  1. I updated the 12T gear design https://www.shapeways.com/product/46W7RYBSK/lego-12t-gear-single-bevel?optionId=60659026&li=shop-inventory The old gear teeth were too thick and the center hold to small. I downloaded a file of the 12t double bevel as my template then I made it a single bevel so it should work.
  2. Great reviews Sariel, I think I like 42065 most though, its a hard choice between 42063 and 42065 but 42065 has such a good value.
  3. I found this youtube channel, he seems to be building a giant European type truck. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXLcupJXLUvwYptYC-mUqQw/videos?view=0&sort=dd&shelf_id=0 the truck takes up his entire table, I cant imagine how heavy it is.
  4. Nice cool, it's nice to see a more out of the box type build. About 3 years ago I went to a tour of a U-Boat, the famous u-505, and it was a sight to see.
  5. Nice crawler, the axle design looks really rigid and I like the way you made the steering with 5L wishbones. Does it have enough torque with only 1 XL geared 3:1 per axle? Did you try having the steering servo mounted to the axle? It saves space and gets rid of the backlash that Lego U-joins have.
  6. Very interesting concept, the suspension is awesome. It stinks that there is no room for a steering rack, does it still steer properly? I agree with @Blakbird it reminds me of a RC car too It is a little to square but with the lack of panels it still looks okay.
  7. It looks really nice, the chassis looks really rigid, what did you use to mount the servo? 3D printed parts? Are you sure the Lego universal joints will hold up, they can break under the load of a XL motor. I am currently making a car a little smaller then yours, I have a feeling yours will look a lot better.
  8. https://www.bricklink.com/store/home.page?p=Eezo#/shop?o={"showHomeItems":1} Here you go
  9. Both the crawlers are good but I like the Hedgehog more the splash of purple is a nice addition. I don't like the chicks shorter wheelbase and higher SOG so much since it will make it hard to climb really steep hills.
  10. I like this version a lot more then the first, the front looks much more aggressive to me, I'm not a fan of the rear part though, the new curved panels look a little off, I guess I'm used to the back being flat.
  11. Cool project, sorry if you already stated but what are you going to use to counter balance the arm?
  12. Looks cool, its great to have you back. Has your username changed? Or am I going crazy
  13. Does anyone know what size motor is in the PF XL motor? As far as I can tell there are no markings on it or serial numbers. I think it would be cool to upgrade the motor to a higher torque-faster version.
  14. Really cool, was the front suspension weak where it connects to the chassis, it just seems a little thin there. I like the lime color, I have a lot of lime panels but I dont use them much, I might make a lime car next.
  15. Beautiful MOC, the bodywork is amazing. I don't think I would ever place a LiPo where snow can get to it though, on soft or had snow, maybe I'm just to cautious
  16. I used to have a folder for instructions but they seem to have been deleted. From my memory it was a lot like Effermans design, with the bevel gear drive, I believe I had one of these where the DBG beam can be seen on the underside in between the two 5L wishbones, I used custom built top wishbones instead of the 5L ones but I did that to make room for the V2 engine, the main MOD I did was use a rack and pinion instead of the T beam to steer. The rest was improving the mounting points for my needs.
  17. Wow it's amazing you built this in 3 weeks, to bad it cant move but its more of a display MOC so that fine.
  18. Haha, that gave me a good laugh.
  19. Try my design There are a few versions in the thread but it will fit your needs
