Survey: New parts and new colors
Digger of Bricks replied to Bonaparte's topic in General LEGO Discussion
A type of piece at times I found would be useful would be slope versions of bricks like part no. 6565/6564 and 41768/41767 (both pictured below). They could have 1 by 2, 1 by 3, and even 1 by 4 slopes as opposed to a flat side on the side changing direction. -
Survey: New parts and new colors
Digger of Bricks replied to Bonaparte's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I wasn't aware of this piece until recently, and yes, I would like to see this piece in transparent colors too! They would work great for 20's, 30's comic strip sci-fi rocketcraft MOCs ( Buck Rogers, Flash Gordon fare), especially with the advent of S17's Retro Space Hero figure! Looking around, there are not many MOCs fitting that bill around, maybe with the exception of some of Chris Giddon's pre-classic space creations. -
Currently with Disney's new wave of SW films, many have speculated original space themes may not be seen for quite some time, as presumed with the lack of any from 2002 to 2006 thanks to the SW prequel trilogy. But one type of space theme I could see possibly coexisting alongside SW currently without conflicting with it may be a space miners theme, resembling 2009-2010's Power Miners. Instead of sleek spacecraft, many of the sets would be composed of Tonka truck-ish low gravity mining vehicles and cargo transport craft. Power Miners was one of Lego's top original themes before Ninjago, so eight years later, I'm surprised we haven't seen a successor since then.

Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation
Digger of Bricks replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
No one has mentioned this yet, but City set no. 60153 (Fun at the Beach) has an elderly beach goer minifigure with dual molded red and yellow legs. If not a future set, people can adopt these for the Flash! Two other figures also come with dual molded blue/yellow and green/yellow legs ( the latter though already utilized by Doc Ock last year). -
What future LEGO Movies would you like to see happen?
Digger of Bricks replied to Realshow's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
I could see an original or licensed "breakout" character (like Batman) introduced in the LM2 getting a follow-up spinoff movie if anything. What original or licensed property currently could warrant a spinoff, I don't know. Many animated franchises produced spinoffs based on "breakout" characters (Minions, for instance). Was TLBM produced for that reason, or just because WB saw it as a winning combination? Whatever the reason, I hope an original character (as opposed to a licensed one) introduced in future films is popular enough to warrant a spinoff.- 97 replies

What future LEGO Movies would you like to see happen?
Digger of Bricks replied to Realshow's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
That is interesting that they coincide. I have not seen anyone link this, but this article from July 2015 linked below excerpts a quote from TBBR director/writer Drew Pearce about the film. http://www.nerdreport.com/2015/07/24/details-on-the-fourth-lego-sequel-the-billion-brick-race/ “Modestly, hopefully it will be the biggest race movie of all time,” Pearce said. “Imagine doing a race movie but having the ability to do it with Lego. So part Cannonball Run, part Wacky Races but with a real working class Rocky style blue collar vibe to it as well.”- 97 replies

What future LEGO Movies would you like to see happen?
Digger of Bricks replied to Realshow's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
I think a LBM sequel is plausible, but it would be titled The Lego Justice League Movie, though technically it would be Batman-centric (Batman is the founder of the League, after all). Since the LBM tries to encapsulate Batman's cinematic (and comic) legacy in a single movie, I couldn't see WB making the sequel a direct sequel, but a broader DCEU homage follow-up based upon the many planned DCEU films scheduled (though, I know, many are delayed or in limbo as of this post).- 97 replies

The Future of Lego Space. (opinions, ideas, discussion)
Digger of Bricks replied to Trekkie99's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
https://ideas.lego.com/projects/72716 This is the project. Only 675 supporters before it expired, same with a few other Galaxy Explorer projects . So yes, CP has not got much traction on Lego Ideas unfortunately.- 991 replies

DC Superheroes 2017 - Set Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Now I couldn't find the article, but in a press visit to the Justice League set earlier last year , the author described the commissioner rooftop meet at the end of the JL trailer being filmed. Gordon (JK Simmons) asks Batman what are the parademons being spoken of by Wonder Woman, to which Batman replies "flying monkeys". Another LBM reference to Justice League, the inclusion of the Wizard of Oz's flying monkeys, perhaps?- 3,020 replies

I remember those projects, some of those were great homage takes on the original, especially one posted here on Eurobricks called the Galaxy Explorer 2015 project, with the UCS X-Wing canopy and the upper level Speed Racer windshield. It was pretty sleek but simple like it's namesake.- 991 replies

DC Superheroes 2017 - Set Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Some posters here mentioned the similarities between the Knightcrawler and the LBM's Scuttler in light of PL and CM's comments early on about the LBM's references to past and future movies. It's funny, but I wonder if the LBM Batwing's rear cargo hull and mini Robin gokart are a comical take on the JL Flying Fox. I had never knew of the Knightcrawler until these leaks had surfaced, but I immediately thought of the Scuttler and the above mentioned comments afterwards.- 3,020 replies

The Future of Lego Space. (opinions, ideas, discussion)
Digger of Bricks replied to Trekkie99's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Maybe intentionally on part of the set designers, but it interesting that part no. 28782 introduced this year in trans-yellow for the LBM's batmobile has a brick height and stud dimensions of 6 studs by 6 studs by 2 bricks. That is the equivalent of 2 of part 3939(1979's Galaxy Explorer windshield piece) stacked a top each other. Something that would work perfectly for a neo-Galaxy Explorer! Thanks! All my bricks I own are second hand, collected from thrift store-ing over the years. So hence my name. I suppose that makes me a Lego brick archaeologist.- 991 replies

Hey,good topic! I have pondered upon the same thing regarding CP and Creator. With 2018 arriving ( the 60th anniversary of the system and 40th for CP,castle, town, ect),perhaps then we might see some CP related products. Now no one has mentioned the Juniors theme for CP. I have often seen that as a possible theme for a CP styled set or two, maybe? Though Juniors is composed of many pre-molded "parts made out of other parts", trans-yellow canopies, printed tiles, and minifigures could be exploited from these sets that would be undoubtedly useful for MOCs. Castle and pirates have been done for the theme, so why not at least something sci-fi? I can not see Juniors Star Wars happening.- 991 replies
