  1. Hi guys, I made an alternate model for the Lego Batman Movie Mini Batmobile Alternate Speed Wagon by Ransom Fern, on Flickr Here's a little breakdown if you want to build it yourself Alternate Speed Wagon breakdown by Ransom Fern, on Flickr
  2. Hi Guys, Just wanted share my Classic TV Series Batcave MOD. After buying the set I felt it lacked a few finishing touches. These have been well documented in various reviews of the set. The main thing i wanted to to was make the outside feel like a complete Wayne Manor and the inside more 'cave' like I went on ebay and bought the 'Wayne Manor' section that was on sale split from the set. There are lots of these for sale, i picked mine up for about £25.00 and this had the majority of parts needed to cover the middle section. Plus i now have a second Wayne Manor study to use as a mini vignette. anyway let me know what you think, my plan is to change the hinges holding the middle roof section on to dark bluish grey and build up more cave to improve the aesthetics above the atomic pile.
  3. This Batmobile appears in the best TV show ever (for me) with BTAS and Batman Beyond! This Car is closed to the minifig's scale. Two minifigs can fit inside. 4. I know this has been done to death but this was my first moc and I found it whilst clearing out some junk this morning and was really pleased with it all over again! Based on Zeto Vince’s Tumbler, as I’m sure these things all were four or five years ago, I made this before I discovered Bricklink so sourced all the parts from Lego’s Pickabrick and eBay, so it was stupidly expensive to build. I might have a go at refining it but for now, here you go :)
  5. Hello everyone !! I've been a huge fan of the Tumbler most of my life, it's my favorite Batmobile... mainly because this is the one i grew up with, i remember having set 7888 back when i had 8 and being blown away by how "accurate" it was (man i was soooo wrong). I eventually realized this and tried several times to make a Tumbler that was accurate and minifig scale specially after i saw the real thing back on 2012 this wish became more intense but i ultimatelly failed almost every time (You can actually see most of those in my Flickr page...please don't) something was missing... while i was on my free time (this is last year btw) i popped on the BTS disk of Batman Begins for the 100th time lol, the making of the tumbler featurette always inspires me, the whole process of how Nolan planned and how the made it work is just so amazing to me, so i gave it a last try.... fortunally for my own mental sanity... i did it. Here's my Tumbler, i tried to recreate every little thing i could while keeping it down in scale, unfortunally this is waaay too big for 100% minifig scale but i don't care lol. I know it's missing the gold bits near the nose, i re-created those with some levers which i actually painted gold i just switched them back to some black ones so it wouldn't hurt you purist guys concience Needless to say that all the angles were a nightmare to re-create, a fun nightmare non the less, all of them had to look perfect otherwise my perfectionist mind would constantly have an issue with it lol, that's why i call this the "Ultimate Tumbler" because for me it is what i would consider Ultimate within my own standards... now that i think of it, the title does sound a bit too clickbaitty for my taste,,,, ah screw it i'm sticking with it. Here's a side view of the thing. By far one of the parts i'm the happiest with is the back, sure the springs are waay to big and are not in an angle & the handle isn't as big as it should but i think it looks fairly well compared with the real vehicle. Now i hear you say..."Looks neat and all Prime but does it fit a fig?" and the answer is: Yes ! it fits two minifigs as a matter of fact. And that's about it, this has to be my favorite MOC i've done, it was such a fun ride to do and i'm really happy with the result, i actually uploaded this to the Rebrick contest Best of Batman so if you wanna check the page and leave a like and what not over there here's the link: https://www.lego.com/en-us/rebrick/view-entry?c_id={DE2F0F7A-957B-44D3-86D1-F329CD6323C8}&a_id=7f0150b1-5235-49de-a3f8-ac949f8f6739&sortEntry=true Now that the plug is over, thank you guys so much for taking the time to read this, so if you could go trought my usual horrible grammar and spelling well congrats ! Hope you have a great day ! -Prime
  6. Hello People :) After all this time I’m back with a new creation . The reason you haven’t seen anything for so long is because I went through a process of rethinking the way I build . I used to mainly recreate models from Star Wars or DC comics , with a sole purpose of making the MOC look as accurate to the original as possible , sacrificing stability , playability and overall good structure most of the time . I was no longer satisfied with that . From now on my goals are to build MOCs that both look good , and also are fun , playable , contain smart play features and generally function well as toys. The first result of this “new style” is what you see below : my own original Batmobile. While it draws inspiration from a couple of Batmobiles ( mainly Arkham Knight’s and BvS’s) it is my own spin on the classic vehicle , the Predator . It’s packed with action features : a stud shooter turret , a “hook” style spring-loaded shooter, opening trunk with all the gear you’ll need ( batarangs , a new remote batarang made from some old knight helmet feathers , extra ammo and a line launcher ) and the ability to transform between two modes , one ideal for battles and one built for speed. Also, the turret can be swapped out for a winch , which can be attached to the front spring loaded shooter and then shot - you can catch enemies’ vehicles , bring down walls , shoot it towards a roof and then climb , the possibilities are endless. I have also built a display MOC for my Batmobile - which is the first segment of what will eventually become a full Batcave . It has working lights and spins slowly - as a car turntable should. I would love to hear your thoughts and opinions on this . Do you like this new style of building ? Do you like the look of the car ? What about the functions ? Do you want to see a full Batcave ? Your comments are very important to me :)
  7. Full post here Who has the coolest gadgets? BATMAN!! Who has the tricked-out ride? BATMAN!! Well, like him or hate him, you gotta admit the Batmobile is pretty darn cool. Especially in Justice League, with all the extra guns slapped on top. I thought the JL Batmobile looked rather awesome, but when pics of the Flying Fox set came out, I wasn’t thrilled by LEGO’s official version. But this is LEGO, so I modded the 76045 Kryptonite Interception set and added the extra guns! Check it out! BEFORE AFTER You can see I added the cannon above the cockpit, the guns on either side, as well as the main cannons in front. Some of the reference images clashed so this was the best I could do. Thanks for looking! Let me know your thoughts in a comment below!
  8. This is my mod of Lego 76001 Tumbler :) Sharing the same major flaw of 76001 Tumbler, this doesn't have 4 rear wheels and certain parts at the back are not available in black colour, but overall I'm satisfied with its sturdiness and shape. Hope you guys like it ! Regards, KMP www.facebook.com/kmpmocs/
  9. The Batmobile from Batman v Superman is perhaps my favourite Batmobile design to date. I decided to build a UCS scale version and make it as authentic to the prop car as possible. The cockpit struts and roof panels were inspired by KKB-N7's excellent LDD rendition. Features include detailed interior, rolling wheels, and rotating front turret. More photos on flickr.
  10. Hello everyone, I am super excited to finally show you my new and improved DCEU Batmobile. If you remember, last year i built a BvS Batmobile and i actually sold a lot of it's instructions, first of all i want to thank everyone who bought those ! However i felt like that model didn't make Patrick Tatopoulos amazing design justice. Thanks to the feedback that a lot of you guys provided i was able to improve upon those areas. My main goals for this new model were: -Being able to change looks from BvS to Jl. -Be more stable on the wheel connections. -Make the wheelguards more stable. -Make it smaller. -Use the "new" windshield piece. Which led me to some intense months of building and testing. But i am very pleased with the final result, not only is it in better scale compared to a minifg, but it's also more accurate in some areas. One of which i am very proud of are the wheel guards. Here's the BvS configuration, and by far my favorite i think Patrick Tatopoulos and his team did a great job with the design so it was very important for me to get it right this time. Fun fact: this was the first variant i did, i just modded it to change the look to how it appears on JL & SS. So here's the SS configuration, it's basiclly the same as BvS except it doesn't have the turret on, So as you can see this is way smaller, and more accurate in scale with a minifig, i would say it's still waaaay too big to be in proper scale but it's definetly better than the previous one. Here's the front of the thing. It's slimmer and prettier than my previous model imo, not to mention that it is a bit more accurate, i must say that i rally like the use of the grey Galaxy guns to represent the flaps that the car has IRL. (sorry for the blurry pic there) Here's the side of the thing, I must admit that the previous model had more details on the side but i think this looks fine, especially considering this is way smaller. I want to point out that the orange piece does not exist on the actual JL car, i just added it for the sake of having different colors on it, the piece also exists on Dark Bluish Grey so that's a easy fix if you don't like it. Here's the back of the thing, By far one of my favorite views of the model, it may lack some of the details my previous model had but i like this a lot more, i think the wheel guards look really good in this angle too which just adds to the overall look. I also tried some new techniques which help get the look right. And i also tried a new building instructions software which makes for some LEGO quality building experience which i hope you all enjoy. If you want to check it out you can click the image on my signature I hope you all like this as much as i do, as always feedback is much apreciated ! Regards -Prime
  11. Attempted to make one of these a few years ago and it looked like butt, so it was time for an update. Batmobile (Batman Beyond) by Henchmen4Hire, on Flickr There aren't any groundbreaking techniques, I simply went at it with dogged determination trying to get the silhouette just right. Looked at various artist's versions of this Batmobile to get ideas, then decided to add a bunch of wedges to the hull because slanty lines make things go faster. (Also, they help create a gradual rounded effect.) There are tons of places that can be tweaked to attach weapons and stuff by virtue of the straightforward construction. The Batmobile in the cartoons is deceptively big, Batman can sit in there behind the wrap-around console and swivel comfortably, there's even plenty of headroom for his long spiky ears. Being designed for a single passenger, the BB Batmobile has a cramped backseat, I think the rear end is supposed to be filled with the engines, reserve ammunition, etc. However, I ended up with lots of space in there, so Terry can even bring Ace or his mouthy friends along for a ride. •Windscreen flips open •Added 4 airbrakes the flip up •Moving the 2x2 wedge by the windscreen reveals a narrow viewport •The engine nacelles (I think we can call them that) are semi-hollow to add a flip-out cannon or whatever in there. •Adjustable control sticks •Rear hatch flips open Batmobile (Batman Beyond) by Henchmen4Hire, on Flickr
  12. Being in a "Batmobile phase" for the last month or so, I thought I could try my hand at creating the Batmobile seen in Batman: The Animated Series (1992-1995) TV show. I have the full series in a DVD collection and really enjoyed the style of drawing, that to my eyes had a noir look to it that reminded me of the classic Batman, before Warner Bros transformed (and ruined) the character into a children's cartoon. And I specially like that Batmobile, with it's 1930's locomotive look, with that huge bonnet and small cabin. So the idea was to make it look like the car seen on the show but in minifig scale, and swooshable - no, I don't go around playing with my models making "vroom vroom" noises but I have to make them swooshable (according to my wife, I have the mind of a 12 year old, and she's ALWAYS right) . It is too tall for a minifig, but it was just impossible to make it shorter in height and in minifig scale, since I wanted to make the bonnet with the taller middle section and with the exhaust manifold showing. I guess I could make it one plate shorter if I used the new Speed Champions tires and wheels, but then the wheels would have looked too small. In the end, as a real car it looks totally ridiculous and huge, but I think it's a half decent representation of what you saw on TV. What do you guys think? PS: Looking at the images now I think I'll swap those vertical 1×2 black slopes on the sides of the cabin for two regular 1×2 tiles...
  13. Hey guys! I don't know about you, but sometimes I think Lego designers could have done a little better when it comes to some parts of some sets. Case in point, a few of the vehicles in super-heroes' sets. Sometimes I look at a vehicle and find that there's just a little detail that's off, that could have been better to my eyes. I'm sure that many people wouldn't mind, but sometimes just a simple part swap will make a big difference. I'm not talking about accuracy to the real thing, since in most of the super-hero sets that Lego produces the vehicles aren't supposed to be a replica of a vehicle seen in the movies or comics. I'm fine with that, since if you want, you can replicate anything to your heart's content, and I like to see the ideas that Lego designers come up with - I usually really like their models. But sometimes things can be made better. What made me come up with these photos and post was the Batmobile from "Batmobile and the Two-Face Chase" set (#6864). I loved the car, but something was off. And then I saw the problem: the yellow wheels. I swapped the wheels and the yellow headlights and changed a bit the fenders and voilà! The car shined: The same happened with "Kryptonite Interception" (#76045). Though I'm aware that the car in the movie was not black but a dark grey (bley?), and that the front wheels should have some sort of armor, but a few part swaps and to my eyes the Lego version now looks better: The Batbike (I don't know what to call it) from set "Gotham City Cycle Chase" (#76053) is a typical case of Lego's creativity IMO. As far as I know, there never was nothing similar to that in the movies or comics, but I really liked the model. However, the way Batman had to "hang on for dear life" to ride it bothered me, so using just a few parts from my parts bin it now looks nicer. I really like the "Full Throttle" (anyone remember that?) look of it. I've seen quite a few renderings of Ghost Rider's flaming motorcycle in comics and cartoons, and being honest, none look very much like what Lego delivered us. And that's because traditionally, what is on fire are the wheels, something you'll never be able to reproduce in brick form unless you resort to pyrotechnics. So considering that, I say that Lego did a nice job with what they did in set "Spider-man: Ghost Rider Team-Up" (#76058). BUT, once again, I thought I could make it a little better: As you can see, all the examples above are very slight modifications, what I call "light mods". Nothing major, just a few part swaps, but to my eyes the models look a little nicer now. One thing that I've noticed is that you have to have the model in hands and then, with your spare parts, start changing things to see what can be done. Sometimes what seems to be a good idea won't look very hot in brick form, so you have to try it out. These are just some really simple mods, basically cosmetic details, that usually requires just a few different parts that most of us will have in the bin. Right now I'm waiting for parts for the Batmobile from "Batman: The Riddler Chase" (#76012) and as soon as "Jokerland" (#76035) set arrives I'll also do a light mod to both of those Batmobiles. Can't show the #76012 Batmobile yet because I ran out of black wheels . So, anyone else in the light mod business ? Sometimes you just need to see a photo of a moded model/set for things to click and you'll notice what your model needs to get better.
  14. I have always loved the 1966 Batmobile which is easily the best Batmobile of all time. I had the die-cast Corgi model when I was a kid and I just love this vehicle so I had to make one! I tried to capture the look and shape as close as possible to minifig scale. It's a 7-wide with a good amount of 1/2 stud offset throughout. I also added some custom stickers. I have a brick built front grill which I will probably share at some point but the stickers look better IMO. Pictures are here.
  15. If Batman had come into existence in the 1930s, this is what he probably would have looked like.
  16. If "Lego Batman" replaced Mr Affleck, then would the Batmobile look more like this perhaps?.....black and yellow is supposed to be the new black after all!..(also I thought the original colour scheme was a bit dull.) 17. When I saw the picutres of 70917 The Ultimate Batmobile I was instantly in love with the overall design and the splitting function...but also I thought "the ultimate batmobile" was way to big. So I created my own version... Decently sized ultimate batmobile Decently sized ultimate batmobile Decently sized ultimate batmobile Regards marv
  18. Hello there, here are a few more of my mocs i made a while ago, this time, they're for batman! all are my own creation, but the bat is a heavily modified version of velociraptors(i believe, it's been a while since i made them) , and is a bit smaller and a lot sturdier. i can't remember who designed the bat pod.... More pics can be found on my flikr page: https://www.flickr.c...s/125494760@N04 Enjoy! feedback is most welcome. ps, sorry about the poor photography, black is very hard to photograph... 19. Hi, I would like to show you my latest creation - the arkham knight batmobile with battle mode action feature. Please find link to the video and some pics below. Thanks for watching! yt video -
  20. Hi everyone, I have just made my lego version of the batmobile from the arkham knight game. I tried to make as closer to design as possible giving the scale I choose. It is not the first creation based on the model, there are plenty out there. But I think the main difference from the others is that mine does transforms from battle to vehicle mode and it does allow the wheels to turn 360 degrees when in battle mode. It includes one batman figure, It does transforms from vehicle to battle mode with the help of ratchet pieces for each wheel and a technique (bionicle arm) for the guns on top. Please check it on lego ideas website, there are more pictures of it on the lego ideas page of my model illustrating how it looks from different angles and modes. Please let me know what do you think of it (and please support it if you like it!) https://ideas.lego.com/projects/144126
  21. Recently modded control centre from the Batman and Superman vs Lex Luthor set from the Juniors range, including adding extra equipment, rotating chair, architectural details (finials etc), greebling and communications tech. Below a Ninjago vehicle modded quite some time ago including 'batmanning' it and giving it a jet ski.
  22. Hey guys , My first MOC when I came out of my late dark ages one and a half year ago was the Batmobile from the first two Arkham games ( well , technically it also cameos in "Origins" ) . It was ok for a first creation after years of absence I guess , but not that great . Some days ago I stumbled upon the LDD file , and I thought " Why not revisit it , make it great and actually build it with real bricks as well this time ". I'm posting this as a WIP because I've finished 80-85% of it but I'm kind of stuck and I need some opinions and suggestions . Here is what I have so far : The tooth piece is supposed to go between the 1x1 plate and 1x1 tile right behind the "tubes" , LDD won't let me put it there but I think I'll be able to squeeze it in there when I actually build it . The tubes / hoses will be flexed so that they're closer to each other and have the angle like the "real" model . As you can see ,the front part is complete , but the back , specifically behind the driver's seat is only a rough draft . So here comes the part where I need your help . I've created two versions of the back "afterburner" area as well as I need your opinion on which looks more accurate , and as many ideas and suggestions as possible for the part behind the driver's seat . Here is the second version of the back area . And , since 2D screenshots can never truly express the 3 dimensions , I'm attaching the LXF file . The one on the right with Batman next to it is what I've been showing so far , the one in the middle has the second version of the back area and the one on the left is the one on the right without the roof , whatever you see there is "complete" ( but of course can be changed if needed). Note : I know some parts don't exist in the colours I use , but I don't like to be limited by the colours TLG produces their parts in , so I'll probably paint them . Also , you may find some "silly " bits in the LXF file , like three 1x1 plates on top of each other instead of an 1x1 brick etc , obviously this won't be the case for the final model , just didn't pay attention to this kind of things and concentrated only in replicating the vehicle's look . Thanks for viewing and please leave a comment of your opinions/ suggestions , it will help a lot .
  23. Update october 2023: After abandoning this MOC about 7 years ago, I felt it was time to revisit it after years of brewing ideas to make this work. I am getting close to a full functional model, but not sure I can eliminate the last few issues completely. Currently the transformation works flawlessly, drive works, brake flaps work, steering wheel in the cab works, actual steering works somewhat, 360 turning works somewhat. The problems with steering is mainly in the arms for the wheels, the part above the wheel with the small turntables has too much flex, I need to tackle this while trying to keep the look of the arm as close to the source material as possible (and I already took some liberties there as you can see). It houses 2 XL for drive. There is 1 wheel at the front under the cockpit and one behind the exhaust each with their own XL. A concept was made to put the motor besides the wheel, like how the "real" model has an electro motor there, but it gave similar problems like the steering arm flex problems. 2 L- motors to steer these wheels 4 L-motors to steer the wheels at each arm 1 L-motor to act as a switch for "360" turning with 3 PF switches it inverts 1 drive motor, 1 steering arm motor at the rear and 1 at the front. I also use this setting to turn the wheels close to completely sideways for the transformation (I didn't do this in the picture above) 1 Servo for the brake flaps 2x (train) battery boxes. Also to be clear: the arms do not carry the weight of this model. I cheated, those 2 wheels for drive under the model+4 bogey wheels placed directly under the battery boxes carry the weight. One of my biggest mistakes from 8 years ago, was thinking Lego could handle this, so that was abondoned instantly for this. I also figured it would be nice to have a vehicle that's basically a tank, build like a tank, so it has about 40 5x7 frames, flip-flop beams and I tried to secure every panel into position. This makes it very heavy, but quite sturdy. Special note to https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/profile/21067-hass-kabal/ He made a system bricks model of this batmobile long ago (2015) and I used some of his solutions, like the wheel arches on the side of the front arms, the steering wheel in the cab and I pretty much sized up his "electro" motors on the inside of the wheels. I hope to make a video of the whole thing within the next month, but no promises More pics will probably happen sooner than that. Original post from 8 years ago: Hardly finished anything on this model, but felt like sharing the progress so far anyway. Building this is the goal: Here's a video which shows various functions of the batmobile in the game: I am planning to add the following functions: -2x XL motor for 4WD (I expect the total weight to be about 3-4kg, so I reckon I could use their power. I am a little afraid of breaking gears/axles, so still have L motors as a backup plan. -2 servo motors which are going to provide 3 ways of steering: Normal drive with airflaps to assist steering (as seen in the video) 360 degree turn on the spot (unfortunately not in the video but it can do this) Battle tank mode with crab steering -2 M motors for the turret and opening the cockpit for Batman to get in (I expect to add that function anyway besides the 2 functions I want for the turret) -9 PF lights, among which 1 set for the afterburner in "normal drive mode" I wanted to built this model since Januari, I even briefly considered it for TC7, but Jim and I both agreed that this vehicle fails the "looks like a normal car in non-battle mode" Meanwhile some other people on Eurobricks had a crack at the model (click en clicker) I liked the first topic alot for the CGI pictures of the batmobile like this, because seeing all the details on a model that's mostly black ingame is kind of hard. The fact that Warner Bros cancelled the version of the game that came with a scale model of the batmobile didn't help either, luckily these pictures also help for getting the scale right in the MOC. The second topic is pretty nice for some of his brickbuild solutions. An area I am not too familiar with since I built mostly Technic and lack knowledge of normal Lego parts. Two things I don't like about the second model: the wheels are too small (or the model too big for the wheels), especially shows around the wheelarches, but the wheelarches on my model are too thick too, but not as much as this one I think. The other thing is that he cut and drilled some parts to fit the model. I like to find solutions within the Lego system, so modding is a big no-no for me. Anywho, time for some pictures. It isn't much (not even in time invested, since I just did a little every moment I had time for it), but at least I can copy-paste to the other side instantly, assuming I don't have to make adjustments (as if lol) The midsection is just for me to get a rough idea of how it will look (leaning on a BB so it won't fall over). So it's lacking details just about everywhere in that section. Wheels and stuff missing some details too, but I want to get a functional model first. Every wheel needed to have 3 things: drive, steering and lights. The real model has electro motors on each wheel, I briefly considered mounting a M or L motor on the side and have it drive the wheel, but getting it locked in place there wouldn't look right with the actual model (wire of the L motor basically going over the inner tire). One thing I haven't looked into though is making my own rims for the tires, I will see how this works out first. The wires for the lights have been in many places and this is just about the only place where they don't interfere with the steering and driving gears. Here you can also see the main reason why my wheelarch is too thick: I needed 2 studs to fit those functions above the wheel. I am afraid the structure holding the wheels proves to be too weak for the full model, so might have to reinforce that later on. XL motor's spot is up for the debate. It will probably end 2 studs lower. Gear ratio at the moment is 1:1 (I think), not sure which way I am going to go with that since the XL is known to break gears and axles Battle tank crab steering mode. My model won't make 360+ turns with the wheels, nor even 180 degrees for 2 reasons - 360+ I am not feeling because of the wires getting tangled up - 180 degrees isn't going to really work with the servo. I want to use the servo for snappy steering like the real thing. The liftarm for the steering is a stud closer to the middle of the car than i'd like, but this was the spot to at least get a 100-120 degree turn. One servo will function as a gearbox between the different driving modes while the other servo just steers. I chose this setup to be able to switch quickly between steering modes, just like in the game. Lights had to be used on this model. I am still looking for a way to get the lights to turn red when he enters battle mode, but I don't know where or how (open for suggestions). The reason the rear doesn't have 3 lights on the wheel (does ingame), is because these are rarely shown (battle mode only, and only with the wheel at an angle). In case you wonder about some angles in this model. Pretty early in the build I lost track of what's 100% clean so I just began testing stuff by fixing a liftarm on 1 side and lining it up with the hole I wanted to use on the other end. If I could spin an axle freely in this hole, I gave it the thumbs up, if not, back to looking for another solution. One funny spot on the model where there is pressure, is at the rear, thanks to the freaking 12L soft axles, which quite frankly aren't acting so soft! If the soft axles aren't locked into to place the triangle above the rear lights aren't pushed into the 5x7 panles on the top, they push them slightly in when they are connected Some panels are only fixed in 1 spot, to give them room to move slightly around another panel/axle/liftarm if needed. I noticed a little late that some photo's are a little blurry, sorry, will check it next time. Next up: the actual chassis.
