  1. Ok, who had Dune on their 2023 Lego Bingo cards? I certainly didn't... I hope it does the epic series justice. (or at least, better justice than the 1980's film version did to the books )
  2. ... and the Evil Diesel is done IRL @The Brick Boss! This is my quickest turnaround from digital to real world model I've EVER done. It only took four days to find all the parts and construct it entirely from parts at my house. I even added some doors to the cab, giving it that old-school Lego feel and a play feature to boot. Thoughts anyone?
  3. Thanks for you kind comments @jimmynick and @Feuer Zug! I chose that style of blue / white awning and the yellow brickwork based on train station seen in the "Shining Time" TV show (it was a live action show used for bringing Thomas and Friends episodes to America in the 1990's) and more so in the "Thomas and the Magic Railroad" movie, which also has Shining Time station featured. I was actually originally going to name the station Shining Time, but couldn't print good enough stickers.
  4. I feel Dug would be a bad jail guard - he would see something chase-worthy and be like SQUIRREL! I was on Disneyland's PoTC ride just before the first film came out, and it looks very close to what I remember, so great job on accuracy! Fun fact: They originally used real skeletons of bodies donated to science in this ride, since fake ones in the 1960's looked cheap / bad. They THINK they've got them all removed and replaced now...
  5. It's not a modular building. Out of scale (WAY too big), and no connectors to the others.... it requires a lot of changes to be a modular. @Jack Sassy: Dang! Forgot about that one!
  6. Nearly two years ago, I built this model in real bricks. I then promptly forgot to take pictures of it. Oh well, better late than never! This building provides a station for my LEGO versions of the rail-based Thomas the Tank Engine characters, and a place to put Bertie thus bus. The station was inspired by either a old Railbricks or an early Brick Journal article. (I can't remember which!) Here is the track side view, with a mail box on the platform. I named the station 'Davis' for two reasons: 1) It sounds British-like 2) I had the printed tiles lying around and wanted to use them somewhere. This MOC provided me a perfect opportunity! The street entrance has a small staircase to the station building, with the ramp allowing freight to get to the platform level. The inside features two rooms: the ticket office with stove (on left) and the quite small waiting room (right side). Three chairs are inside the public area, with more waiting space is outside on the platform. The model is modular, with two different size platform extensions, main building, and the roof. That's all I have on this one... Thoughts greatly appreciated!
  7. Thanks! I had been trying various ways of making him for years with no success. Glad to know it worked out in the end!
  8. @The Brick Boss here you go! "This is Diesel. I've been told I have to give him a trial run, so please help him learn our way of doing things." - The Fat Controller The BR class 08 diesel switcher you see here is based off a @Chromeknight design from way back in 2011-ish. It features a sliding center axle to get the three wheels to clear curves and switches, and will be built at some point in British Railways black. The loco is supposed to represent The Evil Diesel as seen in Thomas and Friends TV show / The Railway Series books. (The less said about the travesty known as All Engines Go, the better!) The rear of the locomotive. I hope he's learned his lesson since the last time has was on Sodor! (Spoiler: he hasn't) EDIT: Forgot I had made these coaches for James! These four coaches are for use with James the 2-6-0 mixed traffic engine. The four coaches seen above are slightly based off Thomas' carriages Annie and Clarabel, but in a different color (these in tan vs. their reddish brown) to keep those two special. Thoughts?
  9. Here is one of Thomas the Tank Engine's best friends, Bertie the bus, as seen in The Railway Series books and the original Thomas and Friends TV show. You can see LEGO Thomas and his fellow engines and some rolling stock over in my thread in the Train Tech sub-forum. Thomas and Bertie once had a a race, and they both want a rematch, but I don't think they ever will... do you? This model's front end was inspired by 2019 Harry Potter set 75957 (The Knight Bus) and the rear portion by the bus in the 2017 set 10259. (Winter Village Station) The side door opens, and Bertie seats one driver and two passengers (three figures overall). The rear of the friendly bus. You can see the read about the original book version of him here and the TV show here, both on the Thomas and Friends wiki. Any thoughts would be appreciated!
  10. 1. Detective office 2. Jazz club Because who doesn't like a Film Noir Lego set or two?
  11. I like the way you think! Maybe it could be OCTAN regional offices, or something. If it were, it would need a billboard / logo sign on top.
  12. I can already see all the young kids trying to recreate the train wreck scene, even if the set wasn't licensed. I can also hear all the parents who own the set quietly cursing for rebuilding the train for the umpteenth time. The LEGO part replacement service is going to be busy in the future!
  13. I wonder if they're combing the Orient Express set with Mission Impossible. You know, because of the new film. It would makes sense, in a way.
  14. Diesel 10 is back! A blast from the past: ten out of ten for devious deeds and brutal strength, who hates steam engines! You can compare the new model above to the old one in the spoiler below. Thoughts? Credit to @KaijuBuildz who designed the original model I reverse engineered.
  15. Besides Classic Space, that Marvel spaceship would also look good in Blacktron I color scheme...
  16. Main posted updated 7/19/23: I added new pictures, as I made the model modular-building compatible. You can compare them below. old new Thoughts? Also, @JopieK if you think this might be better in Town forum since it's a bit of both train and town, you can move it there. I don't mind, it's up to you.
  17. It's Bob from LEGO Universe! Nice work on this MOD, I need to now replicate it on my own copy. (when I get one) Keep up the good work!
  18. first post updated 7/17/23: New finished MOC pictures and revised text added to first post as of now!
  19. You can't share leaked images on EuroBricks... it's against the rules. Not even links are allowed.
  20. If that happens, I want John Lennon's psychedelic Rolls Royce too, just for value as conversational bookends... edit: OH! And I want Chitty Chitty Bang Bang too, with all the features from the film!
  21. Great work! Glad to see you were able to motorize it without changing that much.
