  1. I have been lucky twice with lego : The first was when i was about 8 and i was walking with my dad past this charity shop by my house. When i look in i was astonnished to find a huge box with what i would later find out to be : 6376 breezway cafe 6666 ambulance (best ambulance ever) 6552 rocky river retreat 6398 central precinct HQ 6472 gas n' wash express (the one that the new garage comming out is based on) 6595 surf shack 6670 rescue rig 6593 blaze battler 6353 coastal cutter 6658 bulldozer and many more including some big truck with a space shuttle on it! and baseplates, cars, trees, and a load of figs! these sets created the best city ever made and all my friends were sooooo gelous! :-D and all for

  4. Hello! I am here with the Bowie Baysox Baseball Club (Minor League Class Double A Affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles) located at Prince George's Stadium in Bowie, MD. I am posting to let all of you know about a really fun event that we are having soon. On July 20 and 21 we are hosting our first annual LEGO Brick Fest Night! The widely known LEGO Brick Fest Live will be coming to our stadium and we will have many other LEGO themed events, displays, vendors and promotions during the game. Tickets for the game start at just 7 dollars! VIP tickets are also available (limited quantities) for each game. The 22 dollar VIP ticket gets you a box seat (100 level) to the game, early entrance to the stadium and exclusive LEGO content courtesy of LEGO Brick Fest Live on our suite level. Regular admission tickets will also get you access to LEGO content on the main concourse level, but not the VIP exclusive content.   6. This is my first post here, so Greetings everyone! I have been salivating on the Mocs I have seen here for years. Had trouble getting LDD to work for 3(!!!) years. One day I was playing a game when the unused LDD popped up from nowhere and it runs fine ever since I have seen some fantastic X-Wings but not much love for the E-Wing, so I gave it shot. This is my first ever LDD Moc and probably my 4th in total, so all input is welcome. I still have trouble getting LDD to do what I want sometimes. About my E-Wing: I love both the old blocky and the more recent E-wing designs on the internet, so I tried to go somewhere down the middle road. I understand if design purists don't like my approach. My primary goal was to build a display (UCS?) model, but when I finished the external design, I wanted working internals as well for playability and swooshability. Something UCS models don't allow... After adding all the internals I had to redesign the whole exterior again, to make it strong enough. I tried to design my E-wing with the available parts that I have at home, so that was a huge limiting factor for both the parts and the color scheme. I'm sure I could improve the model if I plan to bricklink the missing parts. Features: -Functional landing gears -Storage compartment (Rear) -Generator compartment (Mid section) .2 generators can be pulled out of the craft -Droid compartment (Mid section). Droid can be pulled out of the craft after elevating the whole turret assembly -Rotateable and elevable turret (Above droid compartment) -Wings can be level for landing mode or dropped for flight mode -Internal Torpedo storage for 6 Proton torpedoes (Behind the pilot) -Reallstic cockpit design -Realistic thruster design with build in LED lighting powered by 2032 Battery for when the Star Wars fan friend come over for a beer Features that I had to drop because I was unable to solve it: -Joystick for the pilot -Loading arm for the proton torpedoes Future plans. I want to build the model as it stands now and keep improving it as new ideas, building techniques and part become available in the future. I would like to use everything I learned here to make my own X-Wing
  7. This iconic time machine, known to Science Fiction Fans worldwide, is from the classic 1960 George Pal movie "The Time Machine" based on the H.G. Wells novel.   8. The title says it all. I searched for a topic like this but was unable to find anything. I am wondering if leaving Lego pieces/sets assembled causes them to lose their clutch power over time? If so, does it come back when you take them apart? Currently I have all my LotR and Hobbit sets assembled and displayed in glass cabinets. I have all of my Lego minifigures lined up on base plates and stored in containers. I keep them all assembled because I am anal and worried they will get scratched up if I just throw them all in a tub together, or break them down and store them by parts in a jumbled mess. At the same time though, I noticed on the minifigures especially that they seem to be losing a lot of clutch power in their feet where they are connected to the base plates. This makes me wonder if all the pieces are losing it being assembled for extended periods of time.

It includes the (9V motorized) Town Square Tram (60097) and, of course, the huge Ferris Wheel (10247). It would be great, if you tell me, what you think. Do you have any suggestions?   11. Hello all! I don't normally post in this forum, and I normally don't do System MOC's very often (and the ones I do are normally in LDD, which this one is), but decided that, with the release of Muse's most recent album "Drones" and having flicked through all the amazing artistic representations of the songs on the album, I decided I wanted to MOC as many of those artworks as possible. This is the second one so far (you can view and comment on my first one, Psycho, here), named "The Handler". This one was a bit of an abstract and probably wouldn't completely work in real bricks, so I did it in LDD and did a couple of renderings of it. Firstly, the artistic rendering and comparison to the original artwork: And a plain render so you can see the true colours: I guess all I really found out from this is that 16M chains are really hard to position correctly in LDD, so please don't shoot me down because the chains aren't completely straight and impossible to connect at both ends the way I wanted! (p.s. if anyone knows how to get them straight, here's the file). Positive and constructive comments are really appreciated. If you've also got the new Muse album and would like to see more LEGO renderings of the artworks, you can say which song you'd like me to do next too. Enjoy!

The story so far: First Day Aboard the Avenger At The Table-Before The Storm Rescue Mission Reassigned Eliminating The Competition The Build/Story: After being reassigned and lots of delivering the podracer, along with lots logistics and paperwork from Tatooine, Beltar finally got into an AT-MP as his new Staff Sargent had promised. Even though Beltar read the manual multiple times, it was still nearly alien to him. Though, in a few long minutes, he finally got the hang of it. Beltar: “Sarge, what kind of medical purpose does this thing have?” Sarge: “Uh, cover fire? Kid, just do it…” Beltar: “Instructions? Anything? Just fire at the wall?” Sarge: “No, there are some targets that will appear in a minute, hit them all as fast as you can, if you miss them, they will loop back at the end. Please don't pull an Ol ‘Kerkerold’ He blew up half the facility. That’s when we decided to lock all missiles during training…” Beltar then received the green signal that the loop had been started. Beltar’s eyes watched trough the small window for the slightest movement. Then suddenly, he realized that it wasn't a moving target, but a bright red dot! He hit one, then another one. And they stayed lit. “Two-in-a-row, nice. I shouldn't get cocky yet though…” Beltar thought to himself. Sarge: Huh, two-in-a-row. Kirk, this kid may have some use yet . Captain Kirk: Aye, don't speak too soon though, a lot can go wrong… Like Ol’ K- Beltar: I can hear you two you know. Sarge: Focus on the targets! Meanwhile, an Imperial Adjustment Agency Officer* (IAA) watches on, with his two elite guards, they assess the surrounding troops at Bay 27 for possible relocation, reassignment, or to be relieved of duty. IAA Officer: Some of these boys are sloppy. Perhaps they can be ‘reassigned’ to a better location…” Guard 1: Agreed sir. Guard 2: Sir, I do not see what you mean. IAA Officer: Just listen to them! Stormtrooper 1: Hey Boris, do you think Beltar will pull an Ol’ Kerkerold? Boris: Nah, I was with him for a mission on Tatooine, seems like a good guy, he should do this. Oh! Two-in-a-row! I’ll take those 50 credits now. After this, I’ll grab a set of sabacc by the way. Stormtrooper 2: This is so boring. Even a janitor duty would be better...Especially if this guy blows up the walls... IAA Officer: That one, could be relocated to janitor duty. But their Sergeant and the one named Kirk are good at their job here, they can stay as well as this Boris character, others can move. But this Beltar. This Beltar shows promise. He may be useful in the future, oh there’s four-in-a-row now. He may be very, very useful. I shall write a path for him and file it to the IAA myself. Pending approval from the board of course. Guard 1: This doesn’t have to do with the fact that Beltar is your so- IAA Officer: Quiet. That is a private matter. He may be even better at my old job that I had late in the Clone Wars, except re-outfitted with an improved version of the suit of course, we shall wait for at least two months for that hopefully. Now let’s leave this area of the facility to judge the rest of the troops, then we shall return to Coruscant. Guard 1 and 2: Sir, yes sir. During the IAA discussion, Beltar managed to get a six-in-a-row before missing the 7th and 8th out of the ten causing an actual loop to happen, but he did complete it on the 2nd round. Epilogue: (Beltar has just gotten down from the AT-MP) Sarge: You did a great job so- (Commlink Buzzes) Uh-hu, command, this is SS-4459 reporting, I’ll get our team ready. Beltar, Admiral, no Commander Wiesson and two squadrons of stormtroopers just lost contact with us. From their last transmission, sounds like a rebel ambush. Boris! Get the squad ready. Beltar, follow me. Beltar: Admiral Wiesson? I know him, a good friend of mine, we have to get there, we got to get him out of there! Sarge: First, he’s now a commander. Second, let me finish. They just sent one medical team down already. They are now missing too. We are to search for survivors and get out of there ASAP. Looks like there will be some lower bunks available after this…I’ll brief the rest of the squad, you get the pilots ready. Beltar:...Understood sir... Sarge: Look, this Wiesson is your friend, if he is still alive, we will do anything we can to save him and any remaining men. I don’t like losing good men to rebels. Get to the hangar and inform the pilots. NOW! Beltar then scurried off and informed the pilots of the upcoming drop. They loaded an AT-MP on and prepared tents, stretchers, supplies…and wingsuits. “What on earth are they going to use those for?” Beltar thought to himself. More Pictures in the spoiler below. Also, the story isn't that great, for two reasons: 1: I don't have enough time since I still have to write 2 more threads today.. and 2: I don't really know what else to add, this build is more like a bridge which will allow me to develop Beltar's story further. This was a wip for at least a month and a half. Then it was completed for the last half month, but I didn't have a good camera, but now I do! I hinted about a lot of different things in this build… ~Beltar Edit: Forgot to Mention that Markus's build gave some inspiration. IAA* Fake Imperial Military Branch, may have importance later…

  19. I went looking for the Registry to print off a certificate for my kid today and I saw that Lego pulled the site. What a bummer! I went back and looked at what I saved from the site and I had enough to recreate the registry if you are interested.   21. On Saturday night I tried to introduce Lego to something that could best be described as a non-traditional Lego venue and when I did some horrible fat guy yelled at me. He screamed: "WHO BROUGHT LEGO???, THAT STUFF HURTS!!!!" at the top of his lungs. I just kinda sunk back into my chair and refused eye contact, and I don't think that anyone was the wiser. Has this oppression ever happened to anyone else here??? I was going to detail what happened, but someone happened to be videoing something else - perhaps unrelated and you catch this transaction right at the tail end of the video. It kinda spoiled the night for me (just so that no one here thinks that I'm exaggerating or something).
  22. The Imperial Army has built a canal passing through a larger island. The exit and entrances are guarded by Military outposts with few soldiers stationed in them. It's not the best, but I thought it turned out nice. Enjoy!

  24. Since there are so many animals in LEGO Friends, it seems obvious to build a Friends zoo. I got the idea at LEGO Fan Weekend in Skærbæk in Denmark last year where my first Friends MOC “Rainbow Holiday Center” was located next to another Friends MOC, which was a zoo, but just built in a different way than I would do it. Together with my 19-year-old son Lasse I started building the layout between Christmas and New Year. The layout was completed and exhibited for the first time at a Danish LEGO exhibition in the beginning of May.   25. NCS Express stands for NeoClassicSpace Express which describes the style I made this locomotive. Back in the days Lego used to make monorail and train sets with those large windscreens making them look like little spaceships on railway. That is where I got my inspiration for making this model. It has an all neon bright orange windscreen and cubical lines reminiscent of classic Lego style. From technical side it can be powered by the AA or AAA battery boxes, both fit within the body. alongside my other currently assembled train creations Thanks for watching!
