  6. I think you can go as high as you dare to go if motor life longevity isn't part of your requirements.
  7. Hello Ray. Welcome to Eurobricks.
  8. What precedes a Dark Ages? I think losing interest in LEGO to other things like girls. Work has put a damper on creativity and building time. I don't think I'm heading into another Dark Ages since I haven't lost interest in LEGO and am still active in my LUG.
  9. Welcome aboard, Arlo. Which part of Canada are you located?
  10. You can find icons for creating the train signatures here: http://www.fa-meier.de/lego/traindepot/index.html You can use any graphics editing program like GIMP to piece them together into a single picture file to use as your signature.
  11. Spartan vacation. Day 075 of 365: Hole in One by dr_spock_888, on Flickr
  12. I am not sure how big those USB magnetic connectors are. Couldn't you mount them on top or at the bottom of the LEGO magnetic coupler enclosure? Kind of like the couplers for M.U. trains or trolley cars that have connection points for electrical signals. You may have to use thin wire wrapping wires to allow for flexing or recycled earbud cables.
  13. LEGO metal axles are chrome plated. They usually won't rust. The metal axles have less rolling resistance than the plastic Technic axles. It can be a factor if you plan to run long trains or rolling stock with lots of wheels. Baldwin DR-12-8-1500/2 Centipede by dr_spock_888, on Flickr
  14. Great video and scenery. Could the drone shoot LEGO flick-fire missles for fun? I use a 12V sealed lead acid battery power pack to run 9V trains at our LUG outdoor picnic events. It has plenty of power to run for a few hours.
  15. But can Shakespeare do this? Day 149 of 365: Enter the Panda by dr_spock_888, on Flickr
  16. Who doesn't like lizard guy? Can ice queen do this? lizard man habitat by dr_spock_888, on Flickr
  17. You can use something like RoboRemo with an Arduino Bluetooth to Infrared hack to simulate a Power Function IR speed controller and/or PF IR remote. No modifications of your LEGO PF sets are required. [/
  18. What kind of scale models are accepted in the subform? Is it vehicles centric? Do scale models such as of real buildings or 1:1 scale of everyday objects fit the criteria? How important is function? Does it need to be modeled too?
  19. LEGO Education still sells some replacement parts packs like the old Service Packs of days gone by. They don't seem to be rare colours though.
