It appears that you have typed an extra space character to the end of your name when you filled out one of the property licensed forms. I removed the extra character from that record. Try the property listing again. The missing property should appear in your list now.

I wonder if we can get extra sharks separately through LEGO's Bricks and Pieces. I think the first big ship to use the internal Technic spine construction was the Star Wars UCS Imperial Destroyer back in the early 2000s. This would be the first ship to use the technique in the licensed pirate theme.

Are we getting less "themes"?
dr_spock replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Girls interests change by the time they get to the tweens years. They seem to grow out some types of toys sooner than boys. Do you have daughters that have gone through that transition phase? One day they love Barbie and next day Barbie is going to the donation box. -
Thank you, CopMike. The Manatee A has arrived today. I hope I assembled them correctly without instructions.

LEGO sure likes to use red for trains. We'll probably see a red train in the future.

Is the 4559 Cargo Railway based on a real train?
dr_spock replied to Carefree_Dude's topic in LEGO Train Tech
It seems like there is a prototype for anything and everything. What could have been the inspiration for the 4561? I don't remember the availability of 4559 in the USA. I was in that Dark Ages period. -
Very nice. It seems like there is a prototype for everything. Plasma cutting torch is a handy dandy tool.

There are at least 3 ways to connect the light. You'll probably need a PF extension cable to connect the old 9V to the new PF. 1. You can connect to battery box. That would give you full power light every time you turn on the battery box. 2. You can connect to the same channel as the PF train motor on the PF Infrared Receiver. The intensity of the light would the proportional to the speed of the train motor. 3. You can connect to the channel on the IR receiver not used by the motor. The intensity of the light can be control separately with the other knob on the PF Remote Speed Controller.

You basically need these components to convert to Power Functions and figure out how to cram them into the engine. They can be ordered from the Power Functions section of the LEGO Shop @ Home site.

[Question] Selling MOC Instructions
dr_spock replied to General Magma's topic in General LEGO Discussion
You could secretly mark each copy sold with a unique identifier so you have the ability to trace to which buyer an illegal copy may have originated from. Your ability to take legal action against a buyer and illegal seller for damages might be limited depending on where they are in the world. -
Thanks for sharing. It's interesting to see a Beetle there.

There is no mention of sharks in the production description up on the LEGO Shop site: https://shop.lego.com/en-CA/Silent-Mary-71042 Maybe someone can buy one on the VIP early access on March 17th and report back on the actual contents.

Is the 4559 Cargo Railway based on a real train?
dr_spock replied to Carefree_Dude's topic in LEGO Train Tech
The colours are probably not specific to any prototype train paint scheme. Maybe LEGO was trying to do Blacktron on rails or simply inverted the colours. Yellow tops and black bottoms can be found on MOW equipment and service trains. Windhoff didn't find success selling the concept for freight duty but they did well selling for MOW and fire rescue trains. There seems to be some shape and containerized cargo semblance to the Windhoff concept at the time. Windhoff concept drawing: 4559: -
You can probably defeat that by opening the box in the dark or using a frequency of light that won't activate the chemicals. Hopefully chemicals used aren't toxic. The PR can't be good for a children toy if the packaging contains chemicals.

Unfortunate Experience with Bricklink Customer Support
dr_spock replied to DrJB's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
It's in the Terms of Service link at the bottom of their home page. In the ToS, you can also find links to their various policies on billing, old data purge, buying and selling offenses, etc. At the bottom of the home page, they have some links for Sell like Getting started, Tips on selling. Read them over too. BrickLink has a discussion forum to ask questions and stuff. I guess you can weigh BL ToS and fees against your local selling options and headaches in dealing with distance problem buyers to determine if it is worth it. -
