  1. The name Mpya Stedor means "New city" ("Mpya" is swahili for "new" and "Stedor" comes from "Stede" which is old Dutch for "City") The new settlement became already quickly a famous place in Historica and after 3 years it was finally recognised as a mayor Port City! So a few hours before the Great Disturbance, Stedor was a busy tradeplace full of activity! There was even a very nice wedding going on!!! (check the movie: ) ---------------------------------------- Now: (a few weeks after the Great Disturbance) Lord Damaximus called in the Council of Stedor Lord Damaximus: => Sir Fre Poah, how is our financial status? Sir Fre Poah: => Badly Lord, it's like there is a gap in the floor and all our gold is vanishing through it... Damaximus: => Lord Tomvaximus (of Maestro): what are our revenues? Tomvaximus: => Our only revenues are the food we can sell at neighbouring cities with foodshortage... We hear the people complaining it is only fish fish and fish we can offer nowadays... All our other products are on hold... Damaximus: => How is the reconstruction of our gold mine? Tomvaximus: => I guess it will be 3 more weeks before we can start mining again and a few more weeks before the revenues will stream in... Damaximus: => Sir Gah Rydog, how is the rebuilding of our Southern Towers? Gah Rydog: => Will be a matter of days.. Normally by Thursday our fortifications are back like they should be. Damaximus: => Finally some good news... General Whisximus, Where are my troops? Whisximus: => Most of the Alleenridders and Ximian forces are still sieging Eastgate. The 1001 Tigres are on holiday at Al'Esterbroke so we don't have to pay them. The Atlarkian fleet is back in Atlarka as it is summer there and they wanted to see their wife and kids. The dragons of Drakrydar are also back home for the breeding season... => In Stedor we are using the minimum soldiers we need. The other soldiers are rebuilding the damaged parts of our city and the neighbours. Damaximus: => Tomvaximus, prepare some ships so we can send messengers to other Guilds. Tell them they can hire the 1001 Tigres as mercenaries. Make them leave our city tomorrow morning. Talking about our fleet, Admiral Bostoximus, how is our fleet? Bostoximus: => We still have 10 ships. 10 more ships are currently being repaired. The 30 other ships we once had, are lost. I am sorry my lord. Damaximus: => Council dismissed, I gonna cry some... -------------------------------------------- Lord Damaximus: => Lord Max Samu, what's up with the Ulanda thing in front of our bay, anymore news? Lord Max Samu, => our agents are doing everything they can to gain as much info as possible. It is a good thing we don't say much about it to our citizens. The first reports I get in are talking about more than 5000 soldiers, very well organised. Damaximus: => Okay, let's send an emissary to there. Hopefully they are not up to war... Max Samu: => They already sent emissaries themselves to weaker cities here in Kaliphlin. It is frightening that not one major city in Kaliphlin saw an emissary of Ulanda. The only emissary we saw was that idiot who claimed the Desert King is back. Damaximus: => I know it is frightening. That's why my messengers are not going to offer my 1001 Tigres but they are going to ask for help to our alliances in other Guilds. Max Samu: => It is indeed wise to let our citizens be unknown of the current situation. Are you going to tell your allies Stedor is bankrupt? Damaximus: => Nope. When they ask to show some money, we are going to show the money of Everlast. Thanks god that place hasn't been hit by the Great Disturbance...
  2. El Toro Bravo : A class 2A Topsail cutter After being repaired the former Oleon ship known as "La Vaillante" became "El Toro Bravo" and was given to the Eslandian Colonel Ignacio Severus to command. And she began her duty by being sent along the shores of Berelli in order to track down the pirates. I bettered the "Vaillante" I made for Challenge II and I will license her as a Class 2A vessel. I changed the colours, I change the Masts and put more in the middle the main mast. I made the rigging in order to be able to lower the sails. I think my story is well explaining how and why she became an eslandian warship... So I can license her, I never licensed her when she was Oleander. I think I can do that. If not, don't hesitate to tell me. Thank you and enjoy !
  3. This is the result of the battle Corrington lead towards the forest against the filthy human sacrificiers who rose against King Azuma and the western settlers from Corrington and Eslandola. You can see the excellent begining of this story here. I have to thank SkaForHire to let me conclude on the fate of the Eslandolan trader known as Damion Denela. A "Gift" from Corrington : While the Doctor and his companions were preparing their expedition, Felipe de la Manzana charged Basil and el Colonel Severus to organise the security of Elysabethtown. They caught some dangerous pirates near the port and managed to put them rapidly in a "cosy" cell... When a letter arrived to Basil anouncing the arrival of Lt Tanner with the Eslandolan trader Corries caught at an horrible human sacrifice. Impossible such a tader could be from MAESTRO ! Probably an independant merchant who thought he would make more money being out of morale... After a few days, Lt Sully Tanner arrived with the prisoner solidly chained up. "Right in time ! Thought Basil. We have some pirates who are bored of our new prison..." Basil showed the way to the prison to the Lt Tanner. 'Hang on "Shrimp" encouraged the former pirate captain. You are not going to die !" - Shh. Someone ! The pirates looked at the opening door. "Let me unchained the prisoner and put some handcuffs, it will be better, isn't it ? Said Colonel Severus to Lt Tanner. - Yes of course you're right. Answered the Corleander officer. "I would like to thank MAESTRO and your leaders to have kept an open mind. Of course Corrington is not accusing the Eslandian Company to deal with those filthy barbarians !" Conclude Lt Sully Tanner shaking Basil's hand. - Thank you to trust us. I hope this incident will help our countries to be better allies in the future. Perhaps we will help you to lead some military revenge against those dangerous men !" Answered Basil. And they through the poor merchant at the mercy of the pirates prisoners into the cell... "HELP ! They will kill me !" yelled Damion Denela. The guard did not answer... I hope you'll like this (rude) scene. It is inspired from a book I recently read : Le Déchronologue, a French mix between Sci-fi and Piracy. A good read ! and an horrible prison scene !
  4. A Shipyard and a payment : While the Doctor is preparing his expedition, Felipe de la Manzana received some news from his Ténotclaxcan friend Pinya. She taught Felipe the Ténotclaxcans managed to catch an Oleon ship when they repeled them at sea... The ship was not in good status but was still seaworthy and with some repairs could be a good warship. The ship name was "La Vaillante" So Pinya gave the ship in order to pay Felipe the service he is offering to the tribe by sending them the doctor. Felipe was surprised and managed to build rapidly a shipyard for Elysabethtown to make the repairs on "La Vaillante". Felipe visited the new shipyard at work just when the men, helped by some natives, began to work. So much work to do ! The mast had to be rebuilt; the sails were totally lost, and that awful yellow paint has to go ! thought Felipe when he saw the vessel remnants. Some men were not so found at work than others and prefered to enjoy good apples... The new paint had to be green ! According to Felipe : a bright green ! Once the masts rebuilt and the new rigging and sails are ready, Felipe returned with Pinya admire the work. Once again, it seemed that a man (the same ??) prefered to play with a monkey instead of working... I hope you will like this shipyard. C&C's are always welcome. The ship will be seen in a dedicated topic when ready (soon !)
  5. There is a reason why the coat of arms of Elysabethtown is a "Lancer". Elysabethtown is well known for its regiment of dragoons stationed there. As horses are such an important part of life in the Eslandolan colony, the Horse Ranches are of significant importance. Just outside Elysabethtown, the Horse Ranch of Pierre de Fokker is located across a small river. Guarded 24/7 by MAESTRO soldiers against the unknown threats there possibly are. A commercial place selling the finest horses of Terra Versa! --- Note: as I never collected green plates and as I spent a large amount of brown bricks in my latest fort, I decided to build in LDD... Building with real bricks is way more easier! This will be licenced as Large Commerce property. C&C welcome!
  6. Here is the continuation of the story we started with Tomsche. The previous episodes are : Visiting a friend The house of knowledge Setting out to Elysabethtown Meeting the Doctor and his companions : The Doctor Gellibrand and his two companions Donna and Clara took land on Elysabethtown and tryed to find Felipe's new house. Seeing a guard near a small apparently brand new house, the Doctor asked him : - Tell me my dear, is it the new residence of el senor Felipe de la Manzana ? The guard stood right and answered : - Yes sir ! I am guarding the house. We heard by our Corries neighbours about some troubles from dissident natives so I have to protect el senor de la Manzana now. He is awaiting you inside. You can pass. - Well, well ! Thank you, young lad. Felipe de la Manzana was at his desk preparing his next trade run while Basil was at the kitchen preparing some refreshments for the incomers. Felipe rushed to the door when he heard the conversation outside. - Ah ! welcome to my new residence in Elysabethtown my dear Doctor... erh.. Doctor who ? Felipe missed the name of the leader of the scientist group... - Doctor Gellibrand, senor, and here are my two young companions : miss Donna and miss Clara. They will help us in our endeavor. - Nice to meet you ! - I have a letter from Lord Smaugton for you. He insured us that we have full rights to study the Ténotclaxcans in Berelli but we will need Eslandian agreement too, so if you were pleased to sign it. - Of course I will do that. Said Felipe while taking the letter. Basil passed through the Patio (courtyard) of the property to look at those corleanders scientists. "What strange idea to hire women on such a team" he thought. One of them seemed to be reading in his mind and sent him her best angry face. Basil thought he should stay at good distance from that girl. "She doesn't seem to be so friendly..." he mutered. To be continued... Here are some overviews of the house : The roofs are removeable in order to have access to the inside. A view from behind with the roof : And without the roof : The house is licensed as a small residence in Elysabethtown. Hope you like it, C&C are welcome !
  7. Previous part: A gift from MAESTRO for the new King After gifting the gifts to the officials of Breshaun and providing the Cider Shop with new provision, the "Prince of Stedor" sailed a bit further. After a few hours sailing from Breshaun, the "Prince of Stedor" entered a small bay and joined some other vessels laying for anchor. All of them Eslandolan... Once anchored, some small rowboats were heading of the ship. Lord Maximilian Damaximus was overwatching the arriving rowboats. He clearly heard two voices mocking eachother. Sir Edward Thomas Wilkinson de Chauncourtois was laughing with the new haircut of the young Guy K. Wyndzon. In the third rowboat, Viceroy Renato Filamento was listening to the two others, while his eyes were focused on Lord Maximilian. They will never be best friends since he had a crush on princess Margot for such a long time. But he had to put his pride away, politics was much more important than a lovestory.... Inside the "Prince of Stedor", the guests and Maximilian started drinking applecider. Even they all were rivals, there was a good atmosphere. After some good laughs, Renato bounced his hand on the table. R: "Let's start the discussion" M: "indeed, so we all agree I may assume, as you all made the effort to come to here" All: "aye" G: "Perfect, so how are we doing it? We can't ask if he steps down..." E: "No, indeed, I fear it will be throug military actions" R: "We can't attack those bloody royalists on the old continent, they are too strong there. If we want to make a chance, we will have to take control over the New World settlements." M: "last time I saw the New World capital, it was filled with guards" G: "I can take care of that. Money does a lot... But we still need other soldiers as well..." M: "You see "Margot"? 80 Elite MAESTRO Soldiers are in it, as well with 40 reserve soldiers" R: "120 men? Where in Hades Realm found you them?" M smiled E: "So no actions in the Old World?" M: "Considering your power in the old world, I would propose ot keep you army stand-by. You never know if we need them. Guy, you have to take care of the diplomatic consequences of our actions. If I am right, you are going to Mardier soon. I hope your visit will be fruitfull and you will find allies there..." R: "So then we all know what to do..." All: "Long live Eslandola!" After the two Tradelords and the Viceroy disembarked, Maximilian went to his Cabin and looked to the maps of the New World. Soon he will give orders to his army. If everything goes as planned, Eslandola will become a true powerfull nation again. Provision: Elysabeth and Tomvaximus MAESTRO Explorer Jan Zwartbaard Bow Middle ------------------- C&C welcome! She will be licenced as a Class 5 T2. With some minor modifications, she can easily be a Class 5HA as well. Maybe when the class 5+ classification is known, she will be classified as a class 6... Licence chart: MAESTRO ESL: 0 (2 shares) MAESTRO COR: 50 (1 share) Maxim: 150 (3 shares) Legostone: 100 (2 shares) TitusV: 50 (1 share) Tomsche: 50 (1 share)
  8. Eslandola galleon in sight! Breshaun life stopped for a second, some heads turning to the port. Indeed a proud galleon entered the harbour. White painted, green flags on top. The ship didn't steal its name, it was surely a prince. 3 rowboats left the "Prince of Stedor" and headed for the quays. Meanwhile, some Oleon officers and royals arrived at the MAESTRO commerce house, as it was here where the rowboats would go to. Lord Damaximus was looking around him. Breshaun is such a nice port, so vibrant ... . But also so full of soldiers. Everywhere he looks, he sees marching guards. Luckily MAESTRO is always welcome in Breshaun since they opened a cider shop on the quays. The best cider in the world, made in Elysabethtown from the apples of Felipe de la Manzana. Giving a gift to an official for the new king Philip of Oleon. Long may he reign! ------------------------- C&C welcome!! I am going to licence this as medium commerce house. Am I right that Oleon pays me back half of the licence cost as it is located in Breshaun?
  9. I've lately been thinking about how we, as MAESTRO, should expand our fleet - many more small ships just take up so much space! So I decided to let our best shipbuilders help design a ship which can help us to deal with that problem. They have come up with one of the biggest ships I've ever seen, it is just about the same size as the Margot, but this is not a Warship! It is a ship meant for carrying a lot of cargo while still being able to defend itself against most enemies. At least I hope so, considering she is armed with 24 guns! She'll be commanded by Captain Lamar Evercrees`. Now we just have to wait for our order of sails to arrive to send THE PRIDE OF ELYSABETHTOWN off to her first journey! So, time for pictures - just 5 of them for now, as it got knocked over by the wind while I was taking these and I have to fix some stuff (and the wind got even worse, so...): (Maxim, please use this picture for the index) So, now its time to wait for the new classes as this ships doesn't fit into the current ones. I guess it could be something along the lines of 8T or similar as the current tradeships tend to have a gunrating 2 levels lower than their class. With the bowsprit she"s roughly a meter long, just barely fits in my window where she'll be sitting. I haven't decided if I want to make sails for it, I feel like my typical sails would just downgrade this ship. I'll see about that. The rigging will stay as it is as it already kinda survived falling over and being covered by a blanket (which it was standing on). Rigging is a pain as some of you should know ;) Credit goes to many people: Captain Green Hair for his tutorials and encouraging me to go with red gunports and many more hints he gave me Maxim I for building the Margot and inspiring me to build a double decker with CGHs technique Bregir for encouraging me to not go with a partially disarmed ship of the line and instead build an Indiaman (and some more shiptalk) MAESTRO for support Sebeus I for his amazing stern designs which I used to build mine Many more shipbuilders who's builds I used for inspiration
  10. Fort Severus, Fishers'Cove, Berelli After the diplomatic interviews in Berelli between Corrington, the Ténotclaxcans and Eslandola, Felipe de la Manzana agreed with Lord Erie to build a fort that could oversee all the island for both Corrington and Eslandola. So Felipe asked a brilliant eslandian officer, el Colonel Ignacio Severus, a renown fort builder and a great miltary officer, to help him. Severus decided that the center cove of the island known as fishers'cove could be the best place to build a fortification. It has a rocky point at the south of the beach where the natives are regularly harpon fishing, so it is the best position according to Ignacio Severus. Ignacio Severus lead himself the begining of the building. Of course, it is made in wood for now but when Corrington will give hand, they will help to better this structure and enhanced it. The fort position did not seem to disturb the Ténotclaxcans at all. Some are still going to the beach with their harpons.
  11. March 616 "Hoooray!!" Bells are ringing and the citizens of Stedor are running towards the quays. Cheering and chanting for the proof of the power of Stedor. A 55-gun 3rd rate ship of the line. At this moment the most powerfull ship ever seen in Halos and the first ship that will be granted a class 5+ classification! Sure there will follow other ships, probably even bigger, but this vessel is the first and will become legendary for ever. The "Margot", named after the fiancee of Governor Maximilian Damaximus and treasured like the girl herself. Admiral Bostoximus will command the ship. A bright and gloryful future is laying ahead! Side with open gunports: Side with closed gunports: Admiral Bostoximus: General Whisximus: Governor Damaximus & Princess Margot (and also King Fernando Augusto VII) Some stuff can be removed easily to have access to the cabins: Captain's Cabin: Even a whole part of the side can be removed: Looks like someone is already partying too hard ------------------ Aftermath ---------------------------- Yes, I did it!!!! 4 months work in it. The last 2 days were nothing but rigging for me... But I am soooooo happy with the result (my fiancee Margot after whom I named the vessel as well). So proud! Thanks a lot to Captain Green Hair and Sebeus I for the help and feedback! Comments & criticism welcome! Praise is ofcourse welcome! And to all (potential) enemies of Eslandola: why don't you give your ships already now? It would be a shame to see them lost in a battle due the difference in gun strenght (she should have a 13 gun rating based on the 55 guns she actually can carry).
  12. Felipe de la Manzana, after an excellent trade run, (see here for more informations) sent a letter to Lord Smaugton in order to hire scientists to study the Ténotclaxcans myths and legends. He was still hoping to find a clue concerning the Golden Apple with these stories. It was also the occasion to meet and help a new MAESTRO fisherman who wanted to settle his activity in Cocovia, the Quinnsville island, because of the known abundance of Swordfish. Felipe head sail to Quinnsville. Arriving around Cocovia, he saw his new friend, Captain Santiago. His reputation of a lucky man was true as he was already at work to catch a splendid Marlin ! The fish fought well, but the two men in their bright new skiff, La Espada, managed to kill the Marlin. The fish was bound to a hook alongside the boat and brought to the port. Santiago was awared that sharks could be a threat and tryed to eat his catch. He protected his Marlin firing at those predators with his flintlock pistol. A game that he his good at... Seeing that fish party, Felipe was happy to see that MAESTRO's investment in La Espada of Captain Santiago was an excellent idea. He decided to meet the young lucky captain to help him develop his fishing wharf in Quinnsville, Cocovia. “Luck is a thing that comes in many forms and who can recognize her?” Ernest Hemingway, The old man and the sea. This little fishing boat is a Class 0 ship (Skiff) I am licensing with Captain Santiago in command. Of course, the fishing party and the captain name are an Homage to Hemingway text. Though, I decided to choose a younger captain for story purpose. I tryed another hull technique, but the sails are not custom sails, they are old official LEGO sails. I hope you will like this little skiff.
  13. Felipe de la Manzana is on the trail of the Golden Apple. To find some clue about its location, he thought studying the Ténotclaxcans was the best idea. Here Felipe is searching for a scientific help... Heading Quinnsville, Cocovia, the new settlement of Lord Smaugton, Friend and member of MAESTRO in Corrington, Felipe encoutered a new fisherman ready to work for the Trade Company. So he managed to help him to settle a fishing business in cocovia. As he arrived near the Corleander settlement, Felipe saw the value of this new fisherman (here it is, if you missed it). So he decided to salute him and see how the business is. - Are you sure it's here ? Asked Felipe to his escort. - Yes sure, sir ! answered shortly the guard. - Ah ?! I thought it would be bigger... sadly commented Felipe. The fisher's commerce was just a small shag along the beach with a little wharf already installed. Of course, for such a young colony it was fine, but Felipe forgot what it was to settle a new town. It was his friend, Lady Elysabeth, who took the responsability of the new MAESTRO settlement in Berelli, and Felipe de la Manzana didn't stay too long in the island. So he knew few of what to do to develop a new town. The only thing he was sure of, a new town is needing money, and food ! A businees in which Felipe was master. The fishing boat was just arriving with captain Santiago. Felipe yeld a "Yohoo !" Santiago answered joyfully, the fishing party was, again, a lucky one... - Welcome Sir ! Said Santiago landing the wharf. - How do you do ! Take an apple ! Welcomed Felipe, Santiago declined the apple politely. - I thought your business was more developped here ! continued Felipe. - Ah! No ! of course not ! we are in a very young settlement here in Quinnsville. But what are you doing here ? you are not only here to see me ? Are you ? - No, No I am here to hire some of the best scientists Lord Smaugton could find me to study the Ténotclaxcans. I think they are hiding some secrets about my quest ! - Ah great news ! you are progressing though you lost the Appleseed, I thought you would let it go... - No ! I will never give up this quest ! Interrupted Felipe. - Ok Sir, I did not want to bother you... - No worry... I have to leave... I am going to see those scientists. So good luck with the fishing wharf here, and goodbye. - Thank you Senor Felipe ! Goodbye. Concluded Santiago discargoing his catch. To be continued in Tomsche part... I am continuing the mad quest of Felipe and I found a collaborative work to do with Tomsche, a.k.a. Lord Smaugton. I hope you will enjoy it.
  14. After some time around these newly explored islands we noticed that some stronger defence on the water would be needed; many Sea Rats and even some unidentified creatures which attacked our man on their small boats were around and causing our man to lose confidence that it would be a good idea to stay around these islands. Some even said they were cursed. This made it clear that we need more to defend our island than just a few man with sticks in rowboats. I decided it would be a good idea to sent a letter to one of the best shipbuilders of Eslandola if he were interested in building some sloops to defend the area. He agreed to the contract and went ahead to build this one; I've named it Arkady for its wild nature and, for its size, good armament. It even has some space to carry along some goods, which I really appreciate. Hereby I present you, Arkady, a class 2WR sloop: I sure hope his aggressive bow keeps those Sea Rats under control! And lastly, a picture of Arkadys starboard side: Not exactly relevant for this challenge, but I still feel like it is relevant, the Arkady with the rest of my fleet (including the HMS Kent/War Dwarf which is now owned by Bregir). Captain Anco Liconardo commands this vessel.
  15. This is my third freebuild this month. If you're not Eslandolan and like it, please approve. Leon sighed. Why was it always him? First he had discovered that tribe (true, that had also awarded him some praise from the Lady, and a lot of soldiers were jealous for that), but he'd prefer no praise over praise and being hung by his toes from a palm tree. By natives! But it seemed like his bad luck had not yet deserted him: today, Lady Elysabeth had an official meeting with a Corringtonlander Ambassador from the town at the other side of the island. And of course, she wanted to impress that scienceman. Typically for him he was elected for such a boring duty! Of course, in such a shape, the Lady needed protection. But why on earth had that to be in official uniform? It was f#cking more then 25 degrees outside, with a tropical climate... He heart a cough. When he lookep up, he saw Elysabeth's eyes fixed upon his face. That d#mned Lady could read thoughts! Then he saw her gesturing the Ambassador was incoming. ------------------------------ "A warm welcome to our humble settlement, My Lord Ambassador. Please excuse me for not standing up and having a somewhat more comfortable chiar, but I hope you see that my... Condition does not allow me more. But enough about me. How do make it? I hope the voyage wasn't too exciting tiring. As you know, Lord Da Manzana has already negotiated all terms of the treaty..." ----------------------------- Elysabeth was glad the Ambassador finally put his sign under the document. Altough the major work was done by Felipe, she still had to dispute a thousand little remarks. She wasn't made for this work! She was a soldier, and her place was at the frontier! Instead of that, she had to be carried around in a litter, like some silly lady at the Oleander court and be polite to all these important persons, while doing paperwork! Now she had to go drink something with the Ambassador... That improved her state-of-mind: she had still some of Manzana's apple cider left... -------------------------------------------------------------------- Just a quick built, hope you like it! This was based ion the Norse sery Occupied (Okkupert), wich I really love! With a bit of imagination, one can see the Russian Ambassy in it... I hope! And Elysabeth is for a part based on the Russian Ambassadrice. Anyway, CC very welcome! Additional images:
  16. Looking out his window, Lord Maximilian Damaximus saw the "Margot" in front of the bay of Stedor. Fully equiped with 55 guns. Although they still are working on the rigging, he couldn't wait until she was seaworthy. He sighed, last month trade run was terrible. The "Knight of Stedor" had to return to it's first port, the "Appleseed" sunk and the "Sulky Harlequin" made only 98 db's profit (divided by 10 shareholders, that was almost nothing). If he ever wanted to get a licence for "Margot", it would take ages at the current revenues. Although the "Sulky Harlequin" made a terrible run, the way CSC licenced her was an example of innovation. And Maximilian was sure the odds will change the upcomming trade run! Time to do some business with the Corringtonlalanders. At the Stedorian Quays, the "Purple Rain" was packing some tradegoods. A decent fast and well-armed ship, ready to rock'n roll! -------------------------------- Captain Matt Lenoir was looking over the stern to Stedor. His new ship the "Purple Rain" just set sail to Terelli. He loved Stedor, the white harbor, the vibrant atmosphere, the dangerously looking fortress and especially the Governal Palace on the mountain, watching over the Bay. He looked to the Licence in his hands and smiled. Finally he had a decent ship under his command! Lord Maximilian Damaximus gave him even 2 Elite Guards to protect the ship. And as it is a joint-venture with some Corrington investors, two Corrington soldiers are on board as well. Even an important Corrington scientist has aboarded to join the journey! => the Corrington Scientist => Some of the cargo (there are some of the finest Felipe de la Manzana's apples in the cargo as well, but they can't be seen in this picture) => Captian Matt Lenoir ---------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for watching!!! the "Purple rain" is a 8-gun Xebec, which will be licenced as a Class 4 T2. C&C ofcourse welcome!! Here is the list of shareholders: The terms of the shareholders (Thanks to Bregir!) Can the shareholders please confirm they transferred the 45 db's to my account? (transaction form)
  17. This is my third freebuild this month, so if you like the ship don't hesitate to approve, thank you ! "La Raenette" Felipe de la Manzana, after his wreckage, had to join Terelli where he could bought a new ship. Once in the Capital port, he managed to hire some new crewmen and found an ancient Oleon designed fast cutter for sell. He bought her and after few repairs and new sails, the ship was ready ! She was renamed "La Raenette", in homage to her Oleander origins. Felipe set rapidly sails to Berelli to join his friend Basil and to know if his diplomatic efforts had been succeed. She is a fast cutter, rapid and easily manned, but she is not very well armed. Just an old 12pounder gun is light for self defense, but with an escort, it will not be a problem. Here are the official soldiers on board making some training : Here is a seagul view : So Felipe is back for new adventures (the continuing of the one he already began...) Hope you like it. The ship is licensed as my new free license ship. It is a 1 gun cutter, it is a Class 2 F vessel. I tryed a totally new approach for this build as I go for a brickbuilt hull and a more advanced rigging than for the appleseed. I know it's not perfect but I am quite happy how it turned out. Btw, I've re-made the rigging of the poor appleseed when I built her sunk. You can see her new aspect on my flickr. Comment and criticism are welcome. Thank you !
  18. Update: Now the HMS Kite of the Corrington Royal Navy Try at least once finishing a single ship in a single day, it is fun (besides the rigging:P). The War Dwarf is a rather old war brig, brought here by the family of Monezterell brought it over from the old world as she was one of their best ships back then. Since then she had a general overhaul, as she was a bit outdated in comparision to many of the new ships that are and were being built. She may not be the fastest ship on the ocean, but she can keep pace with the majority of modern ships again. It is commanded by Captain Damian Chetham. Instead of writing more I would rather let pictures speak for me. War Dwarf, starboard side, also a general overview. starboard again, but this time a bit more close up, here you can see her broadside - 3 18 pound guns, 2 9 pound guns, as well as a swivel gun. This is mirrored on the other side. As well as that she has 2 permanent chase guns. Thats a total of 6 18 pound guns, 6 9 pound guns (the chase guns are 9 pounders too) and 2 swivel guns, a total of 14 guns. You should be able to see that there is a lot going on on board. Next we have a picture of her stern, as well as her portside. And lastly we have a picture straight at her bow, including the chase guns. Well, not exactly the last picture - there is also one together with the Wringe I and the unfished Green Winds. I'm unsure if I want to license her, I might put her up for sale - I could definetly use some more DBs:P Special thanks to Captain Green Hair for the hull building technique, it really helped. The rigging was painful (and is still far from perfect) though. Total of 12 hours spent building her. 4 of those on rigging and sails.
  19. Gods! Leon hated this place. And his luck. First that ambassady, now this... A tanner! Typically his luck. Would the Lady even know what tanners used on their skins? He was probably even lucky the streets were paved in this quarter. Elysabeth: "Leon. I know it stinks here. But were you going to knock on that door, or are we going to stand here all day? The tanner opened the door. It was the same man. Elysabeth recognized him as the person who as willing to aid a hand when that thing with her legs happened. "Greetings, tanner. My name is Elysabeth. We have to talk." -"My... My... M'lady... I'm honoured! But where are my manners? Come in, please. There is tough a small problem: the ground floor is all working area, not something I'd call cosy. Will you manage to get upstaiars, to the living quarters?" "Sure I will. Leon, please?" With a gently hand, Leon took up his mistress from her chair. He placed one hand in her neck, while one hand gently supported the weight of the casted legs. In her turn, Elysabeth put her hands around the muscled sailor. ----------------------------- When they arrived upstairs, Leon looked around where to put Elysabeth. It was clear the man was not rich: the small space was crowded with a storage room, a bed, a small table with some stools he wouldn't trust and a cabinet. The tanner seemed to sense their being at a loss, and asked pollitely wether Elysabeth would mind sitting on the bed. When she answered: "Not at all, sir." Leon put her gently in the corner. The faded blue of the bedclothes contrasted sharply with the clean white of the bandages around her legs. Elysabeth: "So. Here we are. First of all, I need to thank you. Your suggestion of a healer has proven critical in the saving of my legs. I, and with me MAESTRO, will never forget that. If there is any we might do for you, just say..." The tanner: "Ah, were that you, m'lady? I was wondering what followed of that girl after she left the healer..." His eyes flickered to the special method of healing the casts represented. "But I'm glad you're doing well, m'lady, and it was but my duty. I only wish you, and so MAESTRO, the best of luck, and would not dare ask you anything but..." Elysabeth raised her eyebrows: "But...?" "It's... Well, the... Look, m'lady. I like my job, so when being a tanner in the Old World didn't bring up enough anymore, I moved here. But life is hard for someone not belonging to a company, m'lady. The MCTC has a monopoly on cotton, and with that on clothing... So..." She nodded her head in thought. "I see... Well, I think we might be able to help you with that. What would you think of a contract between you and MAESTRO? You have your protection and a safe income, while we have a reliable source of worked skins and leather." When the tanner's eyes cleared, Elysabeth spoke again: "Do you have anything to write the contract on? Leon, would you bring me to the table please?" ------------------------------- After she had put her signil under the now official document, Elysabeth sighted of satisfaction. "So, it was me a pleasure, and the soldiers will you be gratefull for their new clothing!" Leon sighted, but not of satisfaction. Now they would have to wear things that smelled like this too! ---------------------------------------------------- I had this lying around for way too long, it was past time to have this posted. With this build, I hoped to represent the poorer people and quarters of Elysabethtown, and how these too are engaged in MAESTRO. The tannery itself can be found on the ground floor, and in the courtyard. Anyway, I hope you liked it! CC very appreciated! Additional images
  20. This is my third freebuild this month, so if you're not Eslandolan and like it, please approve. Department of Science, Elysabethtown -------------------------------------- Robert McEvan is head clerk of the brand-new library of Elysabethtown. As such, he is a member of the MAESTRO trading company, altough not in the economic branch. While it for some might just look like extra unpaid work, Robert knew with all his heart that it might be his way into natural philospohy. He had a dream to become an assistant to one of these scientists, and joining an expedition to see things never beheld before. And while he dared barely form the thought himself, somewhere in his mind he hoped one day himself to lead an expedition. ---------------------------------------- So, Bregir had the excellent idea of having new members of the society build a small vignette for their scientist. Well, here you are! Altough it is a small build, CC is very welcome.
  21. Captain Log, Day 59 : We start our run with an overload of apples and cider from our first production in Berelli and, in order to maintain our good relationships with Corrington, we joined one of their run. This Coyle Shipping Company seems to be a reliable and trustful partner, so I totally agreed to follow their lead. Day 60 : We were strongly hit by a hurricane ! The winds are terrible ! Hopefully, I saw it come in time and my crew managed to stabilize the ship in this storm. We have lost our road and no sign of our escort nor the Mercator, the Corry ship that was with us. I am afraid that the corries didn't passed the hurricane... Day 63 : We recovered our escort warship but still no sign of the Mercator. I am afraid they are lost... Day 65 : At last ! We made land in Belson. My concerns about the Mercator are proved to be true. The place reserved for this ship sharing our quay stayed desesperately empty. We started to unload our cargo in the Corrington Capital when a man head towards me and asked me to help him. He was the client the Mercator should have delivered but the ship did not reach port in Belson. He asked if he could buy us our surplus ! Of course I agreed to sell him in a totally "honest" price. It seems that Belson will not lack of Apples and Cider this month... La Raenette at quay, unloading cargo. A "honest" price... While he was in Belson, Felipe took the occasion to send a letter to his corlander friend and MAESTRO member, Sir Thomas Smaugton : "My dear friend, As you probably know, MAESTRO encountered a native tribe named the Ténotclaxcans. They are friendly but have strange habits and myths they are not ready to share with us easily. I am sending this letter to ask you some help. I know your interest in science, and specially in anthropology. So, I am asking you if you could recommend me some scientific experts in order to meet with me and my first officer the natives in order to learn their secrets. It is possible we have a hint concerning a mythical fruit I am trying to find. I learned you were founding a settlement in the new Cocovia. Is it possible for me to go there and meet the scientists in Quinnsville ? (I have a friend fisherman of MAESTRO that is interested in your fishy bays, I will lead him to your colony in the same occasion.) Friendly yours, Felipe de la Manzana."
  22. I need a bigger ship, the Wringe II just doesn't cut it. Due to this, I've decided that I'll get my shipbuilders to build a bigger ship for me. And they've succeded again! This ship is a class 3T2, a large sloop which will be a ship shared with MAESTRO and members. Her captain is Captian Nard Klein Veegevuur. So, lets see how she looks like: Lets also see her stern: And also sailing with the wind; the mast is not tipping over, thats just the perspective:P Lastly we have a size comparision with the Wringe II, as I feel like thats necessery. If you want more size comparision shots with different ships just ask;) 10 Shares:
  23. Everyone in Eslandola has been wondering for a long long time if gold could be used as an instrument. But now, finally, my engineers have come up with a way to get it to work! Hereby I present the... GOLD ORGAN It magnifies the sound of the gold and silver keys through its pipes. I hope you like how it sounds. Here it is again without me. Once I have a flagship for myself I'll for sure get it on board. But until then it'll have to stay here at the Musicians Talent Fair here in Bardo. GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD (etc)
  24. Please check out this first! ---------------- Mary had been busy examing. She was studying a extinct species called dragons. Well, it was called extinct by some, but she herself believed it had never existed! As such where here thoughts when someone entered her room. She glanced up. It was a muscled men, but if you looked at his coat of arms he was a Corringtonlander. Good! Maybe they could talk about wether dragons had ever... Wait! That Corringtonlander was not alone! Behind him came one of the localsn she thought it was a tanner... Anyway, that man she recognized. But in between them, the two men were porting someone she had never seen before! It was a young girl, and pretty one too. She had magnificent, shining, dark brown hair, in a long braid almost touching the ground. Her face was not particularly beautiful or remarkable, but quite pretty and the skin was tanned, showing that the girl was not afraid of working or being in the sun. Mary's glance glided down, to the women breasts. These were, altough not big, nice and round. She sighted. How far were the times when her breasts were round and soft! The girl's arms where covered by a light armour, she tought it to be fencing-clothing. She looked even more downwards, and saw that the girl was, surprisingly, wearing breeches! But then she looked again, and saw that the dark leather was dotted with a rapidly widening bloodstain! She sighedd again: this meant work to do! She cleaned the table - carefully storing the books about dragons away, you don't know how expensive these are! - and waved the Corringtonlander to put the remarkable girl on the tabletop. In the mean time, she started giving orders: "You, with you red coat!" -"Who, me?" "Yes, you! I want you to heat up the fire! You can find wood aside the fireplace!" "You, tanner!" -"Who, me?" "Yes, you! Go take some plaster out of the cupboard!" -"Plaster? Why would you need plaster? She has broken her legs, probably more then once, and you want pla..." "Don't complain, and get that plaster! She has indeed broken both her legs, her right one once and her left one thrice, but next time I'll do the diagnosis!" In the mean time, she prepared something against the pain. When that girl would wake up again, she would need it! Both her legs broken, and the left in no less then three places! It was a miracle the fractions were so clean and she was specialised in this, but still... While she let the girl drink, she explained to the two men what she was going to do: "So, as you all may know, she broke her legs" a lightning glare struck the tanner "and I don't know how she did it, but she's lucky: I'm specialised in broken bones, and have just invented a new way of dealing with them. It's called a cast, plaster we heat a bit so it becomes almost liquid, and we then cast it around her legs. For her left leg, we'll also include the hip, as to be sure. I'll do the plaster, you two just make sure she doesn't move." "So, let things cool down and stiffen up,and then you can take her with you. In a month or so, the cast can be removed and she'll be able to move freely again. With the old methods, this fractions would have take almost three months to heal and she would have limped for the rest of her live. No such things now though, she'll fully recover. Thanks to me!" "And I'll sent a bill later!" The new generations, hmmmm... Mary sighed. ------------------------------------------------- A really funny interior, hope you like it! CC is very aprreciated, and thanks for that on the previous MOCs too! Additional images:
  25. Felipe sent a letter to Lord Flynn before his departure to his dreadly trade run : Letter to Lord Erie Flynn, Lord of Port Raleigh, Governor of the Corrington territories of Annetta (a.k.a. Berelli) from El Senor Felipe de la Manzana, citizen of Eslandola, member of MAESTRO, Ambassador for the eslandian affairs in Berelli, and from Lady Zumo de Kapayas, High priestess of the Ténotclaxcans, representant of the chief Azuma. Copy for the archives for Eslandola High Archives and for Her Majesty of Corrington's Archives. Mylord, It appeared you have founded a new settlement you named Port Raleigh along the River Queens in Berelli/Annetta. Our two great Nations are in peace and are even more linked with the help of some trading agreements we signed from both sides. Your position in Berelli is welcome if it is made in peace. The natives of Berelli, the Ténotclaxcans are peaceful people, our Nation is linked to them by the MAESTRO company. Although some Ténotclaxcans attacked Corlanders who were bringing weapons in foraging party, our will, for both Eslandola and the Natives, is to bring you a message of peace. We are asking you to join in a Diplomatic Meeting Lady Zumo de Kapayas and Lord Basil de Eslandola, representant of El Senor Felipe de la Manzana. We hope the Meeting will be the first step in a fruitfull cooperation between Corrington, Eslandola and the Ténotclaxacans. Yours, Lord Felipe de la Manzana. And so, Lord Erie Flynn sent a Corlander official representant at the meeting : - Welcome Mylord, Said Basil and Zumo de Kapayas. - We are here in the village of Zum'heria in order to clarify the situation that is threatening peace in Berelli, or Annetta if you prefer. Continued Basil. - The situation is against MAESTRO's interests, and it's against our Nations interests. We do not want to fight against the natives here since they are peaceful peasants and fishermen. We, MAESTRO, have made an agreement with the Ténotclaxcan tribe, main tribe of the island, that all MAESTRO member and all Eslandian citizen will not bring fire weapons in the territories ruled by the tribe. We are just asking to you, from your side, to do the same : to make that every Corrington citizen will not bring fire weapons in the territories the tribe of the Ténotclaxcans is ruling. Finally, Basil read the text prepared by Felipe : - In order to seal such an agreement, Eslandola Trade Company MAESTRO, by the way of Senor Felipe de la Manzana and the Ténotclaxcans, by the way of Lady Pinya, daughter of Lady Zumo de Kapayas, are offering to Port Raleigh to build a Banana plantation for the Queen who is said pregnant and in great need of this golden fruit. In exchange of what Corrington is agreed to not armed Port Raleigh and to join MAESTRO in a global Privateering force of defense of Berelli/Annetta made of volonteers and made of Native warriors. Made the 7th of February, 616 Hope you like ! I tryed a forced perspective build in order to render the meeting less borring... By this build I am also asking to Ska if : - First : is it OK for you if I build a Banana Plantation for your settlement ? - Secondly :Is it possible to put the Ténotclaxcans officially in the map ? - Third : are you ok to build in partnership with MAESTRO some military/privateer builds ruled by the 2 factions here ? - Finally : is there a way to share between nations the fees of the common builds or the cost of the privateers ? Don't hesitate to PM me if this leading to a problem.
