  1. This is what I was talking about in post #76
  2. No, I was just building it with parts. When connecting one link it slightly pulls the hub towards that side and then when attaching the other side, it straightens it out, but you can feel that it has some tension because the angles are slightly longer than the links.
  3. This is the same gearbox in the Vamp gt. I have built 2 of them. One uses the old 8 tooth style gear and the other uses the new style. The new style seems to work better than the old ones. One Vamp gt works smoothly in reverse and the other has a tad more friction. I also have that gearbox module on my desk at work and it works fine in all gears. You say at the front and rear differentials you are running a 20t bevel to a 12t bevel? Maybe try going with a 16t gear on the other end of the 20t bevel to another 16t gear so that it is 1:1.
  4. I've been trying to reverse engineer the chassis from the underneath picture and it seems to me that the 1 x 6 steering links that being used to centralize the rear hubs are putting some stress on the the ball joints of the rear hub because they are not quite long enough to reach what I am assuming are gray tow pins in axle connectors due to the angle they are at. I don't know how much of a difference it will make in LDD. Of course I just may be building it wrong.
  5. Great car. The performance is really impressive and it has a sweet look. Having said that, I know I'll be in the minority here, but I am not the biggest fan of the macaroni necklace style of building with liftarms and pin connectors that seems to be the new craze. It's just not my cup of tea.
  6. I think the hinges that your doors opens on need relocated. The door is moving, but it doesn't appear that it is realistically moving out of the way enough for a passenger or driver to actually get inside. I would also scrap the engine in the back. You said that it is only there for appearance, but unfortunately that appearance looks very strange with it sticking out like that. Also with the gearbox, how do you get it to stop on the exact gear that you want without it moving too far? I think I've seen that before, but not sure where. Other than those few things, it's not too bad at all.
  7. I think it will be motorized, but only to change gears. The shifting paddles on the steering wheel don't look like they do anything other than move.
  8. I am interested in seeing that too. There was a new hot rod type car from crowkillers I had seen on facebook that was also implementing the little turntables into the doors. I watched the video for it, but still don't quite understand how it worked. Do you have any future plans for instructions for this Koenisgsegg?
  9. Oh, ok. I see. They move along with it. That is sweet!
  10. Nice detail on the model. From the side view the wheels look a bit small. Still very nice.
  11. Ok. I was confused because he said they were aesthetic but says they are connected and has lines pointing to them on the steering column labeling them and someone else mentioned about functioning paddle shifters. But they didn't really look functional as the thin liftarm is only catching 1/2 a stud.for the paddle and the mechanism schematic doesn't appear that they do anything.
  12. While I am completely blown away by this model. dare I say the back end of this prototype is lacking in comparison to the rest of the model and looks rushed? Also while it is fun speculating exactly what is going on with these apparent paddle shifters and how they work, the entire steering wheel area is kind of an eyesore.
  13. Been away for awhile and it looks like I have missed some great car MOCs. This one in particular is a pretty looking model. Wow. Perhaps a bit stubby from the side view, but that could just be my monitor. Interested to see how this new gearbox design works. Looks like a lot of gears. I see people commenting on this paddle shift mechanism, but the opening post says the paddles are purely aesthetic. I am confused.
  14. I've seen them sold for $50.00 each on bricklink. I know that I paid around $35.00 for just 2 of them a few years ago from a seller in Austria.
  15. I like the ideas behind this set, but the overall appearance is very poor.
  16. Those axles in the front look the exact same yellow color as the yellow 1/2 bushings. Or do we now have orange 2L axles? So they are going to axles of different sizes in different colors?
  17. Quite honestly, a technic RC Batmobile type vehicle actually makes perfect sense for this upcoming year. I can see numerous motorized gadgets and such popping out of it and changing it's appearance. The UCS Tumbler that was released was $200 and was out of stock a few times and it had zero playabilty as it was very fragile. This may not be the ultimate supercar that everyone is hoping for, but for a $300 set, it being Batman related is starting to make more sense justifying the high price tag. Having a technic RC car IMO would probably get boring for kids since it probably won't be very fast, but a motorized Batmobile with all kinds of features would be far more attractive even if it doesn't move very fast. Just my opinion of course.
  18. Didn't someone mention that they were on the new dragster?
  19. Great model Sariel. I love it.
  20. This model would be about perfect if not for the backwards steering. Is there anyway to correct this using only parts from the set?
  21. It is easy to say that you don't care based on your situation, but you might care if you were the actual victim of having your ideas being used or stolen and then passed off by someone else as they collect the credit.
