  1. That's a nice little moc. I esecially like how you made the christmas trees, outstanding job!
  2. Hey there, Some people at the Train Tech forum probably know me, I have designed a bunch of trains in LDD, so here are some of my brickbuilt Lego creations. I don't own much Lego (compared to some guys here), but when I have something I want it look very well, which means that there aren't many creations of mine here. I don't even have a town, or a single house, but I plan to build houses in the future. So here is the first one: I had an American 50s car in vision, but also saw some creations on flickr (and EB as well, I think) that look similar and I would like to give credit for, but I can't remember were exactly I found it. Side view: Front view: Top view: And the car has also springs: The second car is a truck, based on the car of the Winter Village Cottage, but widened by two studs: Thanks for watching!
  3. Great detail here and there, I especially love, how you covered the roof and everything else in snow . The house looks very well, is there real version of this ?
  4. Oh well, thanks, but I don't know if I'll make all of those designs in real bricks ( I plan to make some of them). Small update: Here is an improvement of the red coaches and a newly designed brake van. I basically improved the wheel design:
  5. That looks so great, I haven't seen a more realistic one yet. Especially as I have been in one of those quite often . Is there any reason you make models of Austrian trains ?
  6. That turntable is very well made, although it's not purist . Have you thought of turning the turntable by powering some wheels under the turntable, the monorail motor looks a little odd to me ?
  7. That's a lovely station! I really like the snot technique of the rail car, and the tree looks very well too!
  8. Your station is really coming out very well! Do you have a specific plan (in mind, drawn,...)? I really like that design . Brick on!
  9. Heeeey again, I've been busy working on Murdoch (basically a model of a BR 9F). It took me quite some time, especially the tender. The pistons aren't finished yet. Although I'm not satisfied with the result here it is. If you have anything to criticize or suggest you are welcome to do so. A view from the back: And some "Landscape" pics: I was also working on a mail van, and a milk van: That's all for now. And yes, I'll brick on , cheers ScotNick!
  10. Everytime I see your models I wonder how you get them that accurately. The sound fits the engine very nicely too - it adds some realism to it. Well done !
  11. Hi, I've lurked around this Forum for about a year, have already posted some stuff, but realized just a while ago that there is a thread like this. My name is Nick, I'm from Vienna, Austria and am 16 years old, so I don't know, if I should call myself an AFOL. I really like to build very detailed, but as I'm still a student, my budget is small, and I'm pretty much limited on parts. The Emerald Night was my absolute dream when I heard of it. Later in 2010 I saw a competition were you had practically nothing to do to get 200 Euros to spend. Luckily I won and spend my money on 2 Emerald Nights. I'm still so happy I did this. :sweet:From that time on I invested much of my money in Lego. What I really like is the new Lego store in Vienna, but the best is that there will open a second new Lego Store about 20 minutes away from my home I like to build trucks, cars, trains and houses, so I'll mostly be active in the Town-, and Train Tech-section. I hope to see you there. Greetings from Vienna, Nick P.S.: I also still like Thomas and Friends and designed some engines in LDD, because all of them are based on real engines.
  12. I wouldn't use the wheels that came with it as you can't go over switches with this wheels.
  13. That one looks great But how does it gonna tow trailers?
  14. Or just cover the gap with green stuff and plants so you can't see it anymore?!
  15. I designed a lamp for you: Here is one with a little bit more details: Hope I was able to help.
  16. I visited the store yesterday and have to say that it is pretty big. First the store itself: The inside: The exclusive sets: Some showcases and a play area: The store also sells PF products separately Also the Brickjournal is sold there: The PaB-wall with some, at least for me, very useful parts: Tires: Rims: Windscreens Windows Ladders Earth green 1x1 bricks Some wall elements And some green/plants stuff If you buy something for at least € 30 youl get: On Wednesday: a police Helicopter (I assume it is from a polybeg, nothing special) (limited with 300) On Thursday: a t-shirt (limited with 300) On Friday: a miniature Lego store (limited with 300) On Saturday: 3 minifigures: 2 look like this: And I was told that the third one is Felix Baumgartner, the guy who jumped from the Stratosphere (Red Bull Stratos) I hope you liked it!
  17. Maybe Knapford? At least that's the name of the big station on Sodor. Do you already have engines and rolling stock, or are you building on them? Looks good so far, brick on!
  18. They really look great, but you need a "The Lego Movie" poster! :)
  19. Hi, I am currently working on a 4-4-2 steam engine and need some help. The base looks like this: I know that I can fit a 88002 PF Motor here, but the engine would run muuch too fast and wouldn't have much hauling power, so I wondered what I would have to do to get it to the same speed as the other PF trains, if possible. Is there a possibility, and how would I have to do that???
  20. 3 words: I love it! This is awesome! I love the round stairs, the deco, the texture of the street, aaaand it fits very nicely to the Palace Cinema, well done. My only concern is the height of the bridge.
  21. Finally we have one too, I waited for that soo long. After you saying that, I'm happy to know that I am not to be the only one on this forum living in Vienna. BTW: Every brand store has a Pick a Brick wall :)
  22. Well, the Silver Mine has two kinds of track: narrow gauge and standard gauge. The standard gauge track won't work. However the narrow gauge one consists of two rails but together, the same way as the blue and grey track from the first Lego trains. With leaving a rather small gap you definitely could make a loop ore more.
  23. I think so, but you have to watch out that the blue and red tape is not connected (on my sketch).
  24. At least you need wires to get electricity over the frog, but it would also be good to have the other wires too, just in case...
  25. I'm currently working on Murdoch, and plan on more engines, whatever is possible. I have also updated Duck to LDraw.
