  1. 62.4 wheels might look good simply because they have a good size sidewall.
  2. Look at the pneumatic cylinders on the sides...
  3. I just found out something that will make many Technic builders who use LDD very happy. LDD now has the new parts from 42021!
  4. So the frame really is a part of the suspension, right?
  5. That's a really smart frame technique, I don't think I've ever seen that before. Do you mind if I use the design?
  6. It's always better to build only as big as needed rather than as big as possible.
  7. You've never seen Nico71's Piaggio APE?
  8. Do I spy unequal length double wishbones?
  9. "There aren't dents in the wall from any kind of catapult." "It doesn't hurt to get your fingers caught in perpendicularly meshed knob wheels directly powered by an XL motor."
  10. This axle can be easily be modified by changing the beam lengths on each side. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/technyk32/Ideas/my_crawler_front_axle.lxf
  11. If you're using Pythagorean triples, you have to add one to each number to get the stud length. For example, to make a 3,4,5 triangle, you would use a 4L, 5L, and 6L liftarm. Anyway, I'm pretty sure the orientation doesn't matter, as long as the longest side isn't one of the legs forming the right angle. I hope this makes sense, because I'm not really the best explainer.
  12. Man, Lego beat up your nuts pretty bad. :) But seriously though, this is really cool.
  13. I was thinking about that, but couldn't figure out how to do it with existing spider gears.
  14. I don't understand. Any side can really be the top.
  15. You might want to try reinforcing the suspension arms with a 3L liftarm, so there is no risk of any ball joints popping out.
  16. Totally tubular... :) Tubular really is your favorite, isn't it?
  17. Yes it should, but where does it say that?
  18. The Dukes of Hazzard General Lee. If you could build that in large scale and still be able to do jumps...
  19. I keep together the basic components of most of my suspensions. Basically, I only keep together the parts I would absolutely need to keep together. I'll post some pics soon. I have most of an i-beam suspension, 2 different types of Macpherson struts, a rigid axle front end, a truck axle with kingpin inclination, a mini V8 engine, and more.
  20. http://sariel.pl/2010/11/steered-suspension-for-heavy-trucks/
  21. It's a type of CV joint. It seems to be somewhat similar to 8880 CV joints, but with ball bearings allowing smoother movement.
  22. Would it be possible to create an Rzeppa CV joint?
  23. Very nice! I really like the way the steering is transferred to the front axle.
