What I think has to be done is to make references to trains in other sets. For example: make a modular railway station, some people might get into trains then. I also think that appealing train side structures would help to get more people into trains!

I haven't been too keen about American engines, but I really like this one! You did a great job on this, especially the curves!

SBrick makes your trains smarter - Kickstarter
ScotNick replied to pasztorl's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Wow, that sounds great. So for a (railway) crane I'd need 3 motors to control, which wasn't possible with the Lego receiver. There'd be new possibilities with this new receiver! -
Really lovely buildings! They look great and still simple

Those are both great designs. But to me the the round windows look a lot better than the square ones, maybe it's just that I like them better. There is also a lot of roof detail, and you can see the seats

Hmmm, thanks! But if I can remember correctly Bricktrix' model used BBB XL drivers, does that matter for the LDD file?

[Software] LDD2PovRay
ScotNick replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Thanks, I did that, but here comes the next problem: First of all I didn't have the Folder "LDDIncludes" so I created it, but of course it didn't have anything in it, any idea how to get it? -
[Software] LDD2PovRay
ScotNick replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I recently downloaded pov ray and the LDD2PovRay converter but get this error message all the time when converting: Can anyone help me? Does anyone know what the problem is? Thanks in advance! -
Looks really nice. You should take more pictures of your now finished station, it looks amazing!

All your cars are great. They are sleek and it's easy to recognize them. They really look great, I'm not bothered with the photos Brick on Gwail

If the trains run in the opposite direction it will be possible to run both at the same time with the double crossover. Are you gonna build something around the layout, or only the tracks? It's looking great so far!

I also got the 4559 as my first 9V set and currently got an offer for 4511 and 4512 (both complete, motors work), each 80€. What would you say, is it worth it?

That looks awesome! I really like how everything works together!

I've really liked the idea of having a slot car system, and I really admire yours and the cars you have built for it. But I think the curves' radii are too tight, so I've some up with an even more snotted idea Here the pic of the LDD: I'll add the lfx, just in case you want to have it. SnottedCurve.lxf

I can't remember seeing something like that, but if you want to try your hands on that, I just got an idea: You could use the old 12V grey tracks and put the curves sideways to get the incline. Hope that helps!

Great work on that tank engine with the detailing. I just hope it doesn't have too much overhang when going around corners. Haha, I don't know if they count it like 2-3-1 anywhere!? At least here in Austria you count the non-powered axles with numbers and the powered ones with capital letters (I think that'y the most common way in Europe). Furthermore you can add an apostrophe after the nonpowered axle if the trailing truck is movable. Like 2'C1' in this case.

Kickstarter: ME Models Tracks for both metal and ABS only track pieces
ScotNick replied to JopieK's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Congrats! But first for a question: I just wanted to ask if it would be much difference to drill more holes on the bottom of the R56 curved rails, as some people may want to have a more realistic distance between the sleepers. Like this, just with the curved rails: The only problem I would see is to connect these curves, but I'm sure someone would find a solution. -
I added the file in this post, have fun with it Thanks! AEC Routemaster.lxf

Really cool. But maybe let some plants grow out of the window or something like that, as it looks too regular to me. Despite that perfect, as someone mentioned above, the graffiti adds the touch to that building!
