  1. I know the Friends line have some that could be incorporated in minifig land, like hedgehogs, penguins, and deers... Maybe a turtle and rabbit?
  2. Sweet! Great overall hotrod look. What are you going to do to make it a ratrod instead of a hotrod? Btw, I just see only one thing wrong with this car...
  3. You are awesome dude!! Thanks again!
  4. Nice!
  5. Hahah, thanks! I do have to tell you that I have made some improvements. It has a stronger structure, and I rearranged the roofdetails. I also put the red fins a plate higher. It still looks the same, but it's much more refined... ;-) and it's not finished yet. I'm halfway of changing all the glass into transluscent blue. And damn, that does look good. Stay tuned...
  6. Hi Mark, I really don't know anymore. I've bought two, maybe three sets of the hearse, and I'm sure I used a lot of my childhood bricks. I really need to break it apart to see. As you may have noticed I've build three versions. Zombie icecream truck and the Ecto 1. All with small, but very important differences. The Ecto 1 is the best, for it has the better structure. I will redo this black hearse again and will post pics. For now you'll just have to look at these pics. There are a few that show some of it's secrets... ;-)
  7. Welcome to Eurobricks! ps: I suggest we continue our conversation about the small hearse in the right thread from now on, okay? http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=90035entry1774814 Thanks!
  8. Are you willing to do that? That would be so very nice... Thanks in advance! I noticed you standing in front of the original building in New York. How awesome is that! :-)
  9. .. Thank you robuko! That means a lot coming from a builder of your stature... As an official set eh... Well, I'm thinking about putting it up at Cuusoo. I got some ideas to work out a small scene around it. In the meantime the Batmobile itself only got better. I got hold of a lot of the older dark red pieces so I replaced all red. And finally the red wingpieces are in place. Also, I gave the car some more characteristic detailing, and even some 'play features'. Then I smoothed it out slightly more. I've been wondering the same thing, about children nowadays. I got a feeling that they won't like the 66 batmobile more than everyone that came after it. Unless some kids also have the nostalgia-bug... I'm afraid that to all other kids it's nothing more than a unlogical car from a 'stupidly childish' tv show... So this hypothetical release should be pointed towards an adult nostalgic audience. As I am a show'n'tell kinda guy I will be more than happy to make some detail photographs of the (de)construction of the car, but I have to check Cuusoo's policy first...
  10. Hi Mark, thanks for the kind words. If I have the time I will be more than happy to assist with the schrinkage of your hearse... Just ask what you want to know and I will try to answer. Good luck with your Haunted House. Great set, isn't it..? Mark, shall we continue this conversation in my schrunken hearse thread? Thanks! http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=90035entry1774814
  11. Very cool of you! Thanks. I don't have any experience with LDD so I hope to also see some good ol' fashioned instructionsheets in the download...
  12. Another thing I like about this creation is that what is 'not important' for the scene is left a monotonous grey, which makes the action just pop even harder...
  13. As a kid the best set ever was that big blue classic spaceship... I remember the set as the first (and maybe only one?) with a decent playfeature: opening backside with room for the small vehicle. As an adult I must say the Haunted House is the best. Great theme, beautiful architecture, terrific playfeatures like the dollhouselike opening, great minifigs... In all, a brave statement from Lego. But i've got to mention the Vampyre Hearse... Also from the Monster Fighterstheme. As this set made me buy and build with Lego again since the 80's. It gives me inspiration to this day.
  14. That's one impressive looking machine! I love the 'tires', en the way you made the rearend...
  15. Nice! Loved seeing these ships speeding through space in the 80's... What is the secret of such a tapered fuselage..?
  16. Nice modding on all of your buildings! The inside corner brown building is particular interesting. Keep going! Hope someday you do do some interior work. Its vey satisfying. For yourself. Eventhough you aren't going to see it often... ;)
  17. Buying two of one particular set is the way to go to do some decen modding. Looking good so far!
  18. Nice photography!
  19. I'd like to see all of the anti lego-simpsons crowd making an anti-simpson moc/vignette/scenery with these upcomming cmfs... Also, What about a halloween scene with kids dress up as a simpsons character...
  20. Very cool. Wasn't aware of those figures... You managed to make it work. Make it work very wel...
  21. Thanks Delta! The other colors where used out of necessity, but I agree, they look great too and are fun to look at. Except for the part that the car 'only' fits two minifigures and not 'more than 2 minifures' this must be the best compliment I could ever get. A lot of people admire big builds while I think the creativity lies in the smaller ones. It's really hard to make an attractive, let alone a legendary vehicle so small that it will fit in a town scenery and still hold two minigiures next to eachother. So thank you very much Freddy! I even did some more tinkering and I can tell you that the underside frontend has a more flowing line to it. On the rear decklid I removed the tiles and got rid of the grillepiece. I also flattened it out a bit more by moving the upper black wingpieces one stud forward. The two regular exausts are moved forward. In the interior I've replaced the cheeseslopes with the 1x2 darkred bowpieces. Again, a step closer to completion...
