    Unofrtunetely I will not be posting many more MOCs since I'm moving to Denmark in a few months. Having said that, i have been working on a LEGO Technic building techniques book, so I'm hoping I can finish that in time before the big move!

    Square cube law says no. Going from 1:8 to 1:6 means models are some 2,5x heavier and you start to experience issues with supporting such weights.

    ACTUALLY, a stud is around 4,85-4,90 mm. But yes, they are spaced 8 mm apart which is the LEGO's basic's grid.

    Thank you for the praise. Indeed I wanted it to be as small and compact as possible. I would love to drive it in the snow, but none stick. I have the LDD file, the only thing missing is tracks, since I was too lazy to fold them.

    You can build portal axle hubs with pin hub ports that can accept the deeper wheel version too.

    Agreed, not to sound rude either but if you build as well as you type, then the issue has to be in the model. I recommend rebuilding the gearbox.
