Dr Rod Posted September 22, 2015 Recently three GoH members (Myself, I Scream Clone and Frumpy) collaborated together on a build for a local Sydney show. Shadow Woods 06 by Dr. Rod, on Flickr The left side is by I Scream Clone, the forest by myself and the right side by Frumpy. The diorama shows a Nocturnus and Avalonian castle, separated by the "Shadowpath Forest". Location is the North west corner of Nocturnus, in the foothills of the Rakath Mountains. Will link to more detailed photos when available. Shadow Woods 03 by Dr. Rod, on Flickr Dr Rod

Blufiji Posted September 22, 2015 Good to see you guys back at it. The castles really do match the look of their guilds, and the forest is really dense. Wonderful work all three of you.
TitusV Posted September 22, 2015 I jus don't want to know how much time and bricks you put into that (MOC seems so small a word)
Mike S Posted September 22, 2015 I really like the classic feel of this! Scenes like this are what make me remember my childhood Lego imaginations and want to get my bricks out and start building.

Gideon Posted October 1, 2015 Excellent collab! How big is it? As a collab organizer in Swebrick I would also be interested in knowing how you coordinated the build and how the interfaces between the modules look like?

Dr Rod Posted October 6, 2015 (edited) Excellent collab! How big is it? As a collab organizer in Swebrick I would also be interested in knowing how you coordinated the build and how the interfaces between the modules look like? It is 4x12 32 baseplates. We collaborated via photos and FB messages. We planned a layup day but it fell through due to work committments. I built the forest edges/interfaces using photographs of the two end sections and aimed to be a plate or two below the corresponding section. Then I just took plate to add around and lock sections together. All the plants were added on site, took 4.5 hours to place them all and build the trees :) Dr Rod Edited October 6, 2015 by Dr Rod
kabel Posted October 6, 2015 I really love all of this and hope that one of these days I will do a collab of this size with someone else too. However, where is the place Avalonia and Nocturnus share a border? Shouldn't Cedrica be in the way?

frumpy Posted October 10, 2015 Maybe.. or maybe some crazy tight wearing Avalonian decided to plant a castle there for funsies.. Dr Rod I may wear tights (and look good in them) but I'm not crazy - my mum had me tested... Here is a picture of my end.
ZCerberus Posted October 10, 2015 I may wear tights (and look good in them) but I'm not crazy - my mum had me tested... I'd be cool if it weren't for all the Avalonian-ness.
