Thanks, Brickmark-I!I know what you mean, but the problem is, the original building is white, so I had no choice.

REVIEW: 71011 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15
Withacee replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Cheers for putting this up; looks like you put in a lot of work. I'm looking forward to this one; it's a brilliant series, as far as I'm concerned. -
Same here! My wife's even worse: She just wants to look at one overall picture of the set, based on which she decides weather she likes it or not. For the details: "Surprise me when I open the box!". Love that.

Nice one! Lovely scene. This can be put straight into any modular town. Since it looks to be an old town square (with the tiles and the fountain and all), maybe an old tree of some kind might add to the atmosphere, but there's not a lot of room left. Keep clicking those bricks together.

Smashing build. Great details on the interior. Love the entrance, with the set-back doors, and the bicycle shed and the sports room. Nice touch on the basement Keep clicking thoise bricks together.

I would be delighted if that proved to be true! There might still be hope, after all! Cheers for that. That looks brilliant! We also have a set-up every December.Might I ask what lighting system you used?
-
A lot of them are close, but I prefer 13, and after that, probably 10. Simpsons and 14 were my worst. Update after release of 15 and 16: these are both definitely way up there, as far as I'm concerned.

We like to stay flexible, because we change our town lay-out regularly, and also, we build a Winter Village diorama in the living room every December. So we use small Ikea garden tables called Väddö. they're 58x74 centimetres, and the legs don't stick out, so one can combine them in any way possible. Rectangular, u-shaped, long and narrow, and you can use as many as you want. We have loads of them. The ones you don't use can just be disassembled and temporarily stored, without taking up to much space. If one does not use base plates, it does need some kind of cover though, like a cloth or a board or something, to make it look better.

Cheers, carebear, for the comment! The toilet is in the bathroom on the top floor, to the bottom right of the shower itself. It's a bit difficult to see, because it is white, but it's definitely there. Keep clicking those bricks together.

Well, at 1,490 pieces, it's a lot more expensive per part than the average modular (at 2,400 to 2,700 parts for roughly the same price), but it might be the cheapest option. Depending on where you live, bricklinking it might prove to be even more expensive. It's a lovely set (I must say, we replaced all medium blue parts with tan), but it's a lot bigger than the other WV sets, so some people say it sticks out too much. We love it, and it's in our WV diorama every year. We just put it in the back, at a corner. Looks great.

A great, realistic looking building. Love the leaded windows. Nice doors, too! Maybe some dark bluish grey tiles on the corners for some more variation? The black "rope", is that a lightning rod? Keep clicking those bricks together.

Well, I really like the façade on this one, (great relief, achieved by clever parts usage, even though everything is gray), but the interior details absolutely do it for me. Colours, details, the works. What a lovely creation. Congratulations. Keep clicking those bricks together.

I like it, nice atmosphere. The papoose of the native american woman in the new minifig series 15 would have come in handy here to double as the baby jesus. Keep clicking those bricks together!

I know, but one can always hope, can't one! I hope the WV theme will be continued in coming years with new sets, but given Santa's workshop and this re-release, I don't get my hopes up too much. Time to get MOCing and reverse engineering!

Cheers for putting up the review. Some nice improvements, but not enough for me to pick it up. The original set is good enough for me. Pity the poll has no option "Yes, but only in addition to new sets, not in stead of new sets".

Great effort; I'm not a fan of the colour and design of the roof, but the trees and the whole scene are terrific. Keep clicking those bricks together!

Low profile or not, these are all great entries. Congratulations to all the entries, and the winners especially. Keep clicking those brick together!

Smashing. Detailing perfect both inside and out, great colours and a great rendition of the original. Keep clicking those bricks together! They're in the link under the main picture, gamejutzu. Prepare to be astounded, I definitely was.http://janetvand.deviantart.com/gallery/56892722/Her-Majesty-s-Theatre-London You are forgiven for that one

I like this one a lot! It looks quite romantic and fits in well with the rest of WV. Great colour combinations on the chimney, and the roof. Nice snow build-ups, too. The medium blue door and windows might look unexpected, but I think it works brilliantly with the rest of the colours. Good luck, and keep clicking those bricks together!
-
Lovely! I really like the colour combinations, and my favourite part is the ground floor façade on both buildings. Another classic. Keep clicking those bricks together!

I like it a lot. It's original, and I love the façade and the vine wall. Only comment: the lamp posts look a bit bulky, especially with their thick black posts. They take away too much attention from the building, the way I see it. I might prefer one white fabuland lamppost, the "modular" way. Keep clicking those bricks together!

Okay, this looks brilliant. Keep clicking those bricks together!
