  2. Many, many things! And I have a feeling I will change lots of things while building too. Of course I will update the LDD file and the pack.
  3. Not bad, but here are a few suggestions. If you will use the dolly inside on hard surfaces only, I suggest you to replace the double rubber wheels with 6x6 dishes, or the hardest wheels you got, so that ot goes as smooth as possible. Motorize it! Preferably with a large gear ratio, to keep it slow and smooth. Other than that good work, simple but efficient.
  4. Now that I managed to gather all the needed parts, I decided to build it live. The livestream will be active in saturday 12th march from 10:00 - 14:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00 GMT+1. More info can be found in the video below: Hope to see you all in a week.
  5. Like others said, a very clean and smooth build. Its also nice to see a fast supercar with a simple and efficient driveline. Too bad you ran out of room for a fake angine and a gearbox, but I guess you cant fit it all. Another well done model!
  6. Thanks to a good friend Quywalda (catweazel(, the pdf isntructions for this model can now be downloaded free of charge here: http://bricksafe.com...iniRallyCar.pdf Again, a big thanks!
  7. Wow, I never thought I will see raging kids AND sexist fights here... Whats next religous and political arguements? If i want to see such arguments I will just go to a random youtube video and read the comments below. People are way too oversensitive these days, the comments about selling wifes/fionces were at least for me sarcastic, and if you dont understand that, than you need to step outside in the real world and learn to about sarcasm among other things. I suggest for others to stop the chain of what you would give/sell for the set and to get back onto track. Anyone else thinks that the wheel is actually powered by the same conveyer that feeds out the material? It would be a very elegant solution IMO.
  8. How big are we talking about, how many parts?
  9. The "programming tape". Saw this one few months ago, its really awesome.
  10. Looks very realistic. Too bad about the PF components in the cab where seats should be...
  11. They are mindstorms ones. If you put double tracks on a wheel it looks really close to original.
  12. Well I think the real one has a hull too, granted not shaped as this one. And I plan to cover it up with panels or plates so it will be hidden. Well most of the wheels lego makes have a small hole to relase air out of the tyres, so I dont really trust them to float for long periods of time. The hull also has a small hole in the front, to add on that. So this model will probably be good just for short swimming trials. But it works!
  13. After skyping with a good friend of mine braker23 he gave me an idea to make A sherp 4x4. Here's the real deal: It took me an hour to make a first protoype in LDD, which you can see here: As you can see everything is built around the boat hull, so that the model can also float like the real thing. And here's the first rough build in the water: I used track elements wrapped around tumbler wheels to get the paddle shape. I will need 4 more track elements since 2 can fit with ease on each wheel: Underside you can see the reinforcments keeping the boat hull secured: So far there are soem problems with 36 tooth gears skipping under high torque which I belive I can fix by using 8L axles with stop instead of current 5,5 ones. If that doesnt help I can always use small turntables. I also need 4 more tracks, but currently I spent all my money on parts for silverfox and oshkosh 10x10, so these will ahve to wait a bit. I very surprised on how well this thing floats, but it cannot support much more weight, so the bodywork will have bo light and basic in order to keep it from sinking. Whats your opinion guys?
  14. What about calling the ToyRus and ask before you go there? I also doubt I will get one here in Slovenia, its such a small country and this is going to be very exclusive.
  15. What about using a digital tool like LDD? You can easily make an inventory of pieces and than save different versions. EDIT: Oh I see you are using LDCad, sorry missed that.
  16. I very rarely buy used sets, but just today I received 2 built 9398's. Both had some errors in the way they were built and one has scratches in front and on the top bar, but other than that they are okay. I can see which one was handled better and there are also two different versions. One has newer PF plugs with rounder ends and a different perpedicular connector next to the L motors. Also the one with no scratches was much more dusty than the other, so I uppose it was less played with.
  17. I do belive their value is going to go down now that the Xerion has even bigger, more agressive wheels.
  18. I think any way is okay, since you can always import more files/floors. I do suggest to group each floor once finished fo easier placement and handling.
  19. Hi Alex Just turn around one of the differenitals in the crawler from left to right.
  20. A bit too little focus area on the second one, you can only see one wheel clearly. But the first one is trully awesome!
  21. Thats A LOT.... You're selling them for around 12 quids/wheel? I'd be interested, but my paypal is rather low ATM, and price is a bit hight, I'd settle for 10€ for a wheel. They would be loved in my warm home... And tortured on trucks
  22. There is Lego logo, I just used too much picture cleaning, here is original: The set is definetely real, its 42030 we're talking about, not a cheap 20€ pullback racer.
  23. Hi peeps So today I was building the 42030 and noticed the battery box has several differences to the ones I owned before. 1. First of all the switch is much better to operate, it sticks in the off poistion much better and is easier to control. 2. LED is much brighter and green-ish compared to old ones: 3. The mold has been changed so that the symbol for DO NOT THROW IN TRASH is now on the other side of the battrey box. They also imprinted serial number which I think stands for 40th week of 2015, making this battery box very young 5. The arrows and the square next to the toggle switch are now textured and not smooth. I also noticed the motors having the imprinted date in the hard dark like in the third picture. The IR recerivers had same LED's as before. Here's what I DONT GET. If there is suppose to be a new PF2.0 next year, why bother improving the current, soon-to-be-outdated system? I have a feeling we have not seen the last of PF 1.0. Your opinions/experiences?
  24. No, they fall down the buckets near the top centre through the wheel and in a ramp inside the wheel which guides them sideways into the conveyer belt.
