    Dwarves Dropping Eaves

Guests were traveling from every corner of Historica for Damaxius' grand celebration and the dwarves of Mitgardia's southern mountains were among the throng. As much as they loved to party, they hated big political affairs such as this one far more. In spite of this, the prospect of forging new trade relationships would have been enough to set their caravan on its way to Kaliphlin but for this trip they had far greater motivation. When the rumors spread that some of the most detestable figures in Historica would be smuggled in for the party it sent shockwaves through many political circles. Many of the elf lords of Avalonia were livid and refused to attend in protest but the dwarves saw in this rare gathering an opportunity. Long had they hated the Drow with a passion to rival the elves and many years they spent sealing the gaps between the roots of the mountains to prevent Mitgardia from being defiled with the countless tunnels that lay hidden and twisted beneath the rest of Historica. Lately, the Drow had been ambushing trading caravans; leaving most of its cargo but taking any surviving dwarves to the Underdeep. With whispers of war brewing in Nocturnus, the dwarves hoped to catch a glimpse into what mischief the Drow were planning and what evils might lay in the deep shadow of the east. Khor went to the party and talked to a few of the movers and shakers of Kaliphlin; finding more than a few overeager to agree to new trade relationships thanks to the strong Dwarven ale. A couple of days later when the city reopened for business as usual, he went about delivering some of the ale he had brought in expectation of a buyer and prepared a timely accident. I had a hose sticking through the ground and coming out beneath the table but I lost it outside somewhere when I went to take pictures... The wagon: The minifigs: As always, C&C wanted and thank you for looking.

    Swamp Defenders

This is my entry for Category B: Defensive Structure. Enjoy! After recruiting the Wolf Tribe to fight for Nocturnus, Rasmus and his Mitgardian friends began the return journey back to Nocturnus's capital, Abyssian. They spent days sneaking through the many swamp lands of Nocturnus, avoiding many Black Spire tratiors. Eleven days into their return journey they came across an abandoned tower situated on a high cliff. Knowing that Black Spire spies and armies used the swamp lands frequently, they began to bring in provisions and fortify the tower. They vowed no Black Spire traitors would pass the tower alive for as long as they defended the area. After 3 weeks, their vows hold true. They have taken down many enemy spies and after Rasmus's latest supply run, they have enough provisions to last six more months in the tower. Though news isn't all good, there are rumors that the enemy is gathering a large group to overtake the tower. Will this be the end for Rasmus and his men?

    MAC: Uridius' Keep

High up in Mitgardia's mountains lies Uridius' Keep. The finest architects have been summoned to help build the massive castle, carved into rock-hard mountain stone! Masons and other workers have already completed three-fourths of the splendid castle! A wood-worker adds the finishing touches to the doors while a mason starts on the second tower. Uridius surveys the view from the completed left tower. Another detail shot: C&C welcome! I was kind of rushing to finish this up so I wasn't able to take quite as much time on the snow as I would have wished, but it didn't turn out too bad I guess! Thanks for looking!

    GoH Display

So I got to display a module in a local indie toystore, but I didn't get a chance to take any photos at the actual event, just a couple at home right before I left.Check out my Flickr for a few more (bad) photos!

    AoM: Barracks Phase II

Whilst the warriors of Arcium were building their Barracks they found themselves camping out, in order to make sure the building was moving smoothly. Warriors of Arcium! Tree! Tent! Build without accessories and figs. Now I'm done with Barracks! Sorry about the bad pictures, didn't edit them enough.
  8. After Capturing the eagle it must then be transported to the Eagle Farm. To do that the hunters must pass through the Stronghelm pass, an underground dwarven tunnel. The Stronghelm pass has always been one of the safest routes in Mitgardia, even if it rarely has been manned more than five guards. However, those guards are Redstone dwarves, arguably the most disciplined and well trained dwarven warriors in Historica. Two Redstone dwarves, a warrior and captain, guard the entrance. The hunters' dangerous (but locked up) cargo. Figless! The dwarves. Love these figs! Would something this size be within the 16x16 limit for the Challenge? A 16x16 base with a border? Anyway, hope you like the build!
  9. Hi all, here is something I made for the Landscapes of Mitgardia community build. Hope you like it, and all comments are welcome! http://www.flickr.com/photos/100509226@N08/sets/72157637411887676/

    Gates of Valholl

Alright, finaly it's here, the Moc I said was finnished about 4 days ago, however I didn't really like the final result very much, so I teared the whole thing down and started all over again. I decided to go with a tan color scheme. But once again I didn't really like the final result, so teared down again and rebuilt it, which ofcourse brings us to where we are now: My Wip Mitgardian army that now contains 16 men, should I change the color scheme and helmets or should I just keep them as they are? (I'm sorry, my camera refused to focus on the figures in the front ) Comments and critism please
  11. The Great Eagles of Mitgardia are instrumental to the Mitgardian economy. Here we see two hunters attempting to capture the dangerous, but valuable, beast. Eagle! A hunter. These guys were inspired by Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. The other hunter. Figless to show the landscape. . I like this color scheme. Alright, that's it! Hope you liked the build! I'll try to build phase II and III of this soon, as well as my Barracks phase II.

    AoM: Barracks Phase III

When Sir Infernum was told of the constant raidings on the Mountainpass road, an important trade road, he took his men to build a barrack. After building it, and stationing men there, the raids have decreased substantially. Full build. I finally got batteries. The path. Where are these dudes going? You'll find out soon... Warriors of Arcium. What's on the inside? Sir Infernum has found something cool... (This was a special bonus I got from winning a contest in Hero Factory Month) Well that's all. . I'll build phase II later.
  13. Two young Mitgardians practicing there archery skills in there spare time in the south of Mitgardia.

    AoM: Store Phase III

The Trinket Merchant's shop has made him and Oran Stonewood wealthy: Closer view. Side view. Back view. Inside. Here are the earlier phases: Phase I: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=87636#entry1717783, Phase II: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=87676#entry1718588
  15. Presenting Archery Phase 2 - Mitgardia Archery school. Here is where great Mitgardian archers learn the art of archery. Younger students practice on easy targets under the watchful eye of a Master archer. More advanced archers practice on life-like targets, aiming to hit the targets where the armor is missing. View of the targets from the archers perspective. Upclose view of the targets. After a quick talk with soccerkid about angling grass to create hills, I decided to give it attempt. I am pretty happy with the way it turned out. So I tried some new techniques that I have found throughout viewing other MOCs both here and other sites, including the rock wall, and the roof and walls of the building. I also tried to improve my photographing area to avoid capturing anything in my living room. C&C welcome!
  16. Phase 1: Sparring: Trying out the clear plates and olive leaves bandwagon! I think there's going to be a lot of axemen/swordsmen in this category, so I decided to try something different and maybe flesh out some of Mitgardia's magic community in the process. AoM: Store Phase II

Business is going well for the trinket merchant and his son, and so they've added a stall: The Stall. The Merchant. Full shot. Mysterious Travelers.

    Store: Phase I

Oran has granted a traveling trinket merchant, with his son, permission to set up shop on the road beside the proposed stables location. Both see it as a chance to make some money off the road.

    The Devils Ridge

Once, there was an old man, nobody knew who was, or how old he was, or where he came from. All they knew was that he was very fond of cold temperatures and liked long walks. Everyday he was spotted walking through the Devils Ridge, and every time somebody tried to go down to him and ask him who he was, he disappeared.

    Acirhon's Nest

Since the defeat of Revolword, Elon Chorian ordered the Acirhon to build even more defenses. The Acirhon's Nest is located near Valholl, so they can reach Valholl fast when needed. PF: Secret alliances?!

    AoM: Barracks Phase One

Warning: Sparring is a great way to train, but be careful, as it can end with disastrous results (not for Mitgardians though, only Mitgardian wannabes) . Close up of the sparring match. Different view. Figless. This guy's been in so many of my MOCs, and he doesn't even have a name. . Don't worry, I'll think of one eventually. So, hope you liked it!

    Spine Trees (MCB II)

Mitgardia holds a large amount of different trees which you won't see in any other Guild. One of those trees is the Mitgardian Spine Tree. This tree is spread out from the clan lands to the tundra forests and it provides wood of a very high quality.

    The Tundra: MCB II

The Mitgardian tundra has many plains and forests, and is a magnet for hunters and wanderers. Here we have a Mitgardian adventurer hiking through the dense foliage. The adventurer. One more shot, just for giggles. This is my first entry for the Landscapes Mitgardian Community Build. Just a quickie.

    Mitgardian Voting House

Yes, I know it is too late but here's my latest build: the Mitgardian Voting House. A shot from a lower angle: Masa of Kaliphlin votes (hopefully for Mich ) C&C are welcome (and everyone VOTE MICH next time )!
