Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Cwetqo replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
It's true, but we will still get regulary priced modular set later that year (march-april). Edit: I just saw last sentence saying the same, so count this just another confirmation. -
Well, there are some new about new licensed theme next next (and it's not superheroes themed). Could it be PoTC? What's with next movie? Top set is supposed to be in 300-350€ range. Of course this is pure speculation. But it would be so god if we would get one big ship, or maybe Tortuga.

Regarding chopper: take rotors and tail from this: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=100897&hl= mix it with fuselage and stand from this: http://brickset.com/sets/8485-1/Control-Centre-II and you got yourself 1H2016 flagship (120€ with PF) regarding all picture-wanters: do not expect many pics. There are a lot of licensed sets planned for next year and there are no pics for those, so what we could hope for, are mostly smaller sets from 1H2016 (the biggest three being mine digger (40€), fire truck (80-90€) and Helicopter. And, before you ask, no, I dont have any pics.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Cwetqo replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I did not know that. Thank you! -
I think there is more than enough info already in first post. I think that pics reflect well enough on what we will get (small jet, low yellow minig truck, two pullback racers, big red and white fire truck etc...) Besides that, not much is known, since rest are mostly licensed sets, which are well guarded. I tihnk we can expect similar price point in H2 as this year (cca 50€, 150€ and 220€).

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Cwetqo replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
We will get new modular next spring. Most likely not only Pet Shop but also Palace cinema will be discontinued then. There is unoficial rule that no more than 3 modulars can be on sale at same time. We are having four just because Pet Shop was slow seller and there is still stock. -
If I got it correctly, helicopter could be on stand, similar like the one in control center set, which could mean that its main function would be tilting, lifting etc... of its main body. But this is just my speculation, stand could be just static piece, like on ucs models. Regarding "ucs" model: i think that such expensive set will be one-off, a celebration of succes of technic in last years. Main flagships will still stay at 170-220 euro range (next year we will get sets for 120, 150, 220 and 300 euro). It think that guys from TLG simply saw how many builders build expensive sets based on instruction from some well known moc builders and decided to give it a try. Sadly, with selling date most likely in 2H next year, we will have to wait at least until nuremberg fair in february for pics.

I'm pretty sure it's not the death star. Maybe for 2017.

Any news about 2016 UCS set? I was expecting ISD, but now with rumored Snowspeeder, it seem's like they will skip few in line (and I REALLY wanted ISD).

Uff, non-free rotating crane is "show killer" for me. It's the function I liked a lot in "A" model, because you can have leave mechanical switch always on "pump" and rotate crane with hand. -
Dont get over excited. TLG always plans and finalizes 1h and 2h sets together and they present it to large customers sometime around this time each year. Amount of people seening that information is much smaller than at (much later) retailers catalogue, also, there is far less information available, most likely just excel file with maybe few pics, but information is there and is real. I think that no licensed set pics are present at that time. I did not actually see any such briefing, but I did hear about it from reliable sources. In the past they used to have also in-person briefings in Billund where actual sets were shown, but I dont know if that is still the case.

Correct. This comes from half year report: Lines such as LEGO City, LEGO Creator, LEGO Technic, and LEGO Star Wars™ continue to deliver very strong global results. LEGO NINJAGO™, which has become an evergreen LEGO theme, also performed strongly, while new launches such as LEGO Elves and LEGO Jurassic World™ products were received very positively by children all over the world. It's not the first time. Last year we got Technic truck which was almost exactly the same as set from few ago (there were far less differences than here).

Well, I have nothing against re-releasing the set (I own original version), but I will certainly miss our each years ritual of assembling winter set at the beginning of christmas holdiays with my son. I guess ferry wheel will have to fill that gap this year, but still, it's not the same. Another thing is if they will continue with other winter sets. I hope not, beacuse it would make no sense. Ok, firts set is something special and this will make many collections more complete, but the following few (bakery and post) dont really deserve it. Hovewer, I wonder if it will repeat in some other themes, where sets form such recognizable lineup. Modular buildings off course comes to mind first, but some other would be great too, like Millenium Falcon (already rumored), Eiffel tower, Taj Mahal etc... Resellers will of course go bananas, but for personally its not a problem. I have sets for myself and I dontg care if new version is on market. I might even trade old with new, if its better (like this WTS).

What parts to buy at legoland?
Cwetqo replied to Kim72's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Where you want to go is Legoland Gunzbur in Germany. They have "Factory" there, which is actualy very large shop with large selection of all kinds of bricks sold from large bins in including solid technic selection. Price is per weight and is notlow, but shop is still very worth visiting. -
Yes. It's not completely as I want it to be, but other things have priority now.

Ship is certainly not "great" but it's ok for those who are searcing for their first pirate ship (only one you can buy MISB for reasonable price). For me it's just parts pack, like her predecessor, 6243, which i modded to 10211 size. Other are good because they are not so expensive and contain a lot minifigures, which are for me highlight of this wave (I'm bluecoats guy).

My Custom Santa Fe Super Chief 10020 In new Grey

Those for PF motors have cutouts for axles. You can put PF siding on 9V motor, but you can not put 9V siding to PF motor (axle will get in its way). -

Cwetqo replied to WhiteFang's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Another superb review! Set is also excellent, most "Ninja" of all Ninjago sets.
