  1. Two of the most interesting points I found discussed from that point on were focused upon the topics of incorporating Dark Turquoise (a.k.a. Teal) into the Downtown Diner and the issue of the design team's thoughts on lower priced Creator Expert sets. Apparently, Dark Turquoise was being reintroduced for the Elves sets, not the Diner necessarily; and, regarding lower priced Creator Expert sets (below the US $99.99 price range), it's not out of the question, but it does help keep the Three-In-One and Expert lines distinct. Still, regarding that last point, I do wonder if half-width modular buildings may ever be on the table for future consideration.
  2. Ah, yes, now I too remember those two from their preliminary catalog images. So...
  3. As you may have read posted elsewhere, the designer of the finalized version of the upcoming Pop-up Book had this to say regarding those projects' rejection, along with some other interesting insights: New Elementary - LEGO® IDEAS POP-UP BOOK: EXCLUSIVE SAMUEL JOHNSON INTERVIEW
  4. That I feel may be the most likely possibility, but I don't necessarily think that it would be an outright Jaguar E-Type. If anything, the scale alone of that submission was enough to qualify it as being too similar to a potential Creator Expert set, much like how modular building projects submitted to Ideas conflict with the preexisting annual line. He would've said that was the case if it were indeed, as the Chiron was announced during that very event.
  5. My first immediate thought was a rocketship, but that's just me. This is an adorable beauty @Pate-keetongu, I just love both color pairing of Sand Green with Earth Orange and the boat stud cobblestoning.
  6. A beauty indeed, an abode of Sand Green and Earth Orange accenting atop Light and Dark Bluish Grey foundations, with some excellent NPU! Upon first glance, that just doesn't look like Lego, which isn't a bad thing at all! That's rather... macabre?
  7. You must be thinking of @Ashnflash's work.
  8. These two both look stunning in the ABS! Upon revisitation, I still love their color schemes, especially the Earth Blue/Dark Azure/Light Bluish Grey one on the left!
  9. Were those to be released this year? What were they to be of again?
  10. If I were to give a good guess as to what our Creator Expert automobile set may be for this year, I'd figure it would be either a classic Porsche of some type or a classic Mack truck. We've already seen a few larger sets based upon VW Group automobiles (VW Bus, VW Beetle, Technic Porsche, Technic Chiron), and given Creator Expert's propensity for classic cars as opposed to current models, a classic Mack truck would be another good opportunity to utilize the license for that brand first used for the Technic Mack Anthem. I guess "alienate" was perhaps to strong of a word, but seeing how many of these automobile sets for both Creator and Technic have leaned towards European brands so far, I was only figuring that those brands were found by TLG to have a better chance of broader marketability on a global scale over others. I was only figuring that the prior part of your statement may possibly be the case, but in no way did I think that the others would be seen as offensive.
  11. Three reviews from @just2good for some upcoming City sets, including the latest People Pack: 60190 Arctic Ice Glider 60191 Arctic Exploration Team 60202 Outdoor Adventures
  12. How so? When did Lego officially drop the licensing agreement for BBC's Doctor Who? I think @LEGODalekbuster523 is correct in this case, as any intellectual property that has had an attached Ideas project approved for production will then be banned from being utilized again by others for their own projects.
  13. Seriously, have we ever before seen preliminary catalog images of any playsets before their presumed cancellation? That's what I'd like to know, as there was at least one other 2018 set that we only heard rumors of from the City theme, only to never see it unveiled either.
  14. Here are two blog posts that may be of interest to readers here: The Brothers Brick - Summer 2018 wave of LEGO Friends sets [Review] New Elementary - LEGO® FAN MEDIA DAYS 2018: WHAT HAPPENED Ah, yes, I've forgotten about those two.
  15. Here's a good, close-up look at that new helmet/ponytail mold, courtesy of Friends theme designer David Tauzia during TLG's Fan Media Days event in Bilund: New Elementary - LEGO® FAN MEDIA DAYS 2018: WHAT HAPPENED

  17. Excellent! My number one favorite of this contest!
  18. A true Speed Champions scaled beauty, and my number one pick for the Eurobricks Billund SC contest! Bravo!
  19. Congratulation @Bricked1980 on having this creation of yours frontpaged!
  20. Some of the other build suggestions (parts not included) are also pretty amusing, especially the second one from the left based upon The Emperor's New Clothes.
  21. I'll also say, that upon first glance, this creation appears to be too small to even fit a minifigure when its canopy is closed. But, lo and behold...
  22. Dang, scissor doors on a starfighter?! That's pretty rad!
  23. Really? If anything, this review I feel has a better chance for new approvals than the last one, because if it weren't for that Pop-Up Book project... Regarding the yearly quota for approvals, here's some interesting insight from a very recent interview: New Elementary - LEGO® IDEAS POP-UP BOOK: EXCLUSIVE SAMUEL JOHNSON INTERVIEW
  24. We could even potentially see Sci-Fi weapon packs and/or Pirate packs from this line, but I don't know if we'd see such polybags in the absence of proper themes for those.
