  1. In that case best thing for TLG to do is to stop making anything that moves becase....I dunno, you can get your fingers or other bits stuck in gears?
  2. Also my condolences for your mother. Just wanted to add, yes some people I know think Lego is childish untill I show them my remote controlled technic models... Than its cool!
  3. I think coming out as a Lego fan is not such of a big deal, compared to coming out as gay, or things like that. Still glad to hear they support your hobby.
  4. Not if a servo is used, it has the needed troque.... But still it makes no sense to make such steering because forcing servo motor when steering manually is not good. I still belive the car has an all RC mode where steering wheel and fake engine are diconnected and a full manual motor where the steering wheel and fake engine are enggaged with the drive motors dissengaged. Hence the center red switch. AFAIK ads at least by google are generated on YOUR last searches
  5. Its a perfect blend of technic hassis and model team top. Cute
  6. The cow and the classic UFO make this a really funny set idea. You got my support!
  7. Now thats what I call smooth! Amazing use of SNOT and all kinds of angles to get the wanted shape. Really inspiring.
  8. I think the smaller pump is already included, integrated and pneumatically connected in the model, all it needs is the motor to be plugged in and the battery box to be placed.
  9. The white thing is the new-ish 3L clutch catch over connector... Front suspension seems to be same on le mans racer, yes, very hard, but only a good stud of travel. Since rear seems to have double the springs, the weight there seems to be larger too.
  10. Look at around 30 seconds: The real deal seems to have a pendular front axle. I am pretty sure adding a drive would be easy, since the massive wheels have to be supported by hubs and where there are hubs you can easily stick in CV joints. But that kind of drive is only suitable for a fake engine, not real off road crawling. For that you need portal hubs and even more room between fenders! I hope Lego at least made the front axle pendular, its not a really hard thing to do.
  11. Seems there is no suspension or drive at all...here's a another video:
  12. Thanks for all the replies. I did not mean little template, but more of a limited numbers of parts that are shown when building out of a box.
  13. A noob question from a guy who's been using LDD in years, but I have a situation in which I have a model with limited amount of bricks and I wanna build alternative models. Is there any way to export my model as a template and use it further?
  14. I dont have all the parts in same colors BUT....I could give it a try? Though any other of the 4 models, especially the BWE would be easier to build because they are less finished/polished.
  15. On a closer examination of the video, I noticed the buckets are a new redesign with three attachment points, unlike 4 before. Also anyone else noticing a red 10 or 12 M axle? It could point to the Porsche being red? Or why else would it be needed in such color?
  16. Challenge accepted, fox 2.0 coming when I get a job
  17. Great model idea. Also a very eye-catching color combination. And to top of it you packed a lot of functionality in such a small model. Good luck with the competition! Just one question, how many parts does it have?
  18. Yeah if it uses the old wheel, you cannot get great steering angles with such high offset. I do hope the new tyres are nice and soft and not the hard rubbery plastic like unimog's wheels.
  19. Seeing the Go-kard using purple colored panels... It wouldnt be too far fetched it will be purple? About the gear level in the center, as I said before, maybe it switches from DIRECT RC drive motors to the sequential gearbox and fake motor. This way you have minimum amount of gear loss when driving in RC and a functional gearbox for the fake engine.
  20. I wouldnt count out new hubs yet, in the close up you can see a 6l link in front side of the suspension connected to a connector... If they used old hubs, why would the connector be needed?
  21. Do I see a servo motor? EDIT: And there seem to be new 3L axles with stops holding the front wishbone suspension together.
  22. Wow, what a beast! Here are my observations: - New wheels the size of the 8051 rims and tyres which leave lots of room inside for all kinds of mechanisms - New fender and 7x11 panels - The wheel bearings seem to be the old type, I hope they fixed the slack though... - There is a paddle style gearbox What I think: - The central gearbox shifts from RC mode to drive mode. This way the car can be remotely driven or pushed manually - I think this is going to be a 4x4 supercar but I have some doubts how the current CV and cardan joints can handle the weight of this car and RC... - Same wheels are used on the Xerion
  23. Best use of small fenders I ever saw! Well done.
  24. While ai appreciate all you hard work that wnt into this model and espceially front suspension I do have some worries about the stability of the real life thing... As other noted the front hubs, as realistic as they are would probably fall apart after a few suspension bumps. I suggest you to try rotating the hub 90 degrees and rebuilding the outer casing in that orientation. Another thing that is not very good is the spring location. Either use two soft springs on both sides of the suspesnion arm or one strong one as close to center as possible. As it is now, there will be a lot of force on one side of the suspension arm and that force will bend the arm and the springs and whole thing will work with a lot of friction... Good suspension setups are very responsive and always return to the exact same position. Having said that I really like your universal chassis idea and I hope you can work on it further - making various interchengable suspension systems for example: - low racing style - current offroad one - rock crawler live axle one And you can also maybe try making modular body parts? I have yet to see A FULL modular design with bodywork included, I think it would be awesome! Keep up the good work and welcome
  25. How is bottom part attached? Looks rather think, you sure it wont flex sideways too much?
