[MOC] 1:48 Pennsylvania Railroad Q2 Duplex (PF / PU)
Commander Wolf posted a topic in LEGO Train Tech
Hello all, I have recently built a model that might actually deserve a post. This is a working, running (albeit only on R104 curves) 1:48 scale model of the Pennsylvania Railroad Q2 duplex. PF or PU motors power all five driving axles, and the design uses no third party parts besides #11 drivers. See the video for a more detailed description. -
Ferrari F40 - 1:8 Scale - Instructions ready!
Lox Lego posted a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Driving Ferrari's twin-turbo exotic is the closest you'll ever come to experiencing a nervous breakdown. Designed to commemorate Ferrari's 40th anniversary, the F40 is highly revered among gearheads. Ferrari Outdoors - when the sun ☀️ rises by lachlan cameron, on Flickr And gears ⚙️ it has… this iconic car is true to the original, a 5 speed gearbox + reverse, HOG (manual) steering with working steering wheel, opening doors, hood and engine cover, pop up headlights, opening doors, the classic black stripe and a realistic interior. The framework is solid, the roof can be lifted from the B pillars. Ferrari F40 by lachlan cameron, on Flickr Using the new Daytona rims, this car looks like a track ready machine. Very cool to be building with new panels and parts, and to understand the design, not your average supercar shaping! Enjoy these white room shots of the #F40 in technic form and scroll thru the photos for all the details! Hi! This is my first proper LEGO military scale model MOC of a real vehicle - the famous M1126 Stryker ICV! The MOC is a true display model, very close to the true mini figure scale. I tried to stay true to the scale and detailing of the real vehicle as much as possible using many reference pictures, and I am especially proud on the Protector RWS turret :). As a display model, the Stryker has limited play-ability - the two roof hatches can open for posing the crew inside, the Protector turret can be "turned" and moved, front wheels also can be turned. No interior detailing though. I am very much looking forward to build a nice small diorama around this beast in the future! Here you can see the pictures of the M1126 from my Flickr account: M1126 STRYKER ICV by Kristaps Ročāns, on Flickr M1126 STRYKER ICV by Kristaps Ročāns, on Flickr M1126 STRYKER ICV by Kristaps Ročāns, on Flickr M1126 STRYKER ICV by Kristaps Ročāns, on Flickr M1126 STRYKER ICV by Kristaps Ročāns, on Flickr M1126 STRYKER ICV by Kristaps Ročāns, on Flickr M1126 STRYKER ICV by Kristaps Ročāns, on Flickr M1126 STRYKER ICV by Kristaps Ročāns, on Flickr M1126 STRYKER ICV by Kristaps Ročāns, on Flickr M1126 STRYKER ICV by Kristaps Ročāns, on Flickr And some "artsy" pictures :) M1126 STRYKER ICV by Kristaps Ročāns, on Flickr M1126 STRYKER ICV by Kristaps Ročāns, on Flickr I hope you like this one! :)

SCANIA R650 (Nextgen) tractor unit
grego18f posted a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
As I have more time for building these days, I decided to replicate the new Scania R650 on 1/22 scale (Mack Anthem #42078 set scale). The goal was very simple: have a recognizable shape and manual functions. It is in a very basic 4x2 configuration. It has a V8 and a HOG steering. For this one, I decided to abandon the working steering wheel because it gave poor results on my Volvo FH16. The cab can be tilted and the rear axle can be raised to give a nice rake (inspired by @mpj). This tractor unit can be used with any trailer compatible with the Mack Anthem. I plan to make a 3D model for this. I'd like to build something more complex with it (crane truck, timber truck, etc.) but I have no idea what. Ideas are more than welcome!- 12 replies

[MOC] Liebherr R 980 Excavator 1:25 motorized
Brickzone52 posted a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hello Everybody Im happy to introduce you my Liebherr R 980 excavator scalemodel 1:25. The whole excavator is fully motorized with power functions. The goal was to combine the motorized technic world with the usual lego bricks. Was not that easy because of the weight. This beauty will be for ever with me, thats why i also builded up a box as you can see on the pictures. Let me know what you think. :-) Best Regards from Zürich Switzerland. As rm8 mentioned, this month is "Month of Russian technics".So, let me be the 3rd with my new work that took me 8 months to do - Russian famous KAMAZ truck. Features: Front lights Scale - 1:16.7 RWD (like the real one) Width - 18 studs Ackerman steering (solid suspension on the front axle, based on 2Lego`s design) Differential on the rear axle (Classic technic suspension, don`t know how to name it) Many SNOT solutions like the front grill and the roof that were a very big headache. As for the technical solutions, the thing I`m very proud of is the steering mechanism. It was the biggest problem due to the weight of the cab, but the idea with using a minifig part decided it. Just to add, I have used some ideas from this work : http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=304715 My model: KAMA3 43253 by DB_Kit Fisto, on Flickr 1 by DB_Kit Fisto, on Flickr 3 by DB_Kit Fisto, on Flickr 4 by DB_Kit Fisto, on Flickr 2 by DB_Kit Fisto, on Flickr 5 by DB_Kit Fisto, on Flickr 6 by DB_Kit Fisto, on Flickr 7 by DB_Kit Fisto, on Flickr 8 by DB_Kit Fisto, on Flickr
