  1. Tragedy Before Destruction MAP NAME: STUDICA GRID: F3 The Devils Highway is a long winding patch of land that makes a perfect clearing through the jungles and canyons of southern Filace straight into Briolui. Through History and Time, this natural earthen roadway developed quite the folklore among locals. It is said that the road was carved by the devil himself to draw the war machines into hell and create a path for the unworthy to get away from it. 3. The dock worker was awakened by the sound of feet and hushed voices. He quickly got up and ran out to the dock where he found several men with guns and a large amount of barrels and crates on his pier. He gasped, and the leader of the men turned around and called him forward. Danger at the docks by Tfol Bricks, on Flickr "You will never tell anyone what is happening here. This is a military matter and will not be tampered with. Go back to your home and never tell anyone, for if you do, we will find you and you will spend your days in a dark prison". Danger at the docks by Tfol Bricks, on Flickr A soldier whispered to his comrade, "Good thing Sarge didn't shoot him" "I just don't know why no one can know about the supplies being sent to our allies?" 4. Living Like a King Map Name: Studica Grid: F2 Rick Robbins: High above Metropolis, the President of Filace resides in his penthouse on the 105th floor of his building which looks suited for a King. Our network was granted an exclusive sit down with the president during the media black out to discuss his the situation in the world and to try and understand how a man like this makes his decisions. The President: Welcome to my home Rick. Rick Robbins: Thank you for having us sir. This is truly a marvelous place you have here. Fit for a King if I say so. I'm in awe of the gold floors. The President: Thank you Rick. It's tremendous. I had it built by the best builders in the country. Let me show you around. The President: This here is the banner from the World Unity Fair that I was honored to chair for some time. These festivals are tremendous. Huge turn outs. Really great people. Rick Robbins: I hear we won't be having one this year, its truly unfortunate. Do you think we could use a little unity in a time like this? The President: I do. I will tell you this, we have great unity right now in our country and with our allies. Nobody wants what's going on right now. It's absurd frankly. Rick Robbins: I like what you have here on the wall. These old recruiting posters from way back. What do these mean to you? The President: It means a lot to me frankly. I think there is always more work to be done, no matter what point in life you are at. I gave up a comfortable life to be President. I have a great company and employ thousands of people. I could have very easily stuck to that life but work needed to be done. Our country is in big trouble. We've been getting pushed around for too long. Rick Robbins: Do you believe that to be the reason we've seen such provocation from Briolui and Toohati as of late? The President: Sure, they've been getting away with murder, literally, for so long now. They don't realize that the days of Filace laying down and taking it are over. Nobody wants bloodshed. It's horrible. The worst decision you have to make as a President is to send your men and women to war. But we cannot allow these practices any longer. **Loud Blaring Beeping Rings out from the Panel on the Wall** Rick Robbins: What in the world is that? The President: Stay calm Rick. That's my intercom from the security office on the first floor. *Touching the Panel* This is the President. **Sir we have a breach. We believe two intruders slipped passed security and are on their way up. Can you shelter in place until security arrives?** The President: Send your team up, we'll switch to the secure radio and follow protocol. Rick, take the pictures off the wall there. Rick Robbins: Mr. President, what should I do? The President: *Turning on the hand held secure radio he pulled from the wall* Comm Check, this is the President. **We have you sir.** The President: Rick, help me move the flag structure here. Rick Robbins: Sir what if your security doesn't make it in time? The President: They will Rick. If they don't we're prepared for that as well. Rick Robbins: Mr President! I'm no.... The President: Take the gun. My safe room is right across the hall. We'll be fine. Rick Robbins: The crew had to stop filming at that point and leave the equipment behind so we could fit in the safe room. We made it there with no trouble while the President watched over us until security arrived. The intruders were apprehended, we have no information on them at this time. I thanked the President for his hospitality and he vowed to reschedule with us to continue our discussion in the future.
  5. Mint Conditions Map Name: Bricklandia Grid Reference: G4 Seeing the inevitable war ahead, the New Brickika government has ordered the printing of more money. 7. FRAGO Mission 01 : Bothering the Seals The Deland Republic, The Marchy Fjörds, extreme South coast, Map Grid E10; World Map M5 The Seals we can encounter at the Southern coast of the Deland Republic have been disturbed by another type of SEAL... In fact, the Navy SEAL of the Deland Republic were not the only ones who had been sent to this protected area. It was an entire specialized team ! Sam Grumbrick, the Corporal in charge of the search party was one of the rudest men the Deland Republic Army could hire and he was arguing with every team member on any subject, just a way to show he was not really happy to babysit newbies on such a mission. - Grmbl... It is not the best place to find those drones parts... Grmbl... I can feel it ! Grumbled the Corporal. - Erh... Sir... If I can speak... I am reminding you we had a complete analysis of the Maritime Streams by our best scientists and they confirmed that the Spriznulo Drone parts could have been carried away here on our coast. Plus, we have the best portable radar we can have and I am a Pro with it ! interrupted the IT specialist, Mike Rosoft. - Grmbl... I already know that, I had the same briefing as you... Grmbl... You're only allowed to speak to me to tell me what you found soldier ! Remarked the Corporal. - Sir, yes, Sir ! Answered the IT specialist returning on his keyboard. - Grmbl.... Arhhh... Soldier... lamented the Corporal looking at a Soldier "fighting" with his equipment, What do you think you are doing here ?! ...Grmbl... - Erh... I am deploying the metal detectors, erh... Sir ! Answered the Private K. Lumsy, visibly not succeeding in assembling the device in his hands. - Grmbl... Private Al'Hadrin did it well, him ! Grmbl... Why are you stuck ?! Grmbl... Hurry up ! Find me that Piece of Crap from Spriznulo and get away of my sight ! Yelled the Corporal to the moustached Soldier. At last, The Corporal had to admit that the Navy SEAL were doing a good job searching on the sea bottom. Bothering the Seals (and the SEAL) was probably the best thing to do to have a chance to recover those drone parts. He just hoped the scientists in the Deland Republic were right and his team will quickly find what they were looking at. Honestly, him babysitting newbies ! It was under estimating his capabilities... Grmbl ! Here is my FRAGO build ! Hope you'll like it ! It was a real challenge to build quick and without loosing on quality ! Great challenge ! Of course, C&Cs are welcome ! In the Spoiler you have more pictures of the team, and of the figless build :
  8. Previous parts: Refnor Wants You! The Enlistment This exclusive broadcast is brought to you by Refnor News Network. RNN has all of the latest news hot off the press! Subscribe for more! "Welcome back from break, today we're reporting some more news about, well, Refnor." "There was a shooting in the city of Rookshire in Refnor several hours ago. Three Briolui gunmen opened fire in a mall. Fortunately a squad of Refnor military soldiers happened to be in the area and quickly came to the rescue. "One gunman was shot down and the other two were captured. "Fortunately, none were killed in the shooting, but this window was destroyed by a bullet. "Apparently the Refnor soldiers stood in the alley leading to the bathroom and thus got sufficient cover to defeat the gunmen. One cannot help but wonder if this attack was sent by the Briolui government. Our current intel seems to suggest the opposite but as it is wartime, assumptions cannot be made. I urge all citizens to be vigilant against any suspicious activities, be they from native Refnor citizens or foreigners." Next part: Capturing the Bridge
  9. OoC: Sorry for not rendering this build. Once I get Bluerender to work I will definitely render it. Previous parts: Refnor Wants You! After watching the General speak on TV, Sabrina and I decided to go enlist. We went to a Refnor recruiting camp and we enlisted under Commander Daniel (along with 5 other recruits). Jeff -- That's me! Sabrina -- My childhood friend. We've known each other since young. Bartholomew -- Bears an uncanny resemblance to a certain LEGO YouTuber... George -- Never joined the military when he was young, believes this is his time to make a difference Talia -- Usually wears a bright smile on her face. Matthias -- The 'cool' guy Commander Daniel -- Leader of our squad. Is a friendly man but is stern when necessary. The recruitment center was basically a reused warehouse. The words "REFNOR" were proudly displayed on the side. They were green, dark green, and brown beneath, to represent the lush greenery of our wonderful nation. The pavement was rather bumpy. Inside the recruitment center, we did many physical activities, such as... Lifting weights... Running... Pushups... Target Practice... and Paperwork... while Commander Daniel looked on. With Refnor at war now, we will soon be at the frontlines... Next part: Trouble at the Mall

  12. Upon receiving word from its intelligence network that Spriznulo lost not just one, but both its drones, the Toohatian government immediately deployed search teams to all corners of the nation, and mobilized every member of its intelligence network in and outside its borders. A coded message was received at 19:38 hours: "Asset #32A-461 reports seeing an explosion upon the eastern flank of Mt. Salvera [G5] at 19:17 hours. No fire, but a heat plume was visible with IR. Good hunting." At once, the nearest ground troops were driven in to begin searching the mountain, but due to adverse weather conditions, helicopters were unable to complete an infrared scan of the eastern mountain side. However, it was confirmed that the transponder is working and is transmitting a signal, though it's location has not yet been pinpointed. In addition, since aircraft are grounded, troops have been organized into patrols and deployed on foot into Aratore National Forest, beginning at 20:45 hours... Sgt. Leo: "Frosty, I'm receiving a signal from a transponder. It's weak, but signal strength increases with altitude. We'll have to climb to find it." Pvt. Frostrier: "Up we go then. I see nothing on IR yet, but the trees are thinner, so it should show up from farther. Radio CC-1 for instructions." Sgt. Leo: "CC-1, this is Brick, do you read?" CC-1: "Command reads you 5-by-5. Report." Sgt. Leo: "Altitude 5381, and the signal is getting stronger going up to the northwest. I think it crashed near the summit. Frosty is with me, we're climbing towards the signal. Next report when we reach altitude 6000, or locate the signal source. Trees are getting thinner, hope to have IR visual soon. Brick out." CC-1: "Command gives all-clear, proceed toward signal with all haste. Good hunting." FRAGO 1 Here's another pic. To the judges: this really is not how I wanted this build to be, but life happens, and this is all I could finish. Hope you like it! Thanks for looking! - Leonardo da Bricki

  14. FRAGO #001- Off Roading MAP NAME: STUDICA GRID: F3 - G3 Captain Beeze and his crew were pulled off of their checkpoint duty to investigate a nearby anomaly. With the recent news breaking on the missing drones from Spriznulo, multiple nations have organized searches and Filace is no different. Being a COAC Ally of Spriznulo is one thing and they will get the drone returned to them if we find it, but command is expecting a detailed study and analysis of the drone before it is returned. The team was relieved to be doing something instead of standing around waiting for the war to come to them. Command had received reports of a radar anomaly in the area and figured the team was close enough with their mobile radar site to check it out. Once they found a good elevation, they settled in and deployed small UAV, a comm relay, and turned on their radar site. The team sat until dusk when they finally got a hit. They packed up their gear. ] And headed out on their way vowing to return for the radar site.
  15. The Darker Side of Life Map Name: Studica Grid: H3 Throughout northern Briolui, scattered oil derricks and pump stations litter the arid lands providing the country with the fuel it needs to carry on. Jack: What do you make of all this? Chris: What, you mean us being here? Jack: Yeah, what do you think of our assignment. Chris: Well I'm bored sir. I'd prefer to be headed off to the front if I'm being honest. Jack: I got news for you kid, you're on the front lines. Any day now tanks might come rolling across the plains over there, or planes might come over the mountains. Keep your head on a swivel. Chris: Is this a delivery coming in? Jack: Yeah. He's here all the time hauling huge crates with his tiny tractor. Jack: Good Evening Abjan. Abjan: Good Evening my friends. Jack: A little late for a shipment tonight, no? Abjan: I don't ask these questions. With a war coming it, only makes sense that oil production will increase. They call me to drive you barrels, so I drive them. Jack: Okay, bring em in. Chris: *Whispering* You're not gonna check the truck first? Jack: No, we checked his truck for months. All it did was slow down production and waste our time. Besides, old Abjan is nothing to worry about. He's a relic of an old tribe who used to live up here in the North. For a long time they had a lot of influence in the area until they got cozy with some rebels. His family was killed years ago in a raid by our forces into his village looking for rebels. They were caught in the crossfire. I feel bad for him really. His business was ruined, he used to have one of the largest farms in the village. The old man barely scrapes by and lives alone to himself. Abjan: Hello George. George: Abjan. What are you doing here so late. Abjan: I don't ask these questions. They send me to deliver barrels, so I deliver them. George: I understand but, we just got them this morning. We don't even have anywhere to put them. George: I'm gonna go call this in and see why they sent you. Abjan: Do not make me use this George. I don't want to, but I will. If you stay out of our way, you won't get hurt. George: "Our" way? Abjan: We are here to take back what is ours. Abjan: For too long our people have stood by having our lands taken out from under us and our families killed by your government. We have laid down for too long and now with the support of your enemies, we finally have an opportunity to stand. Abjan: My men are redirecting your pump station to send the oil down the old pipeline which runs under our village. I have trucks coming to lock this station down. George: Just kill me now. Don't draw this out. Abjan: George, my friend. We are not going to kill you. You are one of the few with a brain, like Jack. You show respect to our people and know that your just our guests. No you are being spared to send a message to your government that we are through being walked on. They are going to be so tied down in their war, they won't have time to fight us too. MEANWHILE Jack: Something is wrong here. Chris: Huh? Jack: He's never here this long. I'm going to see why George isn't answering his radio. Abjan: GO! GO! Don't let them over here. Stop them! 18. [GBW] - CP 1 - EROTEMA – HOW TO PREPARE FOR AN INVASION There is a meeting at the Erotema´s Army Headquarters. Two officers of the Army Staff give instructions to prepare Erotema against an invasion from Briolui, and there is an officer of the Combat Engineers Brigade and another from the Mountain Brigade. There are also orders to improve Refnor´s and Filace´s land defenses. PREPAR1 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr Combat Engineers have many main functions: provide protection for their own troops by building shelters and other useful structures; provide mobility by clearing mine fields or building roads or bridges; and impair enemy movements by laying mines or preventing the use of bridges, roads, etc. This is what our 4-strong Combat Engineers squad is doing today. They have to prepare explosive charges in a bridge that leads to the capital town of Erotema, located in grid D4. It will be not the only bridge being prepared for an eventual invasion, of course. All the main bridges are to be prepared for an invasion (in grid E4 also). 19. The patrols returning from maneuvers in the west of Briolui had uncovered a series of points (Grid E5) through which light troops might be able to effect a ground strike into Refnor or Erotema. As plans took shape squds were tasked to reinforce some of these areas and bridging materials were brought in to facilitate higher speed deployment at a later time. Although these areas were lightly reinforced the likelihood was that the enemy wouldn't be able to bring any heavy equipment or armour to bear either. [GBW-CP1] - Toohati - Field Testing

Since Refnor declared war on Toohati, border patrols, security, and surveillance have been stepped up. [Grid square F-7] Today, Sgt. Leo is field-testing a newly developed FPV-L (Fast Patrol Vehicle-Light). The "Light" designation means it has minimal armor, and no offensive capabilities outside of whatever weapons the driver and passenger personally carry. "Base, this Brick, do you read me?" "Read you five-by-five, Brick. Report in." "Finished my patrol, all quiet, saw nothing but sand and grass. The new FPV works well, it's quiet, maneuverable, fast. Returning to base." "Copy that." 22. The Port of Edrin One of the major activity of the Deland Republic Capital Edrin is mainly focused on its Port. The recent troubles of the world accentuated the activity on the quays and it reached a such intensity that the Port laborers were at every corner preparing anything the Army or the Oil Companies wanted ! It is here, on those buzzing quays, F.Al'Hadrin was assigned to escort the Colonel MacIntosh supposed to inspect a delivery the Army was supposed to send to Toohati. It seemed the Port manager was troubled by this delivery... - No ! No ! No ! I will not mix this crate of Bombs with all the rest of the Chemical and Oil deposit ! Army or no, I am in charge here ! And I don't want an accident ! Said the Manager to the Colonel. - Yes ! Of course, Sir. But, we would really like to deliver these little gifts to our RON friends quickly... Do whatever it takes to secure it but it has to be in the next ship ! Do you understand ? Said coldly the Colonel. At this words, the manager saw it was pointless to argue with the Army and prepared the security mesures for this Special Delivery. Meanwhile some men of the Navy where going to the training. Here some men preparing a patrol : And there, the Sub attack workshop with a worker arming a little attack submarine : With all this Military preparations, the Port of Edrin is really bustling of activity now !
  23. Filace didn't exactly have an alternative to instituting the draft. The lack of soldiers left its ranks severely depleted, but the new draftees couldn't just be given a rifle and sent to the front. Of course, there simply wasn't enough time to properly train them, either. Thus, many of them got to enjoy an abridged boot camp before they were packed away and sent to some backwater post. Most of them ended up patrolling the border, some ended up setting up roadblocks, while a select few got the honor of joining the Naval Infantry and spending their days in an isolated, hot, humid jungle 152 miles from the nearest village (and the nearest girls) doing little more than watching a river and checking the papers of the occasional vehicle. Zone is E4 Comments and Criticism are most welcome. Rumble in the Jungle by Capt. Genaro, on Flickr "Aww, come on Sarge, even you've got to see this is bull. So I've got a girly mag, big deal." "Well, if you haven't figured it out by now, you soon will that some officers, especially these butterbars the academy keeps turning out, are real sticklers for the rules." "Yea, sometimes I think they send us draftees with the sticklers just as a sick joke." "You got out of four weeks of boot camp, kid. I wouldn't be complaining." "Oh, so that's supposed to help? Send us off to battle without even getting enough proper training?" "You know, Jackson, most of us wouldn't exactly consider standing guard on some quiet jungle road the same as being in battle. "But," "Shut it and get up! Butterbar's coming!" Rumble in the Jungle by Capt. Genaro, on Flickr "Private Jackson! Where in the Sentry's Code does it say a sentry shall rest and chat with his buddies?" "No where, sir!" "Then what the hell is your excuse!?" But before Jackson could answer, the Sargent's headset squawked. "Sir, a Centaur's coming up. Army by the markings." Rumble in the Jungle by Capt. Genaro, on Flickr The lieutenant began shouting orders as the men manning the bunker and mortar began getting into position. P1110393 by Capt. Genaro, on Flickr Built only a few weeks ago, the bunker was so new that the grass hadn't even grown back to the edge of the concrete walls. But that's not what the men were worried about. They were busy making sure that everything was perfect, that every man was at his exact position per the textbook. Of course, the MRAP probably didn't present a threat. Most likely just another supply of high-tech computers or some important civies (average civies had to travel on one of the massive barges hauling steel and cement). Probably a missile base, the men thought. Perhaps a new airfield or secret testing site. Whatever it was, it must be something big given the number of trucks and barges heading there. But of course, that wasn't what the men were worried about. Right now they were making sure that every last detail was perfect lest their commanding officer decide to write them up for inattention to duty, negligence, or whatever other offense came to his mind. Within seconds, everyone was at their places and a few minutes later the chirping and howls of various jungle animals was replaced with the low, steady rumble of 330 horsepower. The rumble continued to grow, and within a few moments, the massive Centaur came around the curve. The Sargent, or more accurately, whoever the informed the Sargent was right, Army markings and an Army crew. Rumble in the Jungle by Capt. Genaro, on Flickr As the massive vehicle came closer, Jackson couldn't help but wonder who came up with the Navy's checkpoint strategy. A bunch of guys with M4s, grenades, and a SAW versus one of these armored beasts. Hell, if that thing wasn't friendly, it could crash through the checkpoint and there wasn't anything anyone could do about it. And of course, Jackson, Sarge, and the Lieutenant wouldn't exactly be in a good position, considering that they were supposed to stand in the middle of the road just behind the paint-on-wood barrier. Fortunately for Jackson, this Centaur wasn't any different from any of the others, and it slowed down and came to a complete stop about five yards from the gate (if you could call it a gate). Rumble in the Jungle by Capt. Genaro, on Flickr The two front doors opened and the driver and passenger hopped out. They walked up to the gate, saluted the Lieutenant, and the driver handed over his papers. "We've already unlocked the back, sir. You man will have no trouble checking our cargo." The Lieutenant paused for a moment before speaking. He loved issuing orders, especially to soldiers, and he was rather upset that they were one step ahead of him. "As it should be!" the Lieutenant snapped in reply. As he read the soldier's papers, he continued. "But it looks like they have you Army guys playing delivery boy for naval computers." "Yes, sir. All we were told was that someone wanted the job done right for once." Rumble in the Jungle by Capt. Genaro, on Flickr At this, the Lieutenant's face began turning red and Jackson had a sudden coughing fit. He may have been in the Navy, but he was still green enough to laugh at the joke. The Lieutenant glared at him before shouting to the soldier behind the truck. "Private Goldberg, what have you found!" "Just two NeoGen X-5000s, boxes properly marked for delivery to Arthur Hastings, Brickeon Technology." "And the code?" "It matches Mr. Hastings', sir." Rumble in the Jungle by Capt. Genaro, on Flickr Returning the papers to the driver, the lieutenant told the driver "you're clear to go." Then to his own men, "Sargent, clear the road and get this gate up!" (GBW-CP1) Refnor-Digging In

After declaring war on Briolui, Refnor started to move troops to the border between itself and it's new adversary. Trenches were being dug into the green pastures and hillsides, and troops were already wheeling in howitzers and carrying in crates of rifles, ready at any moment for an attack....
