Just a quick post to showcase a MOC I made earlier. The galactic adventurer, or galaxy explorer 2.0. It is based on the original classic space line from 1979, specifically the LL928 galaxy explorer. I wanted to have a beat up classic space ship that has seen a lot and is finally returning to the LEGO system to report it's finds. With minifigure brick built cockpit due to unavailability of trans-yellow windscreens. Some Greebles And an overview Hope you enjoyed Columbus

Location: B08 Greater Direstan Tags: Exploration, Land Vehicle Misson Log: Entry 24 ~ The briefing from CEO Raven was uncharacteristically harsh. I was admonished for forsaking my duties as an explorer, informed that I had no right to go around wearing blast armour and carrying weapons, and told that the shock of my injury was exactly what I needed to get back into protocol. She then congratulated me on eliminating the mutant threat. Some people.... Anyway, I was back on Greater Direstan for the third time in less than a year, carrying out a standard recon / exploration mission on a fairly ordinary speeder. Funnily enough, I didn't really miss the adrenaline-fuelled fights and chases of the last month or two - seems Raven was right about where I truly belonged. What I did miss was the companionship of my former team - Agent Kytes, Captain Askarn, Akiko.... My previous journeys and adventures with them were probably something I'd always remember. But there was a whole new world out there, waiting to be discovered, and I was in the vanguard of it.... [Just a small build this time, not much time or space for anything larger. C&C welcome.]

Planet: Donwarr Log of Agent G: Still stationed on Donwarr. I'm beginning to really dislike this planet. I was assigned to try to make peace between M.A.N.T.I.S. and the Na Vohz. When I arrived at the camp, I had probably killed half the insect population underneath my boots. You haven't experienced bugs until you've visited Donwarr, I mean, It's really spectacular, the ground is almost a solid, writhing mass of bugs, like that one scene from that old Mantiana Jones movie. Really gross. On crossing the lines into the camp, I was acutely aware of the Sliver they had on guard. The giant bugs had obviously noticed the bug muck on my boots, and they were no pleased about it. Even with my State of the Art armor, I could feel the beat of their wings, I kid you not. More on the Sliver can be found in my last entry: Log entry 100253. Thinking ahead, I had skinned a surprisingly white lizard to use as a white flag. You think M.A.N.T.I.S. would give all of their explores one, but they don't so I had to make do. Well, another interesting fact about the Na Vohz: They are devout worshippers to Maloh, the great god whose stomach we apparently all live in. It's complicated. I found that out from my last time spying on the Na Vohz. What I didn't know, was that they believe that the physical incarnation of Maloh is the rare white lizard that lives on Donwarr. Needless to say, the peace talks didn't go well, but like any M.A.N.T.I.S. explorer, I took it with stride. Oh, one more thing about the Na Vohz: they chop down an area of trees, usually in a circle, build a stone wall with one opening, and then herd their prey into it, rendering said prey helpless while the Sliver riders attack from above. Rather ingenious. - G Note to Judges: The Green bug is reused, the red bug is new. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! (I wasn't able to use my normal photo setup because it was so big, so enjoy a rare shot of my wall.) Extra Pics: The Na Vohz Sliver Bugs C&C much appreciated!

Location: B08 Greater Direstan Tags: Exploration, Land Vehicle Mission Log: Entry 25 ~ That basic speeder from last week was a little too .... basic, and I was suitably pleased when I was assigned an upgrade: the Anomalocaris light recon speeder. It was meant to bear some resemblance to some prehistoric sea creature from billions of years ago, but I really didn't care. It was sleek, fast and well-equipped to navigate the terrain of Greater Direstan. Anyway, this was when I found it. As I skimmed along a grassy clifftop permeated by caves, I saw a glint of brighter, sharper, artificial green in the grass, and slowed to a halt. To my surprise, the shattered, tarnished remains of a robot became visible, lying in pieces half-under some vegetation. The bright green eyes flickered and focused, and one of the robot's hands was raised a few centimetres, in a gesture that obviously meant Help me. Within an hour, I had it loaded onto my speeder and was heading back to base, wondering where it came from (it wasn't either an Octan, MANTIS or Kawashita make) and how it had come to be in such a pitiful state. I needed answers... Without speeder: The Anomalocaris (google it if you've never heard the name ) [C&C welcome.]

Location: B06 Sorn Tags: Exploration, Land Vehicle Mission Log: Entry 23 ~ I must have passed out shortly after the battle was won. When I came to, I found myself lying on a standard-issue Kawashita mattress inside a bunker, all alone, with light filtering through the window to my left. I realised something was wrong even before I looked down at the rest of my body. My right arm, the one which the cultist had shot, was... gone. And a cybernetic, silver appendage was in its place. Shocked, I sat up, flexing my new limb, and found to my surprise that it was not only equally functional to my former arm, but it didn't hurt at all. I marvelled at the wonders of cutting-edge Kawashita technology.... Noticing my lack of clothes, I was pleased to find a new, clean set at the foot of the bed. As I dressed, I realised that this was not the cloak and armour I had worn while hunting the mutants, but my old explorers' gear, from back before I'd had a memory loss. Even my hair had been neatly brushed back into its old shape. I liked it. Meanwhile, outside my companions had finished the mission I set out to complete. Captain Askarn had set out earlier in the morning, equipped with a Spider-class exo-suit which could grip vertical surfaces like a spider's legs. He'd been successful. The limp, lifeless form of the mutant who'd caused the deaths of three loyal Kawashita operatives dangled, in chains, below the exo-suit as it leapt through the trees and rocks of the Sorn landscape. Akiko Kawashita was the first to notice that I was standing on the platform above the base with her and Kytes, "How - how are you? How's your arm?" But Kytes interrupted her, "Good to see you're awake - Raven wants to see you - ASAP." Without minifigs/vehicles: [C&C welcome!]

Mission: Entrapment Tags: Kawashita, Exploration, Sorn Under direct orders from Raven I have arranged a meetup with Spacer Steve on Sorn. I used a Blacktron code and ID to entice him to a meeting in the swamps under the guise of selling Kawashita secrets. Little did he know I had other plans. After a lengthy "conversation" with a pair of Kawashita swords near his neck Spacer Steve convinced me that he has nothing to do with Ravens death. The ruse is still working about her being still dead. He still refers to her in past tense and has explained in detail how the explosion occurred and how he was not the fig spotted on security cameras. I should kill him now, but my training is kicking in, and I know in my heart he is not the guilty one. He could have rambled on and explained who it was and he was never there but he has explained he knows but cannot say at this time because it could hurt his corporations standing. I believe he wants help, but not officially. I will have to trust he is telling the truth, and believe he will lead me to those responsible.

Location: F09 Arium Minor Tags: Exploration, Land Vehicle Mission Log: Entry 21 ~ It was time to bring out the big guns, as Agent Kytes put it. We chained our captive mutant to one of the troopers assigned to our squad, and set off in hot pursuit, with it as our "guide". HQ assigned us to a Kawashita Armoured Troop Transport (KATT). Akiko, who is an excellent shot, took the gunner's position atop the vehicle, while everyone else piled into the back. After a short distance, Ekira (who was driving) caught sight of what appeared to be some sort of alien concealed in the sand. I got out to investigate... As we set off again, Akiko hailed me from her vantage point, saying that she could glimpse smoke on the horizon. I sensed that, for good or ill, our planet-wide quest was about to conclude... That was when the world began to whirl and spin around me and a weird purple light filled my entire vision. Then nothing. The KATT C & C welcome. Apologies for the picture-heaviness

Location: F10 Arium Major Tags: Exploration, Ground Vehicle Mission Log: Entry 19 ~ Determined to avenge Agent Sharpe, we doubled our speed, using a Deathstriker exo-suit for these purposes. It wasn't long before we came across an abandoned Octan speeder - and its occupants, who were currently in the process of being dragged off, screaming, by three oddly garbed figures.... We jumped into action. Octan may not be our best friends right now, but we couldn't just stand by and do nothing. While Ekira took the flank, I set the Deathstriker's mounted guns and handcannons blazing. The figure at the back toppled over with a cry, but the other two managed to escape with the Octan employees... Ekira knelt to check the figure's pulse, and found it to be dead, instantly killed by my shot. But when he turned the prone body over, we were horrified. It was physically identical to our missing mutant - but its garb and strange, curved sword showed us clearly that this was not the same creature. Could there be... more of them? As we considered the options, we received a transmission from Agent Kytes. He explained that he had managed to gather reinforcements and was on his way when he saw an alien craft leaving Arium Major, headed for one of the nearby planets. We all agreed that this craft likely contained both our mutant and the two unknown figures who had abducted the Octan employees. The hunt was on! The Deathstriker mech by itself:

Mission : K-D10 The Hamilton Belt Trying to get back to work after a long hiatus I have enlisted some new employees to help with supplies. They work harder than the red shirts I have and don't seem to die all the time. Easily identifiable as not Octan or MANTIS, these orange and white uniforms should confuse everyone. They are clumsy at times though.... I don't know what is in the rocks, but I've been told it is worth something to someone I sure hope the corporation is ok with my little extended vacation I went on.

Location F-10 Arium Major Tags, Land Vehicle. Exploration We've landed and started traveling across the land regions of Arium Major. It is a beautiful planet that we have never explored in great detail before. My redshirt brigade is excited to be apart of this mission as we are on good hard ground and in a safe exploration rig. We can travel for weeks aboard the "Big Truck" since it has all the equipment and supplies to keep itself repaired and maintained in this rugged terrain. The interior has room for five and still enough space for a light recon ATV. When the trails get tough this little rig can scout ahead and find us a safe pass. With these redshirts, safety is #1. Murphy's Law struck right away for us. Just as I brag about this Big Truck being tough we get a jammed front tire and the suspension is broke. "Ok guys, we need to change out the tire for sure and inspect the suspension for damage. Let's work together and get this done so we can get back to work." "Nice and easy, lower it down slowly.....there ya go......WATCH OUTTTTTTT!!!" "Redshirt #2? You OK?" "Hey, no worries! It landed on the plants and I didn't get hurt!" "Wow, that is some luck. Sir, #2 is alive!" "Somebody by a lottery ticket!" "Sir, the wheel is bent and the suspension needs adjusting, the toe is pushed out, I need to line it up." "OK, just be careful" "LOOK OUT!!" CRUNCH!!!! "Redshirt #7, you OK?" "Yup, a brick stopped it from crushing me!" "Wow, lets get this fixed, get done exploring and get home before our luck runs out!" Finally we are finished with the repairs and can get back on the trail. I cannot believe I didn't lose a Reshirt today, Raven will be so proud!

Location: F10 Arium Major Tags: Exploration, Land Vehicle Mission Log: Entry 17 ~ My father filled me in on the mission as we boarded the shuttle. Exactly a week ago, a certain Kawashita Space Marine had reported into the medical centre on Orinshi with a strange malady. He said that he had been shot with an alien weapon during a spying mission on Arium Major, but he didn't know who had shot him. The medical staff had seen nothing like it, so they sent him to Avindrian Laboratories for examining. The scientists managed to extract some sort of bullet from the soldier's skin, but noted a strange redness emanating from the area around the wound when they removed it. Within days every patch of skin on his body had turned a deep red, and his eyes turned yellow. Upon removing his shirt, scientists found that one of his arms had developed a thick crust of red skin and his hand was hardening into a claw. The next day, he was gone. The body of a lab assistant was found in his room, clearly murdered. He'd used the assistant's security card to gain access to a shuttle; operatives tracked it to Arium Major. Paradoxically, this was where the soldier had sustained the injury. I was sent along with two special forces commandos, Agents Sharpe and Kytes, to track down the mutant soldier and bring him (or it) back to Kawashita space for interrogation and analysis. I was also tasked with investigating the origin of the bullet. In case the planet's ruling Octan council sent operatives to stop us, or we ran into hostile aliens, our party was assigned a Kawashita Search-and-Destroy mecha, equipped with the latest weapons technology and piloted by none other than Ekira Mitoshi himself. We were ready at last, and prepared for whatever fate might befall us on Arium Major. Sans figs and mech: The cast: Agent Sharpe, Dragonfire, Agent Kytes The mech: C&C welcome!

Location: F10 Arium Major Tags: Ground Vehicle, Exploration Mission Log: Entry 18 ~ It was three days later when we found it. We'd given up on the Search and Destroy mech when it ran out of fuel, and had resorted to using the Spiri - a multi-functional two-wheeled monstrosity which could travel both in the air and on the ground. Its wings doubled as mudguards for its huge, misshapen wheels. Among the four of us, we called it the 'Water-Boatman'. I had sent Agent Kytes back to our command ship to fetch reinforcements - we were crossing into Octan territory, and as much as we didn't want hostilities, they might not believe the true nature of our mission. We came across a remote Octan bunker deep in foothills of Arium Major; it had clearly been abandoned for quite some time. Trees sprouted from cracks in the walls and roof, and to our shock, the skeletal remains of its occupants lay sprawled by the door and gun position on the roof. And standing over the bodies was our missing mutant. He had taken a gun from the dead Octan employees, and brandished it threateningly, screaming in some obscure language. His arm had now solidified into a claw and he appeared completely unafraid of the hulking Spiri behind us. Agent Sharpe and I advanced, keeping our weapons trained on the mutant, hoping to capture it without shots being fired.... Then suddenly, without warning, the creature flipped the catch on the gun and fired. Agent Sharpe was taken completely by surprise. He never had a chance. Seeing Sharpe go down, I launched myself at the creature, but it fled into the undergrowth and disappeared from sight before I could reach it... Sans figs and vehicle: The Spiri, aka 'Water Boatman', piloted by Ekira Mitoshi (once again!) C & C welcome!

After weeks of sailing, The Knight of Stedor arrived at a desolated beach, unknown to the current maps. Captain Ben D'anvers yelled to his crew: "Time for a break and start exploring lazy sundayworkers!" An explosion of joy was the answer! Finally they discovered an island! Once disembarked, Officer Giancarlo noticed a small wooden structure in the middle of the beach. He pointed it out to Captain Ben and together they walked curiously to the mystical shrine. "Huh, this is a strange place", officer Giancarlo said "look at that small statue with the funny hat". Captain Ben D'Anvers was looking around him. This certainly is something very uncommon. He knew there were natives found on one of the other islands closeby, but he recognised the helmet from one of his trips to the National History Museum of Corrington. "That's a viking helmet" Ben said "and I guess that blue statue under it was the original wearer of that helmet." "But it still is a strange shrine then, look at those shields above it..." Giancarlo replied. "Wait a minute, this is not just a shrine, I think we are standing on a stranded Drakar!!! That really looks like a stern of a vessel to me" answered Ben a little bit too loud because suddenly... .. Suddenly 2 norse warriors ran towards them, their weapons swinging in the air... "Soldiers! Here!" yelled Ben... Quickly 2 MAESTRO-soldiers entered the scene of action, pointing their muskets to the warriors. They never saw something like that before and thought it was just a wooden stick, so they started laughing, not at all frightened by the gunpower of the soldiers. So one of the 2 soldiers aimed for a flying bird and shot it down. Now the 2 vikings stopped and looked in awe to the magical weapon their opponent had "That was close" Ben sighed. "Thanks for coming so quicklyi" He bowed for the Viking warriors. Meanwhile one of the soldiers brought a chest full of shiny golden stuff and opened it in front of the 2 Vikings. Stunned by all the gold and understanding this act of friendship, they bowed towards Captain Ben D'Anvers and said something in an unknown language before pointing their hands to an invisible place somewhere in the woods. They started walking and guiding our explorers into the woods. The 2 MAESTRO-Soldiers constanlty watched out to ensure the safety of their masters. Giancarlo whispered "Why do you gave them gold, they are barbarians and I guess they can't offer us anything valuable". Captain Ben D'Anvers replied: "You know Vikings attacked our homelands 300 years ago. They are the ancestors of the modern day Kingdoms of The Great Raider, west of Corrington and Oleon. But they didn't only raid villages in the east, they also explored the seas west of their homeland. Somehow one of these ships has stranded here and I guess their captain died too soon, so they never had the possibility to return. If these stories are true, we may find prove the world is round. If so, they should have somewhere ancient maps of the unknown area east of where we are now. That would give us a big advantage over our competitors!" Is Captain Ben D'Anvers right about this? The future will tell!! To be continued!!! C&C welcome!!! Some more pictures:

Location: F09 Arium Minor Tags: Exploration, Land Vehicle Mission Log: Entry 20 ~ After receiving the transmission from Agent Kytes, Ekira and I took my Y-Class Shuttle off Arium Major to rendezvous with the reinforcements. Their leader, an experienced military commander named Captain Askarn, informed us that the vessel containing the mutant, its cohorts and the Octan prisoners had recently landed on the neighbouring planet of Arium Minor. There was no time to lose. Askarn, Kytes and I took the first transport down to the barren, rocky surface of Arium Minor, where we were assigned a Rough-Terrain Tri-Bike (RTTB) for ease of movement. We set off immediately... It wasn't long before we received results. A transmission came in from a Chocho rapid-response unit five miles away. We may call them Chocho, but a butterfly is the last thing they resemble. They're tall, quick and dangerous. This one reported that it had secured an unknown species of alien which both resembled our missing mutant and the creature we had killed on Arium Major. We headed to the location it described. An unfamiliar, and extremely attractive young woman dressed in Kawashita red and wearing a face-mask greeted us as we approached the robot and its prey. As we drew nearer, Captain Askarn whispered in my ear that this woman was Akiko Kawashita, great-niece to Osamu Kawashita himself and a member of the ruling family of our corporation. I later learned that she had been assigned to this mission as a test of her weapons capabilities and field skills. Sure enough, the Chocho unit had a sedated, chained mutant in its grasp; even more worryingly, its garb told us that this was not the one we sought, but a second lookalike. Could the mutation be spreading.... or had we stumbled upon a new species of alien entirely? The cast: The Chocho rapid-response unit: The RTTB: C&C welcome!
