Very nice! I love the wooden shop front and the shop interior. Colours work well together. Keep clicking those bricks together!

Yes, looking at the pics, I estimated 3 to 4 minifigs high for the chimney. Mind you, I don't have a great eye for these things, but I don't think I'm far off.
-
I read some people find the train somewhat small. I love the design. but my problem is, that it looks huge! This set will dwarf most of the official WV houses. That engine chimney looks to be at least 3,5 to 4 minifigs high! For our village, we'd like something smaller, like the brilliant design of dr_spock: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=103102 Anyway, 10254 looks great (if that's the real picture), and it will still look nice driving around the Christmas tree, so no chance of NOT buying it. But I doubt we will ever incorporate it in our village.

Brilliant set, and cheers very much for taking the time to create the review. The only minor thing with this set, in my opinion. is the colour combination: lime and red just looks slightly off to me. But hey, heavy equipment is not designed to look nice.

[Lego S@H Promotions]No London bus for Europe?
Withacee replied to Doge's topic in General LEGO Discussion
So did we (from the Netherlands)... What a let-down.Weird and completely useless freebie. But, it's free, so we can't complain. It's just that it seems to get worse and worse. With previous buys, we got a flower stand, balloon stand, and so on, really useful for the city. With Brick Bank, we got nothing!- 16 replies

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Withacee replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Generous? At 250 Euros instead of 159, they can afford to be! Jokes aside, I would love a Modular like that, but for now, just to be on the safe side, I shall treat this rumour as "a load of bollocks". -
I agree, but a train still better than a remake of an existing set, in my opinion.I would love to get a winter train. Anything to expand the winter village. I already own all the WV sets, so personally, I'm not waiting for another remake.

It's a bit difficult to say from the pictures, but I like the interior. We also used parts of that set for a modular supermarket. Not yet done, though. If it's supposed to go in a modular city, the current height might be too low. I'd say, put one more floor on it. That would still leave it lower than the average modular, but a bit more in perspective. This would also leave some room for a sign above the entrance, even with a trolley, maybe? Keep clicking those bricks together.

I would love to see that happen. I think Fun in the Park was the most useful set for our town ever. We bought two. And that winter themed set sounds perfect as well. Wishful thinking, probably. We'll have to twist TLG's arm. O great, now I want this!

Nice one! I really like the entrance with the lilac/purple arch above it, and the shop interior is great. Keep going!

Nice one, I really like it. I would love to see this in real bricks. It might look a bit over the top, colour-wise, but I know the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg, and it reminded me of this. Given the right context, it really works. I agree it might not look great next to some other modulars, but hey, that happens in every city in the world! And besides, the colours are easily replaced. Keep clicking those bricks together!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 16 Rumors and Discussion
Withacee replied to 8BrickMario's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Cheers for the heads up, and Amperzand, too. As soon as I saw the name of the Youtube poster, I didn't bother. She makes me want to stick two forks in my ears. Nonetheless, a great CMF series, though! 3 Mariachi 2 Hikers 2 Babysitters 2 Photographers 1 Penguin suit guy 1 Banana man 1 Dog show guy 1 Ice queen At least! -

Entry B - 2 Entry J - 1 -
Just my personal opinion, but this looks pretty ridiculous. Be it design-wise, price-wise, colour-combination-wise, I can't find any positives in this set. And that's a first for me. But, apparently, a lot of people like this one, so LEGO must be doing something right. Can't win them all. I've been spoiled to bits already by LEGO this year, so I'm not complaining.

Well, it might sound odd, an "indoor" zoo, but I absolutely love this idea. It can be arranged in a number of different ways, and one could even add a 16x32 cage, if one needs more space. Great details. and a very inventive solution with the walkways in front of the cages. My favourite parts are the façade, the aquarium and the monkey cage. Inventive concept. Supported. But seriously, polar bears and penguins, in one cage? (here we go again) Keep clicking those bricks together.

I was wondering why you have been so quiet lately. And not even an entry in last year's WV contest! Now I know why. Absolutely smashing. I have very little to add to the comments above. A true magnum opus. Are you going to integrate it in your existing winter village? Looks like there's still an open space! I'd love to see that. Keep clicking those bricks together!

Smashing build! I love the front, the fact that the roof is split into two parts and the "tunnel" for the ambulance. Interior looks great too. Keep it up, Pakita!

PS @CopMike: You seriously got your dimension conversions wrong. Time to go metric! • VW Beetle including surfboard and cooler measures over 11” (15cm) high, 10” (29cm) long and 4” (12cm) wide. 11" = 27,9 cm 10" = 25,4 cm 4" = 10,16 cm 15 cm = 5,9" 29 cm = 11,5" 12 cm = 4,7"

Well, as much as I hate this Californian surf/beach/sun theme, the car looks absolutely bloody perfect. Great details, and so much better than the original LEGO bug. Colour: we hoped for a light-ish blue or off-white. Thanks, LEGO! It's mine. MINE I say! MINE!

41129-1: Amusement Park Hot Dog Van Theme: Friends LXF File (LDD 4.3.9 - Brickset 2075) Errors: Print on cash register not in ldd; replaced with similar. Missing minidolls and hotdog suit Missing 2 tan hotdog buns (not yet in ldd) Missing stickers on mirror, photograph, round tile above background and four seats on top terrace Note: 1 sausage lies loose on the grill in the manual; I put it on the ground, same as 2 sausages that are supposed to be in the buns

Brilliant! Using the white bracket and ring and the "tooth" pieces for the dog's head is genious. Assuming the wheels on the dog represent it is running, great idea, very cartoon-like. Wonderful action scene in in the rendering, too! Keep it up!
