FOENIX - Warrior uses, to fight against injustice. Here is the first Review:
  3. Hello Eurobricks! My, so many excellent vehicles have been submitted for my consideration that I just can't choose! I'll have to prevail upon you helpful members to assist me in this task. If you could vote for your favourites I'll know which one to use. As I mentioned earlier, I'll be visiting First place choice in person. The lovely runners up will of course have a lovely hat and my warmest regards. There are just a few things to consider when voting : - Voting Rules: You each have Three (3) points to award. Only members who joined before 1st March 2018 will be eligible to vote. Please state entry numbers and the amount of points you award ( For example: 1 - 2 points, 7 - 1 point) Voting closes on the 10th of May . So, take a look at all these fine vehicles. 1. 7. The sign-up deadline for the next Adventure MRCA and Trade MRCA is February 25, midnight, anywhere in the world. ---------------- Players can sign up for both the Adventure MRCA and the Trade MRCA, but individual ships can only participate in one or the other, not both simultaneously. To sign-up for the Adventure MRCA, read the rules here and then sign-up via this form. To sign-up for the Trade MRCA, read the rules here and then sign-up via this form. For a ship to take part in either MRCA, it must be licensed. You can license your ship under the new ship rules via this form. ---------------- NEW RULES: Raise the BLACK FLAG! When a player submits his/her MRCA orders and wishes to go "all pirate," but not have it reflect on the faction, he/she can choose a new "black flag" option on the ship's MRCA order. All ships listed on that order will then, rather than be considered Sea Rats (or whatever faction the player is from), be considered “black flag” pirates. Once a ship has been registered as a “black flag” pirate AND committed an act of piracy, it retains its “black flag” status until some external event (capture, trial, pardon, etc.) wipes its slate clean. A player won't be committed to being a pirate going forward, but each black flag ship will be. Note that this requires players to follow the honor system and continue to check the “black flag” option for the ship in subsequent MRCAs (until we have a way to track it automatically). The MRCA forms will also have a “black flag” targeting option for players wishing to hunt pirates. Note that black flag pirates will be distinct from independent pirates. Also note that the MRCA forms have not been updated yet, so if you plan on raising the black flag on a ship this month, wait for us to update the forms before you submit your orders use the ship license form. Repairing your ship You have probably noticed the "damaged" results in the MRCA results the last few months. To this point, it has had no effect on the game. Starting this month, damaged ships will incur higher upkeep costs the month they are damaged. There is no need for players to do anything, just know that your maintenance costs will reflect the cost of repairing the damage. FYI. ---------------- Help Wanted: Players who have some time the two weeks after the MRCA are asked to help out with the AMRCA. The Adventure MRCA requires some GMing, and the more help we have, the quicker we can turn things around and keep the MRCAs on a monthly schedule. Contact @Bregir or @Legostone if you're interested in helping out. ---------------- Consult this map for trade zone numbers before submitting any forms: And here are the trade values as of February 6, 618. 9. So, I've been pretty miffed about dolls since they came out. I actually was pretty interested in the friends set as a concept as there is a market for it, I just think the dolls were a misstep. Elves, on the otherhand, made dolls even more of a misstep, turning it into a tragedy. For background, I love fantasy, and I love Dungeons & Dragons, and Tolkien, you get the idea. For a while, we've been rather deprived of a proper fantasy setting, and I feel elves could have alleviated to downright fixing this problem. However, I feel that the potential of the theme was diminished when they decided that Dolls and the more 'cutesy' molds would be an integral part of the theme. I don't dislike, in fact I heavily approve of the color decisions, both from a moc perspective, and a theming one to depict a more fantastical and fey fantasy setting. Hell, I'll probably pick up these sets at some point when depicting my D&D groups going through the feywilds! The hair pieces they went with are perfect for stuff like Eldarin, Wood elves, and high elves, even more D&D style gnomes in their younger years (if you haven't picked up on it yet, I'm always hoping Hasbro sells of Wizards of the Coast so that LEGO has an excuse to pick up D&D as a theme!). But going back to the dolls themselves, they lack a great amount of customization (I'm pretty sure the forums have threads on this already), and I feel were a wasted opportunity for more minifigure designs: heads, torsos, legs, accessories, all muddled by introducing the dolls. At least the hair is compatible. I understand that LEGO is trying to vie for a share in the girl's toy market, but I feel that it's not the best way to go about it. For one, they isolate a lot of the LEGO market by using the dolls in the first place, as I know some AFOLs don't like using them as they have very little range of setting or look. Why did LEGO decided to place dolls in one corner of the market when they could have made a really appealing all-rounder simply by using regular minifigures and more interesting molds? Do the dolls have more fans than I give credit for? So, I guess the reason for posting this is, do you think LEGO will come out with a new fantasy set soon? I know Nexo Knights had a really small wave that probably marks its end (didn't keep up with news if it was cancelled or not), and how long is Elves lasting? Are they going to release more Tolkien universe sets with the new Netflix show? Are they ever going to make a new original IP or revive Castle in the near future? I'm not caught up in the current rumor mill or what's been revealed for next year, so I'm wondering if any of this has been addressed recently.

  11. Episodelist: Episode I ~ Samson Brody < you are here Episode 2 ~ Fonticulus Episode 3 ~ A Blessing in Duisguise Episode 4 ~ The grotto's Episode 5 ~ Captive of the Mardierians Main characters: Alfie Fraunces, Sea Rats Samson Brody, unaffiliated scientist Captain Le Faou & his comrades Corrington naturalist turned privateer, whom will be discovered in the coming episodes! "Gold? Here on the Crag? This is surely nonsense Samson. You came all this way to find.. to find what exactly?" A stern sea-rat coxswain told Samson Brody in Alfie's Place while drinking heavily: "How do you plan on finding this lake anyway? It'll take weeks to even map this dreadful rocky island." "What a pity, you are not the man nor do you have the stomach to lead an expedition.", Brody told the first mate irritated. "Gold?"~ Alfie Fraunces joined the two, who where enjoying themselves in his cafe. His men already told him about a Corrington-looking dandy who arrived in The Sereen Cay. "Alfie my name is. Welcome on the Crag. You where discussing?" Alfie spoke in Arlinsport dialect, the place Brody originated from as well. Hearing a fellow countrymen Brody answered: "A man of the fatherland, I hear! A fine establishment you run on this island sir. Very nice to meet a countrymen in a place so far from civilization indeed. I was just narrating the chances this island has to offer!" "Here we go again.." said the first mate before sipping his last bit of Trappist beer and leaving. Alfie was quickly interested and invited Brody to his office upstairs. There the two spoke about the legend of the Corrington Naturalist turned Privateer who was last seen on the Rock. The Naturalist was, according to Brody, and old friend of him years back on the university of Arlinsport. The story goes he left this earth and his treasure in a secret cave inside the Rock. A cave hard to find and harder to leave... Since the surface of the Rock was very difficult to enter and to investigate, Brody needed more men. "Hard to enter. Harder to exit. The perfect hiding place for a lifelong earned stash of gold mr. Fraunces! We will surely find whatever is on this island together!" smiled Brody. Little did they know, someone was eavesdropping... The uninvited guest of the conversation knew Alfie was up to something. And this particular pirate was know as capt. Le Faou. Le Faou and his crew where waiting for their ship: which was being repaired in The Sereen Cay after the tsunami in Mesabi Landing. "Listen up boys. We are bored out of our minds here. Today I passed by the cafe and overheard Alfie Fraunces talking to a real fancy lad. I swear they are up to find something and I intend to find out what it is. I say we we follow 'em, wait our time, and put them in the ground after stealing all valuables! Who's with me?" The End - For now. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hi all and I hoped you like the introduction to a story I tend to build up in the coming months. In this community I value the high regards to quality over quantity accompanied by a good story: and I want to contribute. Landscaping is not my talent and therefore I thought a story in the Rock would be a good place to train my Moccing skills. Architecture I like much more, and I want to try new things as well as good old nostalgic aspects of LEGO pirates, as some here know. So constructive criticism is always welcome and enjoy the story! Much more is coming! An overall view of the last vignette:
  12. Hey everyone, here's a new thing I'm making: To be continued (soon!)... EDIT: I just realized there's a subforum for comics, I'll post this there, maybe a mod can remove this one. Sorry about that!
  13. Hello everyone. I haven't been out of the dark ages for long - just 3 or so years. Although the Millennium Falcon is what dragged be back into LEGO, my passion has always been with Classic Space. I've spent ages (literally ages) creating this base. I submitted it to LEGO Ideas last year, and then proceeded to making massive changes to it. I have submitted the modified version it to Lego Ideas recently, but would really value a discussion about it with people on this board :)
  14. Adventurer in Gnarled Forest This vignette is a tribute to LEGO Universe. It depicts a chunk of the pirate-themed world Gnarled forest, and a brave rookie who's going on an adventure on his first day of play. Provided that he survives his armourless journey, this fella will be a perfect Venture League recruit! For those that have never heard of LU, it was a massively multiplayer online role playing game (mmorpg) that released in October 2010 and got closed in February 2011. It is without a doubt the most ambitious Lego game ever; it had a multitude of inspiring fantasy worlds, quests, factions, minigames, in-game Lego building spaces, never-seen-before gear and one main goal: defeating the evil Maelstrom. You can check out the , the gameplay trailer and the wiki. Two promotional sets were released: http://brickset.com/...e-LEGO-Universe .On a side note, Thanks for looking, C&C appreciated!
  15. Flameo my fellow Avatar fans, I’m a huge fan of ATLA and I need your help. Recently I have submitted a project on LEGO IDEAS, it's the Spirit Oasis from Avatar: The Last Airbender. As you might know LEGO IDEAS is a website which allows users to submit ideas for Lego products to be turned into potential sets. So If my project reaches 10.000 supporters it may become an official LEGO Product. Many Avatar Fans including me would love to purchase another LEGO ATLA Set since the original sets from 2006 are not available anymore. Check out my project: The Spirit Oasis Project on LEGO IDEAS All you need to do is press the support button and create a free LEGO Account if necessary. Thanks a lot, Every supporter counts!
  16. Welcome to the Jackal Staff Oasis! Deep within the sands of a long lost desert, the glittering oasis beckons. Rising amongst magnificent date palms and tranquil, lotus-covered pools, is a fabulous temple containing the vast treasures of the surrounding kingdoms. Young Amata has been sent to retrieve the fabled, powerful Jackal Staff contained within this lush paradise, to bring back to her kingdom in need. I built this MOC digitally about a year and a half ago, with the intention of using it as a contest entry, but then ended up not using it. Later, I revived the design and built it in physical bricks. The model has 1522 bricks total, and measures 12" long, 15.6" wide, and 8.9" high. My favorite part about the whole build is the garden in the front with the water features and the palm trees. A close second would have to be the columns for sure! More pictures can be found in our Flickr album! https://www.flickr.com/photos/orientexpress24/ This MOC is currently up and running on LEGO Ideas! Any support would be greatly appreciated! The sign-up deadline for the next Adventure MRCA and Trade MRCA is January 8, midnight, anywhere in the world. If there are any issues (typo, wrong number of points or other issues) with this process, PM @Legostone. Note that the MRCA signup form still doesn’t have raids added yet, so if you’re interested in conducting a raid this turn, PM @Capt Wolf. If you’re just going to be trading, you can go ahead and fill out the forms normally. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Consult this map for trade zone numbers before submitting any forms: IMPORTANT: Note that if you click on the above map to go to one you can zoom in on, there is an error on the linked map (zones 10 and 11 are mislabeled). 20. The sign-up deadline for the next Adventure MRCA and Trade MRCA is August 13, midnight, anywhere in the world. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Trade MRCA now has a new feature: RAIDS. When you fill out the Trade MRCA form, instead of going on a trade run, you have the option to raid a port. (Note: Old World ports on the continent cannot be raided.) If the raid is successful, you get a minimum of 50% of the DBs from the town bank. To conduct a raid, your ships must win a battle with the port's defenses (i.e., forts and troops). For the defender, all forts have standard ratings for firepower, "hull" strength (their walls), and troops (measured in "crew" units). The stats of all of a settlement's forts are added together, and the strength of any militia and/or troops stationed there are also added in. Standard fort stats can be found here (scroll down to the “Forts” section). Every additional 5 soldiers add 1 crew unit to the total. All three stats (firepower, hull, and crew) are used in resolving the battle. For the attacker, the firepower, hull, and crew ratings of all the ships in the squadron are added together. You may add troops to your raiding ships to increase your crew rating for the raid. For every point of cargo capacity plus the ship's class rating, a ship may carry 5 soldiers (5 soldiers = 1 crew point). For example, a class 3 ship with a cargo capacity of 4 could carry 35 soldiers (7 additional crew points). Getting there and back The attacker's ships have to actually make it to the port, and they must also plan for their escape. So... - When filling out the MRCA form, the attacker must plan a route that not only takes his or her ships to the zone of the target, but also gets them away to a safe port. (This is similar to ships that patrol for prey in the MRCA and return to their original port.) - In addition to the MRCA zones the ships will sail through, the attacker must also state the port to attack and the final port they will run to after the raid. - Also, the attacker's ships have to survive any encounters at sea they might have on their way to the target. Since an attacker might want to call off a raid if they suffer too many losses prior to reaching the target, there is a place on the raid form where the attacker can list the minimum number of ships levels that must be present in his/her fleet to follow through with the attack. If they abort the attack, the ships will just go their final destination without attempting the raid. Results Attacking soldiers that are lost as a result of sea engagements or combat are removed from the game. Defending soldiers that are lost are automatically replaced. If the attacker does not have enough transport capacity on his ships (due to ships lost during the raid), excess soldiers are left behind, surrender, and are removed from the game. If a defender's fort is damaged, a repair cost will be charged to the owner (similar to increased maintenance costs for damaged ships). If the fort is destroyed, a vignette to show it being rebuilt must be posted before the fort is functional again. (Think of this as sistershipping the fort.) At the conclusion of a successful raid, the attacker may receive additional DBs from the town bank (beyond the minimum 50% haul) depending on how many raiders survive to loot and plunder the settlement. MRCA Forms Note that the MRCA signup form doesn’t have raids added yet, so if you’re interested in conducting a raid this month, give us a few days to get the forms modified. 23. Hi everyone, here is my review of the Lego Adventure Time Ideas set. It is scheduled for release early 2017, I was lucky enough to get it early. I've had it for about a week or so, finally uploaded the review now. Set number 21308, ages 9+, 496pcs, Let me know what you guys think of the set. Overall if you are into Adventure Time, I think you will like it. It displays very nicely. The downside would be the price - it is a licensed theme, as well as an "Ideas" set, which definitely brings the price up. Enjoy!
  24. Hello Everyone, So this year I had a go at making a Brickfilm in my spare time. It's my first attempt, a street race through classic LEGO sets of the 1990s which turns into an all-out police chase! Hope you enjoy - all comments welcome! Thanks, BrickingIt24
