Eurobricks Event 2016 - Information Topic
Cwetqo replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
Sadly, it turned out that I will not able to come. But I hope see you all in Gunzburg next year! -
I like go-kart very much - colours, concept and new parts. Also, my first (and for many years only) technic set was go-koart (http://brickset.com/sets/1972-1/Go-Kart). Helicopter is good for parts, but I dont like its shape that much. Others, I dont like, because I 'm not really fan of small Technic sets (with some notable exceptions). But, for waht they are, I guess htey look ok.

Eurobricks Event 2016 - Information Topic
Cwetqo replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
Very tempting... Regarding 40 person limit: if my family comes, but dont attend any of LEGO related activities, does that mean that just I count into this quota? -
I got info that it's going to be US Capitol, but not confirmed, so I guess that we will have to wait and see.
-
That was me. I still think it' credible, but its 2h set, so we will have to wait and see. Price point is supposed to be 100euro.

Who else here is into all sorts of themes?
Cwetqo replied to Blondie-Wan's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I can find myself in many of above posts. I came out of my dark ages because of trains: I always wanted H0 layout, but at that time I could not have fixed setup, so I decided to go with LEGO trains instead. I bought several trains, track and all creator houses. After getting familiar with Bricklink and Ebay, I of course needed to make true all my childhood fantasies and I got classic space (including 2 monorail), classic pirates, all western sets, most of larger technic sets, most of model team sets and many new sets including city, star wars, technic, modulars, ideas etc... After some time I almost got of money (not just LEGO money, but also money for "real" expenses), so I stopped following auctions on ebay, limited purchase of new sets and even sold off part of collection (including a lot of sealed sets from themes I dont collect). Currently I "collect" following themea/lineups: -all modular houses (I own all and I would not like to spoil the series, besides that I really love them) -all winter village sets (same as with modulars - have all and need to continue the series) -all technic flagships and "1H flagships"+selected smaller sets -all trains (I really love them+I have son who is even bigger fan, so I have excuse) -all "ideas" sets. I love the concept+I'm fan of movie licenses -selected city sets except firefighters and police (I have stations, ships and helicopters for both so there is no need for more) - this year I bought deep divers, last year arctic etc -all star wars OT "ships", but I recently started changing them for UCS sets (X-Wing, TIE, Slave 1). I had some of the biggest sets too (DS, SSD), but sold them off due to big size consumption) -all speed champions sets (as big car fan I just can not skip them) -selected superheroes sets (all UCS + few others, mostly for figs) -selected creator sets (lately almost nothing because designes are just not so good anymore) -all (almost) Creator Expert sets (all cars and planes, all landmarks, playground theme etc...) -all big simpsons sets -selected other sets from varios theme, like Chima, Ninjago and Ninja Turtles (mostly for my kids) A lot. Too much, but I keep telling me that there is value in it and got almost all on some kind of discount, so money is not completely thronv away. If I would need to reduce it, I would most likely still get modular, winter sets and technic flagship each year. I already stopped buying all smaller city sets, all sw besides few sw ships, almost all creator sets and many other things. I would really love to have just one theme and exploit it fully, but just can not limit myself that way. -

Yeah, my apologies for "misleading", but what I saw was very clear and coming directly from LEGO. It could be that they changed plans. It would not be the first time. A few days ago I found table with planned set retirements which I saw in LEGO store year and a half ago.. As you can see, things did't exactly go as was planned. -

New 10220 Volkswagen T1 Camper van Box?
Cwetqo replied to hwangmihee1's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I heard that it will stay on sale at least until 2017, same as Tower Bridge (which got new box too). -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Cwetqo replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I think its just wishful thinking. Information about modular in april (marh for VIP) is pretty solid, but for others, who knows. I got infrormation that we will also get new "landmark" set sometimes early next year and that could as well be on january 1st. This set will cost around 220 euro and will therefore replace Tower Bridge (or not, since it just got new box. but that would mean that sydney opera house will go). -
What do you think is the best Advent Calendar?
Cwetqo replied to 6ix's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Favorite? Fantasy era castle: http://brickset.com/sets/7979-1/Castle-Advent-Calendar and Kingdoms: http://brickset.com/sets/7952-1/Kingdoms-Advent-Calendar Pirate is also cool: http://brickset.com/sets/6299-1/Pirates-Advent-Calendar From City, this (it's got nice train and is dominantly police or fire like some others): http://brickset.com/sets/2824-1/City-Advent-Calendar Last year's city is also not bad (it's got best modern version of police officers) http://brickset.com/sets/60063-1/City-Advent-Calendar From Star Wars, this year's is the best (it's got Jawa, Ewok and Stormtrooper) The rest are ok, but also expensive to get. I dislike Friends because of low number of minfigs, so will not single out any of existing five -
75095 UCS TIE Fighter - Post build thoughts
Cwetqo replied to neoconagenda's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Same for me. After unveiling set, it looked nothing special, to simple, too big and too impractical. I already have system scale TIE, so I decided to stick with it, but after seening it next to UCS version, I decided to get rid of it ASAP and UCS TIE went on my shopping list. Only thing preventing me from getting it for new year would be if Hoth base or new DS would be totally awesome, preventing me from waiting until next holdiay season. Only thing still bothering me on 75095 is its size. That thing looks really difficult to store and exhibit. -
I've seen official list of 2015/2016 sets and it just says "D2C confidential - 249,99€" among unrelease 2015 sets. Its strange, because next year's snowspeeder is clearly named.
-
Picture could be just placeholder (I hope, because old Snowspeeder did not age well).
-
Could it be that new UCS Snowspeeder is 75144?
-
No rumor? so let's start it: there is UCS Snowspeeder listed for next year, most likely for january (or may, but ist more likely we will get DS then). Price is 199,99€ and prelim picture shows either old UCS Snowspeeder or new will be very similar.
-
Of those three skylines, two are same size and third is bigger (I think New York) I find it strange that there are news about those skylines but nothing about US Capitol Building (99,99€). No picture yet, but it should go well with white house and Lincoln memorial (proportions should be at least roughly ok).
-
Forget it, it turned out to be Ghostbusters HQ set. Unfortunately that almost 100% sur means no pirates next year.

Cwetqo replied to kelceycoe's topic in LEGO Licensed
This is very possible. I heard something about unnamed IP (meaning: licensed) theme with several smaller sets and one D2C set for 350€. From completely another source I heard that "Ghostbusters" theme is very likely to come next year, but I never made the connection. (I even speculated in pirate forum that it might next PoTC set). After seeing this, I'm almost sure that it will be firehouse. It's just a speculation, but it is possbile that we will also get stay pufft marshmellow man and some other, smaller sets.
