Meant you didn't say something that is simply true, but more than true. -

This is not simply true. This is bible. I totally agree with you. What I think is: we are the super nerds. TLG is looking for the occasionals. I have one word for you: BOTANICALS. I think it says it all, right? -

I made a video on my YouTube channel 12 hours ago. It talked just about the Harry Potter promo on Aug 29th. The video is in italian, aimed only to italian people. It made 2x the views of the average frontpage post. In 12 hours. In italian. A small YouTube channel that exists just for pure fun because my revenues are less than 100€/month. And this is not bragging. This is telling: I'm the worst youtuber there is, and my videos just in Italy are more viewed than the average EB's frontpage. I think this answers your question: Forums are not mobile friendly, not at all. People nowadays are on YT, Fb, X, TikTok, Instagram... not on forums. -

I think the numbers of Eurobricks are really low. They were rocket high one day, but now, when you see the frontpage, any post goes with like 200-300 views. And it's frontpage, the most attractive section. So, what you call "very obvious" is not obvious at all after all. -

Yes, for a simple, clear, easy reason. I want to mantain the relationship with this person. EB clearly stated their relationship with TLG is over, and they are even questioning the need to spread to other brands in the forum as soon as they ceased to be a RLFM. That's a huge difference. Thought that was pretty obvious. Really, there are people making some serious heavy accusations on TLG, calling them liars or purposedly misleanding, people who belong to the staff, but they can't share the details because... why? They risk to lose something from TLG? Now that they are not affiliated? Now that staff members are publicly defaming the company? -

No, I didn't want to correct you, honestly. The thing I wanted to do is that, since you distorted what a friend of mine (even if I covered their name said still they're friend of mine), said and you would have done the very same way if someone put some other words in the mouth of a friend of yours. I didn't want to start a fight over a forum, really, that's remotely my interest. I can go on for years with discussions with people that have different opinion from mine because I find them more stimulating than opinions that I already share. There's always something to learn. There's nothing instead to learn in a fight, but the fact itself that it always lead to nowhere like you smartly noted. So since you misinterpreted what my friend wrote, I understood it could lead to misinterpretations, I clarified what I believe was obvious, and that will help future readers of this conversation. Thanks for the help. Thanks for the clarification. My bad. -

Look, I am honestly confused. Can you phrase me how can I conciliate your message with this one: that came from a member of your staff, in the same 24 hours? I really don't want to sound petty, but either you have some different stances within your staff, which is of course totally sane and respectable, but this contrasts with the idea that you say "as Eurobricks staff", or ... I don't get it. I crossed way a lot of times with you during the over 15 years I've been here and I deeply respect you. So don't get me wrong, I'm not provoking. I'm really asking: do you as EB staff have a common stance on this, or are you allowing every member of the staff to have a separate stance? -

I see that you have conveniently avoided to include the second point of my answer. -

Sorry but I'm not faulty here. Point 1: What exactly does lead you to add "by TLG"? Can't they have been taken seriously by the fans? By the media? By the public opinion? Point 2: Even if he meant "by TLG", it's however just his own opinion. Do you think this person investigated all people in TLG, or a vast majority, so he can desume their general thinking? Of course that was his personal opinion and not TLG's stance. There should be no need to clarify, do you agree? So, I beg pardon for accusing you of strawmanning, but please undestand that from my perspective, it really seemed that's what you were doing. -

Ambassadors are not TLG. They speak for their personal opinion as it's clearly staten. What benefits do you get in strawmanning? -

I am reporting the words of a Ambassador from a very famous former RLFM, that entered FanCoLab with no stress. Which one, I can't tell for privacy reasons. I inquired him on this very topic, and I quote his answer. Q: Did you succeed in migration to FanCoLab? I heard some communities were purposedly left behind. A: Fan CoLab was not designed as a way to get rid of “undesirables”. Quite the opposite: it was designed so that everyone who was already in the LAN could transition without major problems. Some people were left out simply because they woke up at the very last minute and did not have enough time to fix a few minor things that were nevertheless required even just to remain in the LAN. But they should be able to get back in very quickly without any real problem. I do think, however, that they have finally removed the Recognized Online Community category — which, if you ask me, never made much sense in the first place and was hardly ever taken seriously anyway. I believe there were only a handful of them, and they were basically irrelevant. My guess is that these communities were offered the possibility to become either a regular LUG or a Fan Media, with enough time to make the minimum formal changes required for that transition. The fact that they are talking about an “application” would seem to suggest exactly that. And if some influencers were accepted while some communities were not, then surely there was something these communities were missing that those influencers had not ignored. Instead of complaining about it, they should simply fix whatever is missing. As I said, for @aFrInati0n who asked, not only RLUGs but also RLFMs had minor to zero issues when asked to enter FanCoLab. Edit: Removed the word "LEGO" before Ambassador, because to my amaze someone doesn't know that an Ambassador does not represent TLG in any way. -

Oh so I am even a troll now? Nice, that's how moderators engage thoughts that steer from EB is sacred, TLG is the bad guy? And, to get ensured I understand you, what kind of appropriate action would be taken against such supposed troll? -

I won't derail from the topic, but there's nothing to agree or disagree. We're humans. There is never the compeltely bad guy and the completely angelic one. You accused me of being naive, and I didn't like it, so do not force me to do the same. Blame can be 99% vs 1%, but never 100 vs 0. Perhaps, you instead care a lot if you spend time replying over and over. Not really. It's more like: communities have had supports since TLG allowed them 30 years ago. 30 years ago, it was a mutual necessity. Internet wasn't spreaded the way it is now. LEGO also wasn't. So it was a mutual benefit. Today, TLG doesn't benefit all this much from local / online communities. But people want the same identical benefits as 30 years ago. And a lot of people got a lot of benefits and put them on sale on Bricklink and eBay to make money. Today I discovered it's 22 years that I use PayPal. Time passes, in the last 20 years (I opened bricklink 19 years ago) I have seen so many times that I feel nearly dumb I didn't try to do this myself too. -

Yes, and it served a purpose that you did not realize or understand. How does that story continue? That I state that I don't think I earned any right even if I did all that. Instead, I see people that do a lot less than I did to promote LEGO passion, that think they deserve this or that. That is my point. People thinking they earned some right, that they deserve some prizes. When it's all about passion. And my overall point is not TLG IS GOOD - EB IS BAD. (Because I have plenty of reasons to enlist both under good or bad either). My overall point is unless the staff shares with everybody in a clear unmistakable statement what happened there is no reason to side with either party. And thus, all the people siding with Eurobricks are doing it for bias reasons. Same as if people sided with TLG. I, instead, do not side. I said also that when husband and wife part, there's blame on both. Always. So even here, there's blame on both. Surely. Now, everybody's discussing TLG's blame. I'd like to hear also some EB's blame, thanks. -

Echo chamber. There are plenty more moving INTO LEGO, than moving FROM LEGO to other bricks. This is a reason why I stopped posting on EB. Too many delusional people that think they own the absolute truth, and the other people are biased or naive. That's luddism. People are moving onto things that are better. If you don't like something, when nearly averyone else does, it's a YOU problem. Oh, a great bias. Again. Do you know me? Do you know what I think about TLG in its overall? Do you know if I do criticize it or praise it on my socials? Bro, let's be real here. You are attacking me personally when you know nothing about me. And that's the reason I left EB. Direct attacks, not handled by the mods. But if I do look at the frontpage in the last few months, there's MOCS MOCS MOCS. No news. No discussions. MOCS. Maybe there's plenty more in the various section, but the frontpage says MOCS MOCS MOCS, prove me wrong. However, really, I repeat. If EB didn't meet some criteria, where's the problem in sharing exactly which ones why they didn't meet them (or they think they meet them but TLG replied NO) what was TLG's answer If you do defend EB without knowing these things, and then accuse me of being biased pro TLG, then I fear the bias lays all on you.
