[COR - February FB2] Amelia Street Bakery
Garmadon replied to Mike S's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Beautiful bakery Mike, the red and white look great with that roof, and the plant outside and details inside really add to the build! I like that chimney as well, especially the way you made it come out of the roof! -
[SR - FB3] Antigone's Fury (Class 5T)
Garmadon replied to Vedauwoo's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Very nice ship Ved, great job with the colors and aftcastle, and I'll agree that those cannons look quite, erm, dangerous! I would advise trying to get the sails to bulge out a bit, maybe using something sticking out of the mast to make it look a bit more windy? Right now she looks rather becalmed. Excellent ship though regardless -
[OL - FB2] Brutus the Blacksmith of Breshaun
Garmadon replied to Capn Frank's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Neat blacksmith's Phred, the whetstone (? I'll take Captain Dee's word for it! ) is great indeed, and the building and furnace are excellent as well, even if a tad unrealistic. Very nice job texturing the ground too, I'm still wondering how you made it looks so good with so many exposed studs! -
[COR - February FB1] Woodworker's Shop
Garmadon replied to Mike S's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Very nice build Mike, I'm with Bregir on those windows - they really look great here! The yellow goes surprisingly well too, and the various articles of woodwork inside and the chandelier are excellent I would probably have put something or other in the attic though, maybe a few chests and boxes or something -
[COR - FB1] The Scribe of Arlinsport
Garmadon replied to Puvel's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Another excellent and very clean scene Puvel, great job with those walls, and the scribes desk is really nice as well, along with the rest of the details that make this kind of build pop! Awesome work! -
The Empire of Oleon: Sign-up and Discussion
Garmadon replied to Sebeus I's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
But Maxim is right, the green empire has good standings with both of the others, and will continue to have them until neither of them has a farthing left! And welcome (back) KB, glad to see you over here even if you aren't in green! -
Very nice cliffs and seaside, LP, and your dark gray border looks great with the indent and flags in the front! Excellent cottage and landscaping as well, the only thing I could really suggest right now would be to try some variation on the dark tan at the edge of the rocks which is currently all at the same height. This is certainly a great build already though, and welcome to the Guilds!

Hmm, and pirate pirate now? Nice build MKJ, I'm liking that prison wall, the headlight bricks add just the right amount of texture there! I'll agree with Kai about the cracked floor and the stairs as well, great job!

Very nice ship Faladrin, I'm really liking your rigging and sails, and it's good to see more brick-built hulls! Let's hope you can get a good Eslandolan trade run with this! I approve!

[ESL-FB4] Cotton Plantation on An Holli
Garmadon replied to Capt Wolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Very nice plantation Capt. Wolf, the cart and fence are neat, and the cotton plants look quite good as well! And those workers... I would not want to be them! My only piece of advice here would be to try a little more texture on the ground - if you had any dark tan left after that! As Captain Dee mentioned though, the way you have varied it already improves it a lot from just a plain 32x32- 25 replies

[OL Ch2a] Work for nothing
Garmadon replied to robinnilsson403's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Very nice fort Robinnilsson, and I'll agree with Blackdeath about your equipment in there! Looking forward to where you take this story as well! As to the photography, most of your close-up shots are really good, but for your overviews I would advise trying to get a better background since the creases and other things are a little distracting. A large piece of white paper or a bendable poster board would probably be your best bet -
Man riding on the air for the first time! (Alright, the first time was actually in Kitty Hawk, but I didn't feel like building a bunch of sand dunes, so the landscape looks a bit more like the second time, but indulge me and pretend you don't know that, haha! ) The plane: Orville Wright: Another Overview on blue: My entry to the Kockice Brickstory contest in the One Moment of Time category, and another venture into a different theme for me! Thanks for viewing, C&C are always welcome!

[ESL - FB1 - Class 4T2] Purple Rain
Garmadon replied to Maxim I's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Neat ship Maxim, I'm liking those cannons and your figure head, and it's great to see yet another use of that awesome CMF suit on your captain! -

Isn't that essentially what the Guilds of Historica Story and Challenge Index is supposed to be? Right now it only reaches to the first Nocty Civil War, but I imagine the rest should be there at least by the start of Book III... unless what we're talking about is something more members-oriented (I haven't checked the wiki, so I'm not exactly sure what it is like...)

[ESL-CH1-A] Silent encounter
Garmadon replied to Tiddlymouthwash's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Very nice jungle scene, the bushes and trees are excellent, and I'm liking that bit of a river too (although it would probably be a good idea to have it going somewhere, as it seems to just magically stop all of the sudden right now! ) Cool figs as well, I hope you can steer clear of those natives! -
[OL - Ch 1B] Expedition into the Mangrove
Garmadon replied to Gideon's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Excellent build Gideon, awesome work with those mangroves, and the water, sand, and posing are superb as well! And the photography, but that is a given on a Gideon build! Great touch including the wildlife too, and my only nitpick would be that some of the tails going down which don't reach the water look a bit odd. But perhaps they would all be covered at high tide? Wonderful job once again!- 33 replies

Good job using those pieces on a boat Sir Iron, I rather like how it turned out, though I do think it would be better if it were more smooth, and if the prow stuck out a bit more Those Eslandolan soldiers with the new CMF suits are super cool too!

Nice classic feel to this warehouse Sir Stig, the colors look great, and I really like your battlements as well! A couple of suggestions would be to tile or SNOT the roof and cobblestone the road or at least give it some variation, which would improve the cleanness of the build a lot

Excellent builds Kayne, lovely detailing on that arch, and very nice work with the smaller build as well! Great use of the trans-dark-clear bricks in the floor, and excellent wall too, I really like the dark brown hints in the room! Can't wait to see the Desert King taken down!
-
Very nice foliage here Dr_spock, I'm rather wondering what deal they struck at the end! Hopefully it didn't have to do with bananas though as I suspect that monkey is up to no good! My one piece of advice would be to texture the beach a bit to break up the flatness - and to watch out for that alligator!
-
Excellent ship Sebius, great job especially with the sails and rigging and the back! Very nice work with the hull and sides as well, the colors and tilting top section are really cool too
