  1. Is this the first car transporter gang car to use wide tires in the front and have a steering system?
  2. Indeed, the axles are rounded and there's also another important fact. All LEGO parts are usually 0,1 mm thinner from (almost - doesn't apply for height for studded parts) every direction from the ideal 8 mm grid raster. That means a normal pin is around 15,8 mm long. Same applies for beams which are actually even thinner from top to bottom dimension in order to be compatible with studded plates - especially the LEGO logo.
  3. I remember Zoli on Brickshelf making some huge supercar transporters, but I can't find them right now due to issue with accessing Brickshelf.
  4. I checked in LDD, 2903 is slightly too big.
  5. Amazing idea, implementation of the actuators and of course great jov with the X-Wing with the limited parts. It's great to see some non-vehicle models and this is such an original idea, I just had to feature it.
  6. I am greateful this forum is still alive and kicking even in these crazy times. And I really think we need to appreciate good things like this community, since it's too easy to lose them.
  7. You can have half the engine driven by one side and the other half by other side. Don't think anyone would notice
  8. Looks good, the only thing i'd change is to use small red panels for the door and a sticker for a cleaner look.
  9. Also notice a new type of bushes/wheels on the bottom of the engine.
  10. Very interesting and original idea. I also agree that the release mechanism would fit more the GBC theme if it was mechanical.
  11. At least use the spur version of the 12 tooth gear.
  12. Just watched the movie yesterday, so I can safely say that your models came out great! Such a simple deisgn using rods, but it comes out really good!
  13. I think the front axle is designed too weak, it will bend a lot in real life. You need an upper connection at the sides, or at the top of the diff to reinfoce it. Also, there is an issue with your 12 tooth gear driving the 20 and then the diff. The axle supporting the 12 tooth gear is not properly supported, the whole thing can pop out under load. Also, why not use planetary hubs if the model will be motorized?
  14. Have a feeling it was actually developed for the Pokemon set, when you see how it's used, it makes total sense.
  15. I tend to support mine with a simple frame, since springs seem to lose strenth over time.
  16. It's gonna be a free digital document, nothing too fancy with an option to donate That's the plan! Thank you very much! It will be a major change since I will be limited with what I can post. So I have to make the last few months count!
  17. Unofrtunetely I will not be posting many more MOCs since I'm moving to Denmark in a few months. Having said that, i have been working on a LEGO Technic building techniques book, so I'm hoping I can finish that in time before the big move!
  18. What an amazing a cute model! Reminds me of the road runner.
  19. Square cube law says no. Going from 1:8 to 1:6 means models are some 2,5x heavier and you start to experience issues with supporting such weights.
  20. Trophy truck and Rescue helicopter Trophy truck has the following functions and features: Independent suspension in the front Live axle in the rear RWD with a fake V8 engine Steering actuated by a spare tyre in the rear Full interior with 2 seats and a steering wheel Opening doors and hood Monster livery The rescue helicopter has the following gunctions and features: Spinning rotors using a gear or a hidden rack trigger mechanism Collective control for the main rotor Winch with a ratchet mechanism Foldable landing gear Various cameras and antennas Colorful livery, using neon yellow, red, white, black Modern styling with lots of curved surfaces Video of the both models: Weight: Topic:
  21. Here are the final photos and video of the completed models. I do love these challenges, because they allow me to push myself out of the comfort zone and do something new, different and fun!
  22. I wonder if the DRS is connected to the gearbox. It would make sense! Other than that I don't see any new parts/innovations.
  23. I use LDD, which I keep updated form this source: https://www.customlddupdates.com/ I tried other programs but LDD has the most snappy interface and grid system IMO.
  24. It's really cute! Too bad there's no mirrored version of the prop.
